The amount of noodles in both the tom yum noodle soup and beef ball noodle soup was absurd. The least noodles I have ever seen in the bowls. The soup was good but the beef balls seemed undercooked in the middle. They also did not serve Thai ice tea like most Thai restaurants do. read more

The restaurant has a very nice Thai decor. Wontons were great. Green Curry' was excellent! Pad ke mao was very good but different than in USA. Noodles were thinner and a little crispy but very good. Service was impeccable. read more

I visited this Thai restaurant on a trip from SF Bay Area where we have excellent Thai food. This was one of the worst Thai restaurants I have been to. Ordered a vegetable tofu dish and veggies were half cooked. Sauce had a funny smell. And they have a very inconvenient cash only policy. For most of us from the states, this restaurant is lackluster and inconvenient. The food is good. Great even. But who cares? If you're from a metropolitan city in the U.S. you've already had great Thai food and this isn't really any better than anything you've had at a strip mall in hometown USA. First I'll describe the food - then the experience and why ultimately I don't recommend it. We had chicken green curry which was good. The curry was rich and authentic. The holy basil garlic beef was also good - but again not anything to write home about. The star of the meal was the papaya salad. Very bright and refreshing. The coconut seafood soup was delicious whereas the little chicken egg rolls were mediocre. All in all the food was decent. The restaurant offers something of an anomaly to Lisbon's otherwise bland cuisine. It offers visitors a break from the monotony of under seasoned grilled fish and pork. The restaurant seats maybe 20 and walk-ins didn't seam successful. Luckily we had made a reservation and service was quick and the few staff were very sure that they could maximize their revenue by turning the tables asap. So the service was insincere and abrupt. The gentlemen who seems to run it (maybe an owner-operator) is in need of a vacation. As a tourist, I expect businesses to cater to me and my timeline. The lack of table availability is one of the reasons I don't recommend it. Service is another. Thirdly and this is a big one IT'S EXPENSIVE and they DO NOT accept credit cards. What Thai restaurant has ever cost you $100 for two to eat? For that amount of money there should have been a pristine environment and excellent service. The fact that it's cash only is not only shady but enormously inconvenient for tourists - especially at this price point. Save your cravings for home people. Get back to the U.S. and have yourself some authentic Thai food for half the price. You'll thank me for it. (You're welcome). read more

The rating is more for service. Food is expensive but good we walked out with two entree and two soups for 53 Euro which i think is expensive at least. The service in my opinion is why the rating is a 3. Its hard to understand one of the waiters, when i saw some lint in my water i kindly asked him to give me a new glass. He gave me one but went to check behind the counter if there was something in it. He then showed it to the other waiter and said to themselves they both didn't see anything. Why did it matter? It was a glass and i wasn't asking for my money back..Just thought it was very rude. They charge 3 euros for rice with curries, how are you supposed to eat curry without rice? read more

After a week of grilled fish and beef and as much as we love Portuguese food, we wanted some ethnic food with spices. Sukhothai hits the spot. Small place, but is really good and authentic. We had tod man (fish cakes) and sautéed clams for appetizers. And for our meals, we had tum yum shrimp, red curry beef and squid salad. All were delicious. It's a little salty for us, but all the food we have had in Portugal has been salty, especially in the Azores. The place is small and busy when we had dinner around 9:30PM. The owner/server is very nice. We are going back for dinner again before we leave Lisbon. read more

Small place with Thai staff with broken Portuguese and English, kind of hard to understand them. But food is not bad, tasty but just a little bit salty and heavy on the source. Even the flavor of Thai tea is really strong. Overall, the price is a bit higher for the value read more
