I did see this on the agreement when booking, but the fact that I had to go to work unexpectedly and they "already waived the fee" for me two years ago made this entire situation infuriating. EDIT: The response to this review only supports my original conclusion toward this company with phrases like "you threatened to leave a bad review" and "if you didn't get your way" which is exactly why I attached screenshots. I will gladly let them keep my $85 if it encourages potential clients to take their business elsewhere. It is also inaccurate that their policy is industry standard, as I've worked at a salon and am currently a happy patron at several others.

I had never taken care of my skin consistently, but I know if I don't want a face lift in 20 years I have to get on it now. I've had three facials over the course of about eight weeks and it's *insane* how good my skin looks. When I came in, I had a ton of little-used product at home. Lisa sat down with me and sorted through what I had, talked to me about what to use when, why, and encouraged me to finish using the product I had paid for before switching to SkinCeuticals if that's what I wanted to do (she said it was fine if I wanted to keep using the over the counter stuff, too). I started her recommended regimen and gradually added a few new products after using up the things I already had. Last week, even my husband commented he noticed an improvement in my skin's appearance. Not only does Lisa provide skilled, professional service, but she's a genuine, warm, and sweet person. She's always professional, but I feel like I'm going to see a friend. She takes the time to thoroughly answer all my questions and educate me on what's happening to my skin, why it's happening, what I can do about it, and what to expect. Bonus? During every facial, Lisa rubs my feet, arms, and hands as part of the service while waiting for some of the masks and whatnot that need time to work. With how good my skin looks, I'd think she was great even without it. But having it be a part of the facial makes me love seeing her even more. I would absolutely recommend Lisa and Kimber Esthetics to anyone. She does great work!

Lisa took the time and paid the attention that is necessary for a top-notch brow wax, and they look spectacular. This wasn't just a slather and yank type wax, she trimmed, tweezed, powdered, waxed and tweezed again. I'm going back for a facial in November and can't wait to have that much detail paid to my skin. Her space is also super cute. It has a great boutique-y feel housed in a zen-like building. Bonus! ***UPDATE**** Just got my first facial from Lisa and I'm very happy with not only the results (thank you Lisa for the extractions and for zapping my zit), but also with the very Professional and attentive service she provided. I'm excited to continue the relationship in our (we are a team!) joint goal of slowing the inevitable aging of my skin. And of zapping more zits...it's so fulfilling! ;)

I didn't notice an elevator, but perhaps I just missed it. Once on that level they have several doors, but you enter the one with the opened door and the little sign out front. Arrival - I arrived early, just in case there were intake forms or I needed to change beforehand. However, they don't have a changing room or lockers. Instead, you change in your service room, with your items remaining there. Service - I booked a 1hr Deep Tissue Massage with Elsa, which was GREAT! The service started with burning something that smelled like Paolo Santo. The areas of pain welcomed the deep pressure, for other areas of my body it was too much. So I told her and she adjusted accordingly. There was music playing, which was a bit loud. However, it was soothing, with no odd pitches or tones so I didn't mind. What I did mind was the distractions from outside the room. Sadly, it was right by the entrance door (for that space) and the walls in the room don't go all the way up. Therefore, sounds of the heavy door opening and closing, people talking, squeaky floors as they walked by filled the air as I tried to immerse into the experience. During the service she did use some warm towels on me, and ended with the paolo santo (or perhaps it was sage) again. Departing- My massage therapist told me to meet her outside after I changed. I thought she meant outside of the service room so hung out in that lounge for a while, before deciding to go look for her, in the main lobby area. That's where I found and she checked me out. This made me wonder if there's a designated front desk/ guest service staff member. Anyway, while checking me out she also gave me a cup of water, her card, a promo card, Biscoff cookies and a mint. There were retail products there as well as in the previous room, but I didn't get a chance to really look before heading out. Anyway, based on my experience with Elsa, I would recommend and return.

Anyway, two haircuts with Tracy and I seriously cannot say enough positive things about her. I went shorter the second time to even out the layers and the result was a super cute bob. Sassy! They have an option to do a $79 monthly membership for facials, which seems like a good investment as they have a handful of facial options doing different things.
