Last year we came by Suite 115 on a whim, visiting from the US for a concert. It became one of the most memorable stops during our stay in Toronto. Our bartender Brennan (?) was fantastic and made fun of me for my love of espresso martinis, he made our night and we still joke about it. I see you guys have that as a special now haha. Sometimes you walk into a place and you just know. You just know that this place is next level and has seemingly been crafted to appeal solely to you. Suite 115, for me, is just such a place. I've been there four or five times now and every time I've had an amazing experience. From entering in that code to get in to the amazing bartenders to the dimly-lit atmosphere; everything hits me just right. At this point, I've tried a good chunk of the cocktails on their menu. My absolute favorite thus far is the 115 Boulevardier ("Brown Butter, Chocolate, Banana, Bearface Whisky, Campari, Sweet Vermouth"). It's a rich, ultra flavorful cocktail that drinks like a meal, practically. It's so damn good. And as if that weren't enough, the banana chocolate ganache that's included is mind-blowingly good. On my most recent visit, I tried the Eleanor's Reverie #2 ("Hornitos Plata Tequila, Mezcal Verde Ameras, Grapefruit, Cantaloupe, Agave, Bubbles"). I wasn't sure what to expect but holy moly is this an amazing cocktail. All the flavors work so well together, and it's a perfect summer drink, ultimately. I really do have to shout out the various bartenders at Suite 115. They've all made me feel so welcome and so at home. Dustin, in particular, is an amazing dude and a stellar mixologist. On one visit, I even asked to go off-menu with a Manhattan, my absolutely favorite cocktail. And of course they killed it. Easily one of the best Manhattans I've ever had. A brand-new cocktail bar drawing inspiration from a remarkably wide variety of cultures (Indonesian, Thai, Japanese, Caribbean, Brazilian, and more). Yet somehow, everything I tried exceeded expectations. Prices aren't cheap at around $23 a drink, but most cocktails come with a thoughtful pairing. Each proved to be a fantastic addition that elevated each drink. Service was warm and attentive throughout. The secret menu (unlocked by solving a riddle) was a delightful touch. Dadar Gulung Tropical, refreshing, and perfectly boozy. The included bite added a rich sweetness that complemented it beautifully. The Pandan flavor was simply elite. Easily one of the best cocktails I've ever had. H&M This drink pairs a subtle heat pairs with mango to great success. The accompanying mango rice cake was a clever touch with a wonderfully chewy texture. Miso Mushroom Arancini Absolutely delicious and packed with mushroom flavor. Served atop a mushroom puree, every bite was loaded with deep umami richness. Secret Drink A matcha-based cocktail unlocked by correctly answering the menu's riddle. I can't recall every nuance, but it was delicious. ...and The Sea I love a great dirty martini, and this one more than delivered. Roku Gin, wasabi, scallop, dill, and seaweed come together for the perfect oceanic punch. Spicy, briny, and utterly savory from start to finish. read more

My impromptu review may have been too "colorful", so I'm taking the time now to do an official one. My wife and I were in town for vacation and were on the prowl for legitimate speakeasies. Front and center, I want to give a standing ovation to Dustin and Santiago being some of the best people in the industry. As for what we enjoyed that evening: · The Old Man: remember the moment in Ratatouille where the smug critic had a flashback memory to his childhood upon the first bite of the dish? This beautiful drink did the same for my wife as she recalled the precious memories of her grandfather when she was a lot younger. Yeah, it was like that. · ... and The Sea: I can't begin to describe how complex this was. I'm already a fan girl when it comes to filthy martinis, but when that is combined with my love for Japanese cuisine - this put me in a very special and happy place. · The Tiny Savories: there are very few times when I take a whiff of a cocktail and nearly lose my physical capability to not drool out of my mouth. I'd be easily tricked to think I was about to take a bite out of a solid piece of food. · Dadar Gulung: my background is mainly Indonesian and I was surprised to have never heard of this dessert item. I don't know how it was done, but this was also a Ratatouille moment for me even though I never experienced it ever before. · Life at Suite: this made me feel like I was traveling the world in spirit form. There were parts of the aroma and taste that I was familiar with and other parts that I was mysteriously intrigued by. · 115 Boulevardier: on paper, nearly everything about it says sweet dessert, but I was pleasantly surprised at how savory it was. I can only guess that the dark chocolate ganache gave enough of a bitterness to offset the sweetness. · Mezcal BBQ: shoutout to Dustin for pulling out this joker from the deck because we're crazy about mezcal. If you close your eyes and think about a decadent glaze that is smeared on baby back ribs in perfect, warm weather with the intoxicating smell of barbecue smoke in the background - this cocktail will satisfy that sensation. We're so glad we purchased three bottles to take back home because it'll be incredibly challenging to find another place like this To the owners of Suite 115, I'd rank this as the world best speakeasy alongside Handshake in Mexico City. I found out this bar from Tiktok and knew I had to come try it while in town for the Bruno Mars concert. The day of our concert the show got rescheduled but it then gave my friend and I time to explore this gem. We love a good speakeasy type of hidden bar. When you first walk in it gives a moody and sophisticated vibe with the low lighting and minimalist decor. Then came the stars of the show. The drinks range from $22 -$25, which I don't mind paying for when it's such a unique curated cocktail that you're probably not going to have anywhere else. I ordered the Old Man which was an interesting take an Old Fashion with Milk Tea and a 115 Boulevardier while my friend ordered 2 Dadar Gulung. We loved how each drink came with a extra little treat. We also ordered the curly fries and dumplings. Both were very filling and good portion for sharing. Our bartender was great, he did a great job of explaining all of the drinks for us and providing recommendations. If ever back in Toronto I'll have to make stop to get another Old Man. read more

Came here for pre-dinner celebration drinks and had an amazing visit! Will definitely be back to try the rest of their cocktail menu. This bar is tastefully decorated with a speakeasy vibe. Our bartender, Jackie, elevated the experience as he was friendly and approachable, throwing in the occasional joke. Unfortunately, one of the cocktails we wanted to try was unavailable that night - he explained that there was an ingredient they weren't happy with and were working on tweaking it to improve the drink. We had the Heart of Normandy (Calvados Boulard, Pear, Apricot, Apple & Ice Wine Foam, Sakura Leaf) which was refreshing and the exact kind of cocktail to my taste. The salted dry leaf complimented the drink well, as strange as that sounds, and really whets your appetite. The 115 Boulevardier (Brown Butter, Chocolate, Banana, Bearface Whisky, Campari, Sweet Vermouth, Banana Chocolate Ganache) smelled heavenly if you're a chocolate lover, and was dark but not too bitter. The banana chocolate ganache was such a treat and was so well crafted, I could eat this as a dessert anytime. The Summer Solstice (21 Ramsbury Gin, Clarified Watermelon, Laphroaig, Sencha, Green Cardamom) smelled of watermelon with the aftertaste of cardamom - this spice added a unique fragrance to it that worked surprisingly well with the rest of the ingredients. Great "hidden" bar for some fun drinks. The inside of the bar is minimalist and there's lots of tables and bar seating for you to come with friends or a date. They have a variety of fun cocktails to try on their menu, and service was very sweet in explaining the menu and different ingredients in their drinks. I got the Old Man as I was very intrigued with their house Hong Kong milk tea blend that was in it, and the drink came with some small cookies to enjoy! Overall, very strong but interesting to try. I didn't realize it was a "speakeasy" so when I arrived, there was a code to get in. Don't be dumb like me and think "it's too easy" when you see 4 digits on the wall thankfully staff check the security cam and let me in. They were so friendly and gave me a free shot. They also made my non drinker friend an amazing 0% negroni that tasted like the real thing. I like it when it's not too crowded, it's a small ish space, when it's fully packed it can get quiet loud and difficult to hear over each other. SUITE 115 . . Big congrats on the grand opening @suite115.to My fiancé and I were so excited and happy when we found out Suite 114 is re-opening as Suite 115. They're located near College and Bathurst and like Suite 114, you enter a PIN at the door for access to the bar. The space is much larger than Suite 114 with tons of bar seats (the chairs are really comfortable). There's a huge list of cocktails on the menu, as well as a non-alcoholic drink, wine,cider and even food. There's even a secret menu if you can solve the riddle. We arrived around 6pm on Saturday and there was only one other table there. I really enjoyed the intimate and quiet setting during this time and talking to the bartenders. Service was impeccable. They recommended cocktails to us and even offered us free shots when we told them about our story. I can not wait to come back! . .
