When I confessed to the staff that I'm not fond of spicy food, they insisted that Puerto Rican, while flavorful, is not spicy unless you ask for a spicy sauce. They were absolutely right on that description. So far, I've had Monfongo (w/ shrimp), ground beef & cheese Pastalillo, loaded Relleno, and Maduros. Everything was delicious, but special shout-out to the Pastelillo, which was EXCELLENT. It's flaky fried dough, stuffed with your choice of protein. In my humble opintion, this is the best item on a menu filled with great food. Also...just added to the menu are Tres Leches cake, and Chocolate Tres Leches cake. The chocolate was great. I love that it was sweet, but not *too* sweet. I'll be ordering food here a lot.

Lots of locals and lunch crowd. Staff knew people by name when they came in. Everything was made by them. The pulled pork bowl was my favorite. The fried plantains in the bowl were awesome. If there is one thing I would change it is the dinning room. It is clean and spacious but very utilitarian. For all the ethnic charm of the staff and vibrant flavors the dinning room is spartan. Highly recommend you try this place - I drove out of my way to get here and it was worth it.

I looked in the front door window and lo and behold there were racks of donuts, cookies and other wonderful looking yummies! I stopped in and got a dozen doughnuts from the very friendly owner and they were GREAT! Inexpensive as well. Do yourself a favor and the next time you're in Campbell give this place a try, you'll be glad you did! P.S. Don't let the building facade fool you, this place is terrific.
