Every holiday season, she put a clean tablecloth on the dining room table, and spread flour over it. She then rolled sweet roll dough into a layer that covered the table and was so thin it was translucent. She then spread a mixture of brown sugar, butter, and finely ground walnuts over the dough. The tricky part was rolling the dough into a cylinder ( I helped with that part). The reward was a fragrant roll with many layers. Butter Maid is exactly like what my mother made, plus they have flavor choices she never dreamed of. The prices are very reasonable, and regular customers get great discount. A plus is that you can buy a cookie donation for our military troops!
