We stopped here during the Frankenmuth food truck festival to grab cupcakes to go. The service was friendly and the staff explained all cupcakes and their recommendations. Not pictured was the cuatro leches, which was definitely the best out of all the cupcakes we tried.

Time of date of visit

We are visiting Frankenmuth and I was very excited to come to Sugarhigh Bakery. We made it a point I to ensure we visited. It was a very disappointing experience. We came Monday January 20th around 1:30 and there were two employees a young girls and another lady that was older. The customer service was so bad it took everything in me not to leave. It completely ruined the experience. I purchased few items among them coffee, I simply asked the older lady if they had dark roast to which she answered they are all labeled. . I know how to read and yes they are all Labeled but the least I was expecting from Her es just to let me know in what direction to look or a simple I'm sorry I don't know or no we don't anything beside anything besides the answer I received. We were the only people in the store and she made it seem Like our precedence was a huge inconvenience. Pardon me for patronizing the business. It left such a bad tastes in my mouth my husband wanted to leave and not purchase anything but we don't live around the corner, I purchased my items and left. There were many other shops that were happy to service us.

Bluey Sugar cookies

They were great at communicating, my order was ready on time, and they were a huge hit at our party!! We will definitely be back! Love supporting local!

Gluten free brownie

One of the worst things about being Gluten free is amount of money that we spend on food only for it to taste like cardboard, gritty, dense or nothing like the original. Thank you @SugarHigh Bakery in #Frankenmuth for this piece of heaven!!! It tastes just like a chewy chocolatey brownie from my pre-gluten free days!!

Located in the touristy village of Frankenmuth, Michigan lies Sugar High Bakery. Their claim to fame is that they were a season 7 winner of Cupcake Wars on the Food Network. I have to admit, the award was well deserved as the cupcakes we had were unique and delicious! Some amazing flavours adorn this store, and unlike most tourist traps, this place is very solid. If I was a local, I can see myself frequenting this place often thus getting my ass fat! Solid 4/5 for solid cupcakes!

Cookie dough, Texas sheet cake, butter beer, chocolate peanut butter cupcakes, fruity pebble and lucky charms cereal treats

Cupcake wars for us this weekend! I remember when this bakery opened, then won cupcake wars in 2012 during season seven. We come here every time we're in town. I bought two cereal treats, fruity pebbles and lucky charms, a cake pop, cookie sandwich, and four cupcakes. Texas sheet cake is my absolute favorite. The chocolatey nutty ganache is heavenly. I also got the chocolate peanut butter, the frosting was creamy and flavorful. My youngest loves the cookie dough, and my oldest enjoyed the butter beer cupcake, a must buy for Harry Potter and Universal fans! It was bursting with butterscotch flavor, a nice touch far away from Hogwarts. Almost as good as Sprinkles Cupcakes but closer to home. With so few small business bakeries, we will continue to support our local winners.

Mom's 50th Bday cake

I would give 10 stars if I could. This place is AMAZING! I live in CA and was planning my mom's 50th birthday surprise and working with Sugarhigh was a breeze! Just a few emails and inspo photos and the cake turned out perfect. it was a cherry cake with a caramel filling & frosting, it was at delicious as it looks, plus it is gorgeous. I could not have been happier with this masterpiece!

Yummm

Great cupcakes. We make sure we visit every time we are in town. Wish they had mini cupcakes so we could get more varieties.

Super cute food stall on the main drag in Frankenmuth whipping up delicious, pillowy, warm, HEART…read moreSHAPED (I told you it was cute!) beignets with a ridiculous amount of powdered sugar. On a cold December night when we were walking around town it was bliss. We got a dozen to split/take home and when we got our order the bag was piping hot so I was forced to wait a minute which was VERY difficult. Ha. But they were worth the wait. We scarfed down a few right away and saved the rest for later. They actually warmed up really well the next day and were perfect with coffee on the couch on my first Sunday morning of holiday vacation. We also got chocolate, caramel, and cinnamon dipping sauces but honestly I liked them best plain. The cinnamon was my favorite of the three, though. The line was relatively long the Saturday night before Christmas but they had it down and it moved quickly. Both for ordering and getting our food. They also serve up hot cocoa, coffee, gator bites (yes, actual gator), and gumbo if your'e feeling peckish and/or adventurous. But we stuck with dessert and couldn't have been happier.

This time we had friends with us, so we grabbed a dozen, which came in a great deal. We also got multiple dipping sauces - Chocolate, Caramel and strawberry. The beignets were soft, fluffy, and perfectly made. They even added extra powdered sugar in the package, which honestly was almost too much to handle... but sometimes you just have to get a little messy and enjoy it. A sweet tradition for us in Frankenmuth and always worth the stop

I really want to love this place because it IS a cute little coffee shop with a lot of potential…read more The vibe is cozy at first glance, but once you settle in, you start noticing some things that could definitely use improvement... shaky tables, sparse seating, and a general "almost there" feeling with the interior. The bigger issue for me is the pricing and consistency. Charging an extra $1 for alternative milk in 2026 feels a little like cash grab? Especially when a lot of people order it out of necessity, not preference. On top of that, the specialty lattes have gone up another dollar in the past year, which makes the quality even more important. I've had good drinks here before, so I know they CAN do it well but this last visit was rough. My $6.50 "specialty" latte tasted like burnt coffee water with none of the flavor I ordered. For that 20% increase in price, I expect to actually taste the specialty part. That said, the employees were genuinely kind and super helpful. They happily added more almond milk to help salvage my very sad latte, and I appreciated their attitude a lot. Overall it's a cute spot with sweet staff, but the pricing and drink consistency need some serious attention. I'd love to see them tighten things up because it really could be great.

I loved how every aisle tells a different story -- sport-themed, college-themed, color-themed, Santa suits, personalized ornaments, beautifully detailed nativity scenes, and unique keepsakes you won't find anywhere else. It instantly makes you slow down and smile. You name it, they have it. Every section feels thoughtfully curated. It's not just shopping; it's an experience, you find yourself wandering, looking up, and taking it all in. That said, a few things to keep in mind: the store is huge and can feel overwhelming, it's almost always crowded, and with so many amazing options, it's easy to overspend. Some sections can feel repetitive, and the nonstop Christmas theme might be a bit much if you're not a big holiday fan. Even with these minor points, Bronner's remains a magical place, bringing out childlike joy and reminding you why the holidays feel so special.
