Known locally as "Ico Store." The town of Iconium (or what's left of it) is located just outside…read morethe main entrance to Boy Scout Camp Bartle. Their web site reads "Scott's Iconium Store is conveniently located next to nothing we are aware of ..." Ico Store is a local institution with raving fans from around the country. The building appears to be an early general store, circa 1900. During the summer, Ico Store serves literally thousands and thousands of Nehi Peach soda ice cream floats - it's their signature item. The store is said to be the largest distributor of Peach Nehi - you can buy as many cases as you wish to carry back with you! Ico Store also has a limited fast food menu - burgers and such. The store also serves as a trading post & convenience store for Scouters, carrying basic food items, sundries campers might need (bug spray, first aid, batteries, etc.) as well as a large portion of the store devoted to Scouting related items, such as Mic-O-Say tribal claws, etc. (Camp Bartle is the home of Mic-O-Say, an honor based camping society.) The store is rustic, but this is one stop that's well worth the treat for the adventurous as well as any Scouter. Also worth noting is that Ico Store maintains multiple hummingbird feeders, and we've seen what seems like dozens of hummingbirds each time we've stopped. They have outdoor picnic tables where you can settle in and enjoy your treat while watching the hummingbirds feed. Its rather a unique experience for small children. FYI - There is also a restaurant across the street, ToAdSuck Grill & Trading Company. It looked interesting but we didn't have time to try it, perhaps we'll catch it the next time we take a son to scout camp. Hopefully someone can post a review if they've been there?
