Pulled up w a low air alarm on my tire. Two people came over right away to help me find the problem and while I was waiting 2 more asked me if I'd been helped yet! Amazing. I asked if they had time to do my safety check and another guy hopped in and started right on it. I sat in the shade and waited about 15 mins until it was done. In my opinion the worst and unprofessional mechanic ever works there is this short oriental man who thinks he knows it all! He forgot to put shims in the axle and rear end and didn't grease the brand new u-joints , bearings and the new drive shafts and he overfilled 5 quarts of oil instead of the required 3 1/2 quarts which caused the rear seal to burst and he refused to take accountability and responsibility for his ignorance and his poor mechanical knowledge costing me $1600 to repair the rear seal at a better professional mechanic shop My vehicle was stuck there for over 6 months and I will never go back there If I could I would post zero stars because service and the unqualified mechanic is in the minus -- 0 zero stars for everything That mechanic should be fired for his incompetence!!! read more

Usually good service and friendly. Today went for my safety check and when the sticker was being put on my car went inside to pay. It wasn't busy and the lady who usually runs the register wasn't there. A younger Asian guy was just standing there and didn't say anything to me like hi can I help you or acknowledge I was standing in front of the register. After 5 minutes a female walks in and he acknowledges her, I inform him that I was standing there waiting. He keeps saying to me I'm sorry you're having a bad day. Finally he tells me that he can't help me and is getting someone who can. This young boy needs to learn basic educate and customer service. read more

My brother and some friends recommended this place for vehicle safety check. I was the first in line and when they opened, 30 minutes later my vehicle was pau. Bring your vehicle registration, vehicle insurance, and HDL (Hawaii Driver License). If your vehicle is missing a taillight or broken taillight lens they can replace it same day. This place does have a line for safety check so be prepared to wait a little. Or come 30 minutes before they open and be the first in line, like me :-) read more

Came here on a Saturday morning around 8:40 and had an oil change (comes with maintenance check) and safety check. Someone had been getting their oil changed at the time but they were almost done. It took about an hour and a half to complete, and cost around $75. read more

I came here to put air in my tires (looked flat). I thought I had a leak , maybe a nail or something but it was my needle in my valve stem. I went to the auto shop and a gentleman , Wayne, helped me. He gave me a tool and the needle I needed. I can do simple things and wasnt so difficult. Problem solved and was able to out air. Upon returning the tool and about to pay, Wayne said " no need to , just put gas (never needed gas yet lol)." That's what you call excellent customer service! Came here 11:20am and asked a big filippino guy if I can do my safety check but he said gotta come back at 2 because they all going lunch now I was like ummmm...okay. I was kindda bum out because honestly this is my first time doing a safety check in my whole life lol. So went to my car started looking for other places to do my safety check when another worker tap on my window asking if I was waiting for something and I said "oh no, I was gonna do my safety check but the guy said come back" but he said he could do it for me. Even tho he looked all sweaty and tired he still was kind enough to do it for me. This is the only place I put in gas. I've been coming here since I've had my first car so many years ago! The staff is really friendly and if you use their full service, they check your tires, clean your windshield, all the fluids. They do safety checks from 9-12 and then from 2-4, I think. The wait isn't long even though there is a lot of people in line already. The bathroom is pretty clean for a gas station. I love coming here to fill up. read more

Went to get Safety Check, 23 April 2019, there was only one person ahead of me. Had two bulbs not working, were immediately replaced by Mechanic doing Safety Check. Was less than half hour (30 Minutes) two bulbs replaced and Safety Check completed and was on my way back home to Mililani. I took my car here for an oil change. I usually do the oil change myself but it's just been a busy time and it was overdue for a change. This is my first time bringing my vehicle here for any type of service. I also had a whistling noise coming from the engine bay which I didn't tell them about because I was going to have a different mechanic work on it. Well, when my oil change was done, the mechanic gave me a call to notify me that my vehicle was ready for pick up, and I told him I would be there in about an hour. He then asked me if I noticed any unusual noise coming from the vehicle and I said yes and that I already have someone scheduled to fix it, and he said don't worry about it I already fixed it for you and I'm not going to charge you for it. I told him wow, thank you so much, and he explained that it was coming from the brake cylinder area, and he changed the part and only charged me for the oil change. I only have certain repair shops that I go to, but I will definitely add Sugar Mill Shell in Waipahu to my list of recommended automotive repair shops. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. 3 visits waiting over 1 hour each time all for a service check. On final return I was told all I would have to do is show registration and pick up my sticker. Upon return I was then told by the owner Lady that stated her husband was the head service mechanic to wait in the line of people needing new service checks. When trying to explain i had already had my service check she rudely cut me off saying the wait was 1.5 hours and if I wasn't happy go somewhere else next time. Wow, talk about aloha spirit. The best part of the whole experience was a service mechanic left a razor blade on the seat where a child could have seriously hurt them selves, Good thing I found it before any keike did. I've been a customer since 1976. Wayne and his staff are excellent. On my last visit, they couldn't handle the job since it involved something beyond their expertise (airbag/steering wheel). Wayne took my car to another shop, then picked it up when it was done. Talk about great service! Update: I had some trouble with the A/C which was intermittent and gave Wayne a call to set up an appointment. The A/C felt guilty and started working again ( after I cleaned some contacts on the relay). He informed me that there are indeed issues with this particular part and suggested I just change it. I think we've all been to places where they insist that you bring the car in and you end up paying for unnecessary "repairs". He may have lost out on some business by suggesting that I do it myself but as far as customer service/pr, it re-enforced the point that my family and I are lifetime customers. read more

I called the station this morning to report that my wallet was stolen and my card was used at their station. I asked if they have cameras and they don't. The manager didn't seem to care that I was going to dispute the charges because the dispute is going to affect the bank and not him(according to him). He also said, oh we get this all the time. If I was the owner, I would try to see about being proactive in stopping these scumbags from ripping off both potential customers and the business. My neighbor recommended this place a while back and my daughter's Toyota Echo's a/c was giving her problems so I brought it in for repairs. I called the day before and talked to Randall and set up an appt. for 8:30 am the following day. I got there a little early and he was just finishing up. He troubleshooted the system and was able to determine what the problem was. I was out of there in 30 minutes and my daughter was happy. I had a estimate by my BIL's friend and it was like $5-8C with a new compressor. I feel confident that you'll be treated right and the cost will be a pleasant surprise. FIRST TIME WENT THERE FOR MY SAFETY CHECK...NEVER GOING THERE EVER AGAIN!!! Went to the Shell today trying to get my safety check done, gave them my registration and a print out of my insurance card which I just renewed so my actual cards didn't come in, the woman said it can't be a copy, but she asked one of the safety check guys if it were possible, she came back saying that they need to see it through the app so I downloaded it, showed them but they said they needed to see the card?! When I clicked on the link through the app to view my cards, it prompted me saying that "insurance policy can't be viewed at this time". I called my insurance company and they told me that the printout I have IS THE SAME FILES as the link when clicked!! I had my insurance rep on the phone at the same time while explaining my situation to the old guy, but he was super rude! He just walked away with his back turned and said "gotta be through da app". WTF?? IT IS THE SAME THING!!! I left and went elsewhere where I got my safety check done in less than 10 minutes. read more
