It's conveniently located in formerly Barber point, former military installation, turn back to state. Located across the bowling center, this place is a mini mart and gas stop. Lots of items to shop for, and also has a barbershop inside. Unfortunately they only service military retirees, their families and service connected disability military veterans. The prices are comparable to outside stores. Down the street is the Army National Guard military installation, serving their needs. Lots of parking when not busy. read more

I would leave a negative star but it would not allow. I went in looking for my favorite beer which is Modelo Chelada, they have none in stock. My wife and I ask the counter if they have any in the back by also pointing at the beer section and giving the drinking signal. The Filipino lady points at the food section and say that the echeladas are over there. I try not to take it as in insult at first, but try again, and once again she does the same thing. My English is pretty good because I'm on vacation from California. I try one more time, she says it again and I finally say that at no time have I said Enchelada. Now I take it as an insult, but I just leave peacefully. Would never return and not recommend. If you work on a military establishment than speak English, don't insult the customer. read more

The NEX touch 'N Go off of Saratoga Avenue in Barbers Point is convenient for military personnel living on the Leeward Coast of the island. The facility is co-located with a barbershop and gas station, and the Navy Exchange Mini Mart has a Subway and ATM inside. There is also a Tropical Island Water machine and a Redbox kiosk at the location. The Mini Mart is open 7 days a week from as early at 0700. It's a festivus miracle! I recently brought in a 40lb propane tank for a refill. An empty tank usually fills with between 9.1 and 9.4 gallons, depending on if there is any air in the tank. 9.4 being the MAX capacity. Somehow they were able to put 9.5 gallons into my 40lb tank. Tried to explain to the cashier that it's impossible to, but they said that is what was put in. NEX making the impossible happen! I have been filling 40lb tank here for years! This is a first. Only other miracle was when they insisted they could only fit 6 gallons in a 40lb tank awhile ago. It must have been extra large propane molecules that week. Hallelujah! Been going here for years cool to have a place on the west side to go to. Hours are good and usually not so much of a line. Drinks are kept VERY cold. Which is VERY good when you been at the beach all day....gas is about the same as Costco lol but usually not a long line. No more subway and they stop putting hotdogs out after 2. Probably a good thing so your not eating whole day old hotdog lol. Be aware that if you get a haircut here there are usually LONG lines. The girls are efficient but stil the lines are long. Mostly retirees reliving their military days and guard folks on the guard weekends. Must have an ID card to get a haircut tho. read more

I was excited to be able to get cheap gas at this location. I didn't need to drive all the way to Pearl Harbor NEX when living in Ewa Beach. It's tucked away from the Main Street. Use GPS and Make sure to have a military ID or spousal related card to purchase things from the store. Bigger than a corner store but smaller than a Walmart. Able to get food items, fresh fruit, food for your pet, school supply items. Named brand items. There is also a Barber Shop and there was a long line to wait. read more

This shop and go is a Convenient store and gas station for military card holders only. The Ship Store has everything that you can possibly need from milk to detergent. They sell stuff that you might need to clean your car and they also have foods and supplies for those who have pets. They sell trinkets, swim and beach supplies as well. They have a little bit of everything. There is a Subway sandwich store located inside. The gas station is located outside, just to the right of the store. They also have a place where you can vacuum your car. Please Note: You'll have to ask for the key to to turn on the vacuum. You can use the same pump to fill your tires with air. Their is a Redbox , ATM, barbershop in the same location. I go to this store often, their prices are cheaper for those little things that I tend to run out of. You can also use your NEX discounted scratch off at the store. They were always super friendly and helpful. read more

Love coming here to put gas. Tend to get the best on the island here. Well, most of the time. After filling up, drive the car back around and park it. Time to do a little shopping. Inside there's a coffee station in case you haven't gotten yourself up yet. There's also Subway there for a quick lunch. Lots of people eat there. Everything is in one place - barber, shopette, gas station... one stop shopping, for sure. You seriously need to fix the issue with your has lane declining perfectly good credit cards. This is the 2nd time I've gone and my card was declined. I went to the window and they told me I had to tell them the exact amount of gas I wanted to pump. I'm not a fortune teller I don't know how much gas I'm gonna put in my car, due to the fluctuation of gas prices. I wanted to fill my gas up they couldn't kept my credit card they could have kept my ID card until the sale was final then charged me but I was told no I have to tell them the exact amount. Needless to say I left. How much money was just spent renovating these gasoline's and you continually have problems. read more

2017.11.03: My go to for gas and odd and ends. Staff is always pleasant. Though I have advise for the local cat lover. Hey though I enjoy the furry balls of madnesses. I urge you please do not feed them, we have a rat problem on the island and Hunger is a hell of a motivator for all species. They are natural born vermin/varmint murder machines. Let them do their thing Brah/Sista. Make sure they have water though. But let them be what nature made them, amazing little hunters. Five stars based on prices alone!! If you have a military ID this is the best place for gas. Really nice and fully stocked connivence store. Great prices on toiletries such as toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, lotions and more. Propane available, they refill on the spot. This is a very well hidden and small NEX convenience store. It is great that their actually is one in Kapolei, it does make sense anyway because of military housing near by. Parking is always available, and the fact that this is also a Gas Station! Subway is inside, Barbershop next door, REDBOX by the entrance, ATM inside and a decent selection of to-go foods and drinks and other items that you might need. Upon entering, ALL you smell is the fresh baked bread of SUBWAY. I love me some subway, but it always makes me HUNGRY even after I just ate. They don't carry crayola markers, or crayons or colored pencils. I know I know, why would I be looking for that here, but at the time that is what I needed and they don't carry it, and I wasn't the only one looking for them that day too. They do however, carry Victoria Secrets Sprays and lotions and some of your everyday basic items, such as laundry, and Bath items. It was nice to know they also sell SOME fresh fruits too, They have an aisle full of alcohol and a few fridges filled with beer, so I guess that's a good thing too. I love that they have sales at time for their soda and candy. So it is nice that this place is accommodating for military, just wish it wasn't so well hidden. read more

What a bittersweet find! What we have here is one of the last buildings standing from the old now decommissioned Barbers Point Air Station. So while it is very cool to be able to pull up here and get some quick gas or some items you forgot to get from the commissary, it is a bit sad to look around and see the shabby remnants of what was once a fully functioning military base. The staff here is friendly and the place is well stocked with essentials. They also have a decent cigar selection. read more

Disappointed. I love that there is a NEX Mini Mart nearby and a Gas n Go. Usually most of the sales clerks are very friendly and helpful. But today, a supervisor was not wearing her mask and talking to the previous customer before me. I over heard her telling her co-workers that she feels tired today. When she was ringing up my items her mask only covered her mouth & not her nose. She looked like she could have had a cold. She proceeded to bag my items and sneezed with her mask not covering her nose on my items and the bag she was holding. I was so angry that someone would be so careless and not think anything of it. I believe her coworkers witnessed what happened. This is disappointing & she was the supervisor on duty. She should be ensuring protocols are followed esp during a pandemic and the safety of patrons. I sanitized my items in my car and threw away the bag it was in. I hope she was vaccinated read more

It's great to have a military PX around Kapolei. It's the typical PX with beer, wines, liquor, soft drinks, chips, other snacks, limited groceries, and small toiletry items. Think of it as a 7-11 on steroids located on Barber's Point. Inside there is a Subway and there's a small fridge with sad looking sushi, bentos and sandwiches. The prices are great as usual, but you need a military ID or military dependent card to purchase anything from here. There is also gas pumps with low priced gas similar to that of Costco. Same thing with gas - you need to show your military ID to the camera for them to start the pumps. Service isn't overly friendly, but it's usually polite and quick. Parking is usually not a problem. read more

I have been coming to this great NEX shopette for years for gas, refreshments, haircuts, emergency household items, and friendly service from all who have worked there. Stopped in for a haircut yesterday and was sadly informed by the barbershop that 30 April 2020 will be the day they and the NEX shopette close their doors forever. Not sure if there is a plan for another store in the future but I will surely miss the familiar NEX customer service on West Side of the island. With all that said I plan to continue shopping there as much as I can until they close their doors and figured I would give them praise for a job well done in serving the military community for so many years. read more

Been going to this location for years. Gas, brew, etc, etc. Best part of this place is the Subway. Recently there has been a policy change. Associates have become very aggressive on ID checks. Happy to show my ID, but getting in my personal space while I withdrawing money from the BOH atm. This 5 foot gal got in my 6 foot space. Demanded "dis ID check now" and you show ID like "you go". You can request ID in a more Customer Friendly manner. I produced my proper ID and will now boycott this location.I would expect this level of rudeness from AAFES but not NEX. Emailed a formal complaint and was told a Manager would contact me to discuss. Maybe apologize for the incident. Well 5 days and no call. I was told by another associate that the theft rate has increased at this location. Well hire Loss Prevention and leave your remaining loyal customers alone. read more

This convenience store is the place to go to if you are in the military and need to stock up on snacks, cigarettes, liquor or gas. My husband frequents the barber shop next door for his haircuts and a subway is inside if you want some lunch. You have to ask the cashier for the air nozzle if you want to pump air into your tires. There is no tire pressure gauge on it so be sure to bring your own. A very convenient store with cheap prices. Beats going to the NEX if you live on the leeward side. read more

Nice little store it's a little sister of the NEX in salt lake not usually busy but still plenty of parking anyway very nice prices no tax of course but I'm not to sure if your not military if u could shop here I've never tried yet. I only come here on Wednesdays when I come to merchandise the store lots a liquor and wine one very long shelf full of them and the price match so go check in put already! read more
