$4.70 per gallon? Honestly, that's not bad at all, especially for Hawaii! It definitely competes with Costco gas prices in my book. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Safeway has a fueling station and that their gas prices were actually pretty reasonable. I usually think of Safeway for groceries, so discovering that I could conveniently fill up my tank here was a nice little bonus. I am normally getting gas only at Costco but I was in the area and I thought I'd give this place a try. read more

Update! They fixed the entry to the gas station. Much easier to fill up. Drive up and pick a line! Only issue is people still don't want to fill from the opposite side (hoses do reach both sides) So some pump lines are longer due to this. read more

Cheap and affordable Gas located here! That being said if that doesn't have your attention in a place like Hawaii then you're probably either a millionaire or maybe not from here. Located in Ewa, getting gas here is both affordable and easy. There usually is a line depending on the time of day that you go and the way the lot is structured into the station is a little different however it moves quickly with cars being able to utilize both sides regardless of where their tank is. If you utilize cash or debit you also save by paying around an average of 10 cents less or so per gallon over credit. Make sure to plug in your Safeway card number if you're a member as well! read more

Prices are really good, comparable to Costco BUT the gas pump itself pumps so incredibly slow it makes for very long lines - Costco pumps much much faster making it better especially if you're in a hurry! read more

Cheap gas!...did I get your attention!? If you're ever in the area Safeway Fuel Station is the best deal without membership and I've never had issues with insanely long lines here. Located in Ewa Beach Laulani Village Shopping Center I've discovered a few years back it's almost like a hidden secret that no one wants anyone else to know as it's tucked away way back next to City Mill. Be mindful if it's your first time as there is a single line to the pumps that you need to drive to the left of the station which can get long from what I've heard though I've never had that issue it's just hard to see if the farthest pump is open if you don't keep an eye out of a vehicle leaving is your only indication. On this day unleaded was 5.05 for payments by credit and 4.95 for cash and and with every $100 you spend at Safeway you earn one reward in which you can redeem for $.10 off a gallon and if you check on specials or promotions they do have 2X up to 5X points. Regardless just drive up and get a great deal no strings no membership card needed and that's a with that savings you can still treat yourself! Thank you! read more

I've passed by this fuel station many times and was finally able to try it out. There was a very short wait, this day; compared to lines I've seen in the past. The best part, though, was seeing the price per gallon drop to less than $4 when I entered my Safeway rewards number. I believe it was $3.39!!!!! Crazy! Now I understand why there's usually a line. A whole lot cheaper than the big box stores!! I think I'll definitely make the drive again! read more

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT Do NOT use the air pump machine at Safeway Honestly, would it be too much trouble to place an OUT OR ORDER sign as soon as you learn something is "out of order"? I mean, if I am not the first customer who had an issue with it, the same day, maybe let's use common sense and don't let anyone else use it? Just an idea! ‍‍ My tire pressure was at 30psi and that piece of poop machine they have a Safeway in Ewa, instead of dispensing air, took all the air out I left with 13psi. Luckily my tires are run flat! All the gas station could do for me was to finally put an "Out of order" sign on it... at my request!! The cashiers were super nice and sympathetic; but, come on Safeway management... keep your equipment in shape, or take it out! read more

Best fuel station I've used on island. Definitely cheaper than most places and if you use the app it is easy to fill-up without issue. Definitely worth signing up for the Safeway rewards. You get $.10 off a gallon for every $100 you spend at Safeway on groceries with a few restrictions. You can cash up to $1.00 worth of rewards at a time up to 25 gallons. Rewards expire so keep an eye on the app. Occasionally they have specials on the Safeway app where you can get multiple points per dollar on certain items. read more

Safeway and Gas go hand in hand; When you live near Ewa that it is! With the increase of gas prices, you know we all got to save money when we can! THIS is where I go. Why? If you go shopping at Safeway, you get these rewards. You can use it for free grocery items or...gas rewards! The more rewards you have, the more you save. I have saved from 10 cents per gallon to $1 off every gallon!! THAT'S FREAKING AWESOME. If math is not you thing, pretty much it is cheaper than any gas station you can name ok. If you are in the area and its your first time here are some tips: 1. Use your debit or cash to save 10 cents automatically 2. Enter your number for your Safeway rewards for additional off 3. Watch the price drop before you fuel, print that receipt so you can show that savings off. 4. Save your money for better things, like that Ross nearby. If you live in Ewa, this is the best place to go to save on gas. It took me years to write this review because I am selfish. I really didn't want anyone to know about my favorite gas station. If you don't believe me, then that's fine. You keep throwing your hard earned money away at Costco/Sam's. Go on with your bad self. read more

I've only put gas at the pump, and never gone in the convenience store. Went on 01/11/2024 and gas was $4.29 for the 92, and it's been steady at that price for a while. Also, I think it's the same as going to Costco or Sams Club. Downside is that this gas station does get busy. Best time I've seen to go is early in the morning. read more

I love that when you shop at Safeway you get gas rewards. Sometimes there's a long line, but that wait isn't too bad. The employees that work in the gas station store are always friendly and nice. It says that their pumps have a long hose so your car can go on either side but I've never tried it. There's also a little area for you to put air in your tires. read more

You can't go wrong with having the cheapest gas on Oahu that doesn't require a membership card you need to pay for. Also, you can get an additional ten cents off per gallon if you use your debit card or pay in cash. Located in Ewa Beach along Keaunui Drive, it's very convenient to get in and out of. Though, there's no dedicated driveway to the gas pumps, but it is known to drivers where to wait for the open pump. I'm not sure how busy this station gets, but I can imagine it being hectic because there's such a short amount of space for cars to wait until you're on the main roadway. Luckily, there were only a few cars when I came. The convenience store was very clean, organized, well-stocked, and every item was Safeway priced, not the jacked up convenient store prices. There needs to be more Safeway Gas Stations around the island located outside of town. You know it will be crazy if you put one in town. read more

Safeway sells gas? Not!!! Who knew? Now you do! For real! Use your Safeway card/membership for discounted gas at the pump. Cheap gas & conveniently located and **accessible. Located on Fort Weaver Road. I'll take the cheap gas and the sometimes longer than usual wait - any day. **Easily accessible without a wait during non peak hours (between 3-6pm). One way into the pumps (much like that of Costco) with idiots not wanting to move up to see which pumps are open - instead opt to wait at the first pump and in turn backing up the traffic onto Keaunui Drive. read more

Safeway Fuel Station - What you get by using your Safeway card - Gas Stations Near Me - Ewa Beach, Hawaii

Safeway gas continues to be the worst! The design of the entrance is the absolute worst Cars line up by City Mill to turn left, only to have impatient cars go around and cut in line by turning right into the line. There's no attendant to direct cars to move up Inconsiderate people wait in their cars for a pump on the same side as the their gas tank even though the hose is long enough to reach around. read more

I can make it. It's a gas station so what can I possibly write? Well located at the Laulani Village Shopping Center the actual entrance is from Palau Street. During busy hours (like rush hour), I see some cars block the intersection waiting for a pump. Just a head up people that some vehicles are going straight to pull in to housing and some just want to turn into the shopping center to get a parking space. Either way don't block the intersection. There's around 14 pumps and they all seems to work every time I'm there. That's because I was at pump 14 last time and walked to the cashier for prepaid gas. Remember gas is 10 cents cheaper per gallon if you pay with cash. Hey I'm still paying for my dinner at Tamorima. I'll ask if you read that review later. Anyway you can grab some snacks here and the place is pretty clean. If you have to use the restroom, you don't have to hold your breath. Just make sure your there before me, anyway. Lastly remember to use your Safeway club card if you have any for points you can use towards gas. Overall three stars. The enterance into the place could be better laid out. Some people come from the parking lot and cut in front of cars waiting patiently in Palau street. Now excuse me, I have to get a gallon of milk. Wonder where to go? M read more

3/2/2021 530pm...Very convenient and a lot of stations. It can get crazy busy but the line of cars move pretty fast. Anywho, I just want to give a shout out to the young attendee. Dang, I wish I got his name. But I was on pump 11 and was having some issues with the machine. This is my first time having any issues. Anyway, luckily there's a HELP button on the machine. Right away, the young attendee came out and was friendly and helped me... he left and still dang machine was giving me issues so I pressed the HELP button and he came out quickly and apologized when it wasn't even his fault. I just appreciate fast friendly and professional help! I really wish I got his name but I hope he knows who he is !! Thank you again amd keep up the good work !! read more

Plenty of gas pumps if you are in need of gas. Long hoses can reach even if you're gas tank is on the other side of the pump. Competitive pricing and easy in/out. Close to home and shopping. Love that they sometimes have some personnel directing traffic especially during rush hours. There is a small convenience store for soda, liquor, chips and other snacks on the go. I will now miss this location since I just switched to an EV. I hope they can add a charging station on this location, and each and every gas stations as well. read more

I never thought I'd get road rage at a gas station but this place, let me tell you. During peak hours people tend to form a line and wait even though there are pumps open. They either: A. Do not see the open pumps, even though I can and I'm behind them... B. Think the pump will not reach the opposite side of their car - which it WILL. I always do it and I drive a large SUV; I've seen people in bigger trucks do it. Yes I've been that jerk and went around 3 cars before, impatient? Maybe. But I'm not gonna sit in line like a tard when there's only 3/4 people waiting and 2-3 pumps open. Now I tend to go during off hours like idk, when I drive by and no one is really there hahah. ANYWHO, I love this gas station because it's big, it's cheap, it's clean, and oh yeah it's cheap! Especially when you have Safeway rewards points to redeem! read more

Besides Costco gas I highly recommend Safeway gas stations not only for the value but also for rewards you get and also get to use it towards your next pump. With the many hands touching the gas pumps though I would suggest that the business has like a sanitize wipes available to wipe down the area being touched read more

Located in the Laulani Village Shopping center on Keaunui Drive... not by Safeway but on the OPPOSITE end of the center. The station is clean with LOTS of gas pumps but the set up is a little frustrating. Because a single line is formed you can't really see the pumps that are available. ALL pumps have long hoses to accommodate any vehicle but you may encounter drivers that prefer to drive up to the pump in which their gas tank is located even tho they'll be several pumps available. NOTE: During peak hours the line will almost back up unto Keaunui Drive. Like most gas stations there is a little convenience store with snacks and drinks. You can also earn rewards with your Safeway card BUT make sure it's linked cause I swear I earn points in the store and as much times as I pump gas at the station I have ZERO points *smh* Despite these minor issues, you can't beat the price at the pump... about the same and sometimes a couple of cents cheaper than Costco. There IS a plus for westside peeps YAY! read more

This Gas station is great . They almost always Price Match Costco and they have lots of pumps as well. The station also has a small convenience store for all your needs. Station also offers water and air pump if your car needs any of those services. Only down side is that the line can get pretty long and it causes people to bicker a lot ! The station also works with safeway fuel reward points. So basically the way it works is; once you spend $100 at Safeway you get 1 fuel reward point. This point can be used at the pump to take off 10 cents per gallon. From my understanding when the attendant explained it to me. Apparently he's been there since opening. His name is Trevor and he is very helpful. So if you shop a lot at Safeway make sure you redeem your fuel points here ! Aside from that who can beat multiple pumps and decently priced gas! read more

I swear this has to be the cheapest gas in town! It's even cheaper than Costco! What cheaper than Costco? There's a convenient store that can pick up some snacks for the beach or coffee fix before you go to work. I love coming here for gas...besides, it's close to home. Located in the Laulani Shopping Center, it's location is convenient. There's Safeway, Ross, McDonald's & other restaurants near by. If you pay with cash, it's you get $.10 off and if you have the Safeway card with they can deduct off up to $.60 off. The only downfall is waiting in a long line to get to the pump, but totally worth the wait. read more

Good place to go for gas n food good quality and cheap i recommend this place to everyone

Great gas prices especially if you shop at Safeway. If not, using cash or debut will get you an even lower rate. The design of the queuing line sucks especially since people don't realize that the hose can go either side of the car. And no one to direct traffic. read more

I hate to put a bad review for a business when it's not their fault. My issue is with some of the customers. Since the gas prices are low if you pay with cash or debit the lines are long. What irks me to no end is when some cars wait for the gas pump on the side of their gas cap! Every gas pump can be used from either side since they have extended hoses! The lines at times goes beyond the entrance to the street because some cars want to wait!! Really people??!!! read more

I definitely appreciate this station being so close to home. I use it ONLY if I have Safeway Gas Rewards and can use my debit card. Otherwise, I choose Costco. I wish they had longer hours, but beggars can't be choosers! I've only had an issue once with this station. It was later at night and the majority of the pumps said "update in progress" and would not let anyone pump. Needless to say, we were all playing musical pumps. It was kind of tricky but eventually we all either found a working pump or the pumps had "updated" themselves. I have never had any contact with the staff, so I can't comment on that. All in all, I am thankful for this Safeway gas station! read more

I went there a few weeks ago to fill up my SUV. The pump was so slow it took me over 30 min to pump my gas. And the amount came to 20 gallons. I have never put in 20 gallons for the three years I have owned the car. Even with the gas light on it's never over 18 gallons. I had a quarter tank going in and it came to a slow 20 gallons. Pump straight up stole from me and I know it's governed by some agencies that are supposed to catch that. Ripped off is what I was. read more

This gas station is located in Ewa Beach at the Laulani Village shopping center, at the City Mill side. During peak hours, the line will back up to the driveway leading up to City Mill from Keaunui Drive. It gets to be quite a cluster, when you have cars merging from two directions trying to get to the gas station. Sometimes, there will be an attendant that will guide the cars to the open pumps to help increase efficiency. One of the biggest peeves, is that the drivers/customers are very particular about which side of the pump to fill up from. This gas station has the long hoses (like Costco) so you can fill up on the other side of the car if your fuel door isn't on the side of the pump. Sometimes, because people don't go to the other pumps, the long line doesn't move as quickly as it could. The Safeway gas station is located in an area that's convenient for most of the residents who live on that side. Price of gas is one of the most competitive rates on the island - as long as you pay cash by going to the little store there, or if you use your debit card or Safeway gift card. The cash price for the gas is 10 cents cheaper than the rate you pay when you charge by card. It is comparable to what you would pay at Costco. It's just not worth it to drive 7 miles each way to save pennies/gallon. The pump is a little slower than Costco's, but works just fine. This gas station isn't open 24 hours, so don't go after 11pm! read more

Probably some of the best gas prices around especially if you pay with cash or debit card however the traffic flow into this gas station is a nightmare Safeway really needs to look at this it causes gridlock entering the shopping center parking lot and it times out to the main road there's also a ton of impatient people who try to go around the line. I walk to the shopping center at times and I've almost been hit by multiple cars in the cross walk around this gas station because of the impatient people it was a direct result from the bad traffic flow into the pumps. read more

I like coming to this gas station. I am always shopping at Safeway and the rewards adds up very quickly. Saving up to .20 per gallon is a deal. However, the only thing I don't like is when there are open pumps people wait for a pump to open that is convenient for them. People is a gas pump just go to any Pump the hose stretches over to the other end of your car. The line is long enough why are you holding it up? Have some respect and stop being lazy. The concept of the "one way only" with extra long hoses is FANTASTIC! However, Safeway really should have an attendant directing cars or at least green and red lights up top to show where open pumps are as it's very difficult to see from the line. People just sit there and it causes the fill-up to take Twice as long as it should and the line gets all the way into traffic. It's a mess even on a Tuesday at 10:15 in the morning. read more
