I've always been more of a pie girl than a cake girl, and after 11 years of being gluten-sensitive,…read moredessert has often felt like "whatever GF option is available" instead of what I'm actually craving. But at Piefection, I found the best of both worlds! My husband surprised me with a gluten-free banana cream pie for my birthday, and wow--it was absolute heaven! He stopped in a couple of days ahead to place the order and said the shop was clean, easy to find, and had such a welcoming feel. The gentleman who helped him was incredibly knowledgeable and even guided him to a non-GF option for everyone else. He recommended the key lime pie, and from what I hear, it was a total hit too! Cookies: Tres…read moreleches cake - A light, fluffy vanilla cake soaked in a classic tres leches sauce, topped with whipped cream, and sprinkled with a layer of cinnamon. For the uninitiated, it is wet on the bottom. The cinnamon flavor really pops out in the top, and it is really sweet. Very soft and sweet. Not your typical cookie. Very much a cake and not a cookie. Chocolate cake batter - A rich chocolate cake batter cookie swirled with fudge frosting and topped with chocolate cake batter cake balls and vibrant sprinkles. I microwaved it for ten seconds. I thought it tasted like it had a little cherry in it. I did not like the flavor very much. This is surprising because I love chocolate. Also surprising since there should be no cherry flavor in it. Wafer ft. KIT KAT® - A classic cookie filled with crunchy KIT KAT® pieces, topped with a pool of milk chocolate and more deliciously crushed KIT KAT® pieces. KIT KAT® product is produced by The Hershey Company under license from Société des Produits Nestle S.A. Vevey, Switzerland, Trademark Owners. I liked this one the best. The filling of the cookie was unique with the kit kat inside. I like Kit Kats. It was like a regular chocolate cookie but with crushed Kit kat pieces included. I microwaved it for ten seconds. I might need to microwave it for slightly longer like 15 seconds. My favorite is the Twix shortbread.

I love that Crumbl now offers minis for when I'm not looking to have the big full size cookies. I ordered six cookies, four were from that week's line up which included cookies & cream krispy bar, Biscoff cheesecake, lemon poppy seed cookie, and s'mores cookie. I also ordered the chocolate chip and the pink sugar cookie from the classics menu. They hit the spot per usual. I especially enjoyed the s'mores, chocolate chip, and pink sugar cookies. The mini sizes were perfect.

Disappointing experience overall. We have been looking forward to coming in for Soda Week all week,…read morebut left feeling frustrated and disappointed. We calendared tonight so we could come in as a family to use our coupon and get dessert. My kids have seriously been looking forward to it all week! We were firstly, very disappointed to find out that the free dirty sodas were not actually "One free 12oz drink per person," as advertised, but just one drink per app. That is misleading. False advertising really. Just leave it at "One free 12oz drink" or "One free 12oz drink per app" or "One free 12oz drink per voucher." Don't state "per person" if you don't mean that. I feel like they should have honored that. Especially considering the fact that we were also paying customers. Anyways, I wouldn't have left a review for that. It's a cookie shop after all. Plus the sodas are new and it's a lot more to manage and they're working out the kinks. The real kicker was that the cookies were not put in very attentively so one had the whole edge smashed off. (We have had this happen before at this location.) The chocolate chip cookie was way overdone. Dark, rock hard, cooked crispy like the thins. And the strawberry was totally spoiled! So gross! Just an all around bummer! This kind of experience does not keep people coming back. I imagine the next time we plan a treat outing we will choose to spend our time and money elsewhere.

We came at 4:30 and still had more than enough options to choose from. I happened to like frosting and it was fun to see adorable frosting cups although I didn't purchase one. We opted for the tuxedo, pins colada, cinnamon and s'mores cupcakes. The tuxedo was rich and balanced, with smooth chocolate with vanilla frosting that felt classic and satisfying. The Piña Colada was light and tropical, with coconut and pineapple adding a fresh, summery twist. The Cinnamon had a warm, cozy spice--simple, comforting, and perfect with my after dinner coffee. S'mores was sweet and nostalgic, capturing chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker in a fun way. Overall, a great mix of classic and playful. As I said I'm a frosting fan and the frosting was great an my favorite part.
