I thought the store was cute and had some good stuff. I found a nice pair of shoes and husband found a nice shirt. They had cute jewelry and handbags. Depending on what you're looking for, prices can be on the higher end. The lady working (I'm assuming it was the owner) did acknowledge us as we came in but when we went to purchase she said very little- kind of as if we were bothering her or something. Would I go back? We came in here on a whim while browsing downtown Calistoga. So cute! They have quite the assortment of stuff, though I think it's a bit lower end. Everything is nicely organized though and one woman was sooooo sad when holding a ceramic pink cat saying, "Oh I wish I had somewhere to put this at home!" From clothes to household items, you are bound to find something interesting. We almost bought, what I thought was a used Louis Vuitton, but the very honest owner (I think), told us it was a fake. I thought it was amazing that she was frank and explained what we should look for in the future. Awesome staff! read more

If I could give 0 stars..I would...the staff particularly the "owner" is extremely rude and doesn't greet customers. I work in retail here in Calistoga and shop local quite frequently but my family and friends will not shop here anymore because it's not a friendly shop. It's also overpriced for used, ripped, stained clothing. Goodwill provides a better environment, better quality clothing, and better prices. read more

Really love the variety and gems you can find here. Recently, I found a 1960s Danish-made mid century credenza with hutch. It is beautiful! I had to scoop it up, and now it lives in my dining area. Never mind the name of this place which is vaguely questionable in an offbeat amusing sorta way ... my husband dropped me off with only ten minutes to go before closing. I wasn't sure whether I would have enough time nor how I'd be greeted by the shopkeeper, given sometimes right before closing, owners are itching to go home and you can sense it whenever you walk in before closing. This definitely did not happen at this place, which I was oddly grateful for. It's an adorable eclectic little place, compact and stuffed with all manners of things for both men and women, way more for the latter. At the front of the store are purses for only $5 each and a variety of high end cowboy boots, though none were in my size. Several racks of clothing and costume jewelry. I scored a Woolrich lumberjack plaid forest green vest in all wool, a scotch plaid waistcoat, as the Brits say. It's a total vintage find, which they just don't make anymore. And so freakin tricky to style: no mom jeans here, but something funky, e.g with a floral maxi dress or sweatshirt. The shopkeeper was easy and laid back, a terrific vibe in here--what an awesome experience! I'd love to find out the origin of the name--and this, btw., is how the pandemic and wearing masks is changing human interaction, because knowing my extraverted nosy nature, I know hands down for a fact that I would've ordinarily asked the woman how "Sugar Daddy's" came to be, the history and the lore behind it. But with a mask covering my face, and her face, and the crushing blow of myt being hearing impaired and having difficulty hearing ... all this adds up to my not asking about the /sugar Daddy name. Love this place! I find something here each time i visit Calistoga. Last time it was a cute skeleton key necklace. This time I found a great Talbots sweater for $15! Great selection of jewelry, shoes, mens clothing, and barware. The inventory is different every time, so if you fall in love with something buy it when you see it! I prefer to support small businesses when i have the opportunity- and love this one in particular. The lady (sorry i didnt get your name!) working there was very nice. She was helping multiple customers simultaneously so you have to be patient. The great finds at fair prices are worth the wait! Besides, who is in a rush in Calistoga? There are few businesses I would drive extra miles to visit, but Sugar Daddy's worth it. Each time I go, averaging every eight months or so, I find at least six items of clothing that are my instant favorites. The prices, cleanliness and quality are excellent. read more

Every time I am in Calistoga I make it a point to shop at Sugardaddy's. This store has a very eclectic artistic vision for both home accents and clothing. I could spend hours there. They are very nice people and it is just a fun all around experience shopping there. It's one of those "you'll never know what you'll find" places in the best possible way. read more

We always stop in here on our visits to Calistoga, one of the main attractions!! We come up to the hot springs 4-6 times a year and have found some real treasures. We never leave empty handed. Great for ourselves and for gifts. I would highly recommend a visit and a browse! read more

The employee is very rude and quick to get rid of customers. She could care less about my being in the store. I love consignment shops, but this one carries low end items throughout that look no different from what you could find in a Goodwill with the exception of one or two items that are somewhat high-end to draw people in. Yet prices are not that low? Each time I went in I'd be disappointed in the items so I thought I was there on a bad day and kept trying. I've been in there roughly five times now, and the quality of the service and the items have been very disappointing each time. Will not go in again. read more

This is a place one must visit...if not visit to buy. Everything is in great condition and one can find many many bargains. Personally, I think the best buy is the Andee, the owner. As part of my weekend getaway, I shopped at Sugar Daddy's. I found their selection of clothing, small furniture and housewares to be fairly priced and interesting. They were having a sale which made it all the more appealing. While I was purchasing a Coach bag, the sales person was very friendly and described the advantages of owning a Coach brand purse. I was enjoying the conversation when, in my haste (perhaps with some shopping endorphins thrown in), I brushed some small yet breakable items off the cash register counter. This occurred as I was retrieving my very large shopping bag from the counter's surface. Sadly, there was some breakage. The sales person was gracious though I could tell she was attempting to maintain her composure. She is truly a remarkable person in that she maintained an appropriate customer service demeanor in a very awkward situation. I will return to Sugar Daddy's when I visit Calistoga in the future for the housewares, the $5 rack and the lovely ambiance. It's a pleasure to shop there and is a pleasant alternative to the over-priced galleries and boutiques (with so much "eye candy") that abound in the Napa valley. read more
