I was overcharged by 25.00 when I brought in a few items for alterations. After leaving, I checked the ticket, I was charged for 5 items not 4. I took my $750.00 dress to Sue's, after a month and 4 visits my dress is butchered. The dress is a lace material. She cut flowers off of the sleeves leaving the hem line with large gaps. She sewed the sleeves on by hand so poorly I can put my fingers through the seam. She took the dress in on the sides also done by hand, and after trying it on the seams are all ripped open. When is asked her why she cut flowers off of the sleeves, she just kept saying , no one will notice. The shop was very dirty and disorganized. I never write reviews but I would strongly say not to take your alterations to Sue's Creations. read more

This review is long overdue. Sue is fantastic!! She is so very sweet and a wonderful seamstress! Honestly, she' works magic and in such a timely manner! She altered my wedding dress a few years ago which was no easy task - among multiple layers, it involved a very intricate lace that she was able to, cut, shorten, realign, and sow back together. I never could find where it was realigned! I had other business tell me the lace would have to be replaced at the waste, but Sue was able to work her magic. She also added a few invisible holders so I could actually walk with the train up. I'm in an wedding this fall and can't wait to see Sue again to help me with my bridesmaid dress! read more

Sue did a wonderful job altering a Lilly Pulitzer dress for me for formal! I had to have it taken in from a 4 to a 00, as well as shorten it considerably. The results are extremely professional, and if it weren't for the tag, you would never be able to tell that the dress was any other size than it is now. My boyfriend and I both take our alterations to Sue, as she always does a great job, in a relatively prompt time frame. The only reason why I took off one star, was that it was a bit pricey. It cost about $64 to take in and hem the dress, which is a lot (at least on a college budget)! Nevertheless, I will still be returning, as I do believe it was worth the cost! read more

I brought in two Banana Republic tops which I really needed in a petite size but I bought them in regular size. She altered them perfectly! One needed the straps shortened. The other needed the hem to be shortened and taken in. I would definitely bring things here again! read more

I had two weeks to take up the sleeves for my dress I was to wear to my daughters wedding. I took the dress to the seamstress who did my daughters wedding dress. My alterations were very simple yet she said she couldn't get it done in time. This is after we spent over $400 in alterations for my daughters dress. In a panic I called Ms. Sue's. She said it would be no problem and to bring the dress in. Once we got over the language barrier the work was done perfectly, quickly and even better very inexpensively. Sue gave away my bridesmaids dress to another customer, despite that individual not having the ticket to claim the dress. She lacks organization of her store / orders and has very poor customer service skills. I requested a refund for ordering the replacement dress, expedited shipping, and an expedited alternation at another tailor. She only reimbursed me for the replacement dress, bearing expense for me and additional stress weeks before my sisters wedding. If I could give Sue's Creations a negative number I would. The place where I use to go is under new management and isn't the same quality so I decided to try a new place. I wasn't blessed with height. I stand about 5'7" (on a good day) with short legs so every time I buy a new pair of jeans they need to be hemmed. My request was simple. Hem my jeans and use the original edge. So they folded them and sewed them together. Not only is this a half ass attempt to alter a pair of jeans but when I got home I noticed the stitches were coming out. Shame on me for not checking when I was there but this was NOT a complicated job!!!! read more

Super fast and well done alterations. I went here to get my suit for my wedding tailored. She did a fitting in like 20 minutes which was great because I went over during work. There were a lot of changes I wanted, and she got it done in one week. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality and speed. I went to Sue's creations to get my wedding dress altered after the most "recommended" alterations place in Cincinnati could not get me in a full two months before my wedding date. Sue did a fantastic job taking in my dress in multiple areas for a decent price. I actually went back another time a week before my wedding as I had lost weight and needed the dress taken in more. My wedding dress was more than a simple hemming job. There were ruffles, straps, a bustle , crinoline, and FOUR layers of undershirt. Not only did Sue make it prettier than when I bought it, she addressed every concern with quick, clean, and fabulous professionalism. She even hand sewed small appliqués to adjust the ruffles. Until she pointed it out, I couldn't tell the difference. On top of all of her talent, she is an incredible sweet warm person. Mrs. Sue is a very skilled and professional seamstress you can rely on and trust. Only a month before my wedding day, I realized that my first seamstress, Mary of Sew Much on Reading destroyed my dress (she cut the lace on my dress in two locations and did not tell me about it or repair it. Fitting was not good either). I was devastated as you can imagine. I went to Sue's Creations to see if the dress can be fixed. Mrs. Sue was very professional and understood my concern very clearly. Merely in a couple of days, Mrs. Sue called me to let me know that my dress was repaired and the fitting was corrected. When I went to pick up my dress, I was for the first time able to truly say that I loved my dress. Her skills, customer care, professionalism, and compassion were excellent. She saved the bride. Sue is a miracle worker. Seriously. I bought a bridesmaid dress for a wedding over the phone. The dress arrived and was too small. As in, barely zips up small. There also was minimal extra fabric in the dress for it to be taken out. I'm still not sure how Sue did it, but in a week (a week!) she transformed my dress from too tight and unflattering to perfection. Not only did she do a phenomenal job in a short amount of time, Sue is the most reasonably priced tailor I have ever met. Hemming itself can cost a bundle at a bridal store, but all the work Sue did for me came in at well under $100. read more

My pants are hemmed by Sue's Creations through Limited at Kenwood. I have only had one issue out of about 20 pairs of pants, and that was an easy fix. So, I took two dresses and one top in to be altered to Sue. The two dress's hemlines were taken up; both bowed outward and one had a hole put in it! The one that had a hole put in it also had two additional holes, the result of poor sewing. My top had two holes in it, not near any seams; I have NO clue how you could do that! Sue profusely apologized and repaired the two items. However, my shirt had to be deconstructed to cover the holes, and the dress hemmed over an inch shorter than it should have been. Sue promised the shirt for free, yet only gave 10% off. I argued til I got the shirt for free and left no tip. I will not be back and suggest that unless you want to purchase new clothes or wear yours looking different that you expected, you do the same. read more
