My dog decided to go on a hunger strike while we were gone, and the staff texted me asking me if there was anything they could add to his food or any other options like pumpkin or yogurt they could give him to make sure he ate. When he continued to refuse food but was otherwise doing okay, they let a friend of mine stop by and visit him and bring chicken for them to add to his food. The chicken was a success. They kept in touch by text the whole time, and this gave me peace of mind while I was 2k miles away. Also, when my flight was delayed 7 hours, they accomodated him for an additional night I hadn't booked. I have boarded at other places and I haven't had any other place pay this close attention to my dog and how he was doing. (And now I know when I board him to send chicken! :) )

I found this place on yelp and decided to bring her by. My immediate impression when I pulled up was "turn around don't stop!" Why is that you ask? Because the outside looked abandoned with overgrown landscape. It didn't feel inviting, clean like a place I would want anything to do with. I contemplated leaving so I read reviews before making decision. Seems lots of people are appalled by the looks. Well I gave it a try. I walked in talked with staff and left her for the day. I don't have anything negative, the staff I interacted with seemed friendly. I wasn't given a tour of the place which is new to me as most places have given me a tour so I snot know what goes on behind the scenes but if it's anything like the front maybe that's why. However what I can see from cameras it's not so bad. Overall I will bring again but I recommend doing something with the front. Curb appeal is a thing if you aren't aware.

My daughter scheduled to have her kitten boarded at the Argyle location. She spoke with a man…read moreseveral times and followed all the directions she was given as far as sending vet records and getting supplies. When we arrived to drop off the kitten, we were given completely different information from the woman working at the front desk. She said the VetCo had not sent records, that she had emailed my daughter, and because the kitten hadn't had her booster shots she couldn't stay. None of what the employee said was true. She had not emailed my daughter, and she had received the complete vet record because my daughter had emailed it herself. The employee claimed that she is the only person who answers the phone, but my daughter never spoke to a woman, only to a man. The employee also refused to tell us her name and wouldn't listen to us. Even before she decided my daughter's kitten couldn't stay she was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The employee cancelled the boarding appointment while we were still in the parking lot, which is the only email she ever sent. My husband then spoke with her to ensure that they would not keep the deposit nor charge for the cancelled stay. Now we are faced with driving 13 hours out of state holding a kitten in a carrier, tryIng to figure out how to handle litter and food. Please be assured that we will never attempt to use an American Pet Spa again, and we will let all of our friends with pets know how their employee treated us.
