Suds is a laundromat, but this is not your grandma's laundromat. The laundromat your grandma would…read morehave went to was dull, dirty, poorly lit, broken machines, no attendant, boring, and always had some funky smell. No, this is definitely not that kind of place. For starters, there is always a friendly, helpful attendant there to assist you, in case you have questions or issues. The only issues I've ever seen, in my many visits, were mild ones like from those who weren't certain how to work a machine. All the washers at Suds are front loaders with all the detergents, bleach, and softener poured in from the top. They have small ones which start at $2 and large ones for, say, blankets and comforters starting at $4. Don't have change? No problem, there is a change machine on the wall, and not just for changing singles into quarters, but they also have a machine that changes a bill as high as $20 into smaller bills and singles so you never have to stop what you're doing and make a run across the street to the gas station and buy gum just to have change. Who hasn't ever had to do that? No need to be bored while you're there. They have a couple of arcade games, free wi-fi, and two flat screens which are not, I repeat, NOT playing news or sports! That's what Chili's is for, and if you read my review of that place, well... Oh, and they have a vending machine in case you want just a quick snack to tide you over. If that weren't enough, they've also got a car wash next door, so while you wash your clothes, you can wash your car all at the same time! Did I mention there is a gas station across the street (yes, I did), so after you wash your car, or before (not judging), you could also fuel up your car. Multi-tasking rules! Need to use the restroom? No need to run up to Wal-Mart, which is just up the street, by the way. Suds has a clean restroom, too. They also have plenty of carts for your clothes to move them from the washer to the dryer to the folding tables. I have to say Suds is my best laundromat experience. I really wish the other laundromats would transition into the 3rd millennium.

This was a clean place to do your laundry. Parking lot seemed sketch, as there was broken window…read morepieces all over. But it was a good experience big washers. I was in and out. Wednesdays they have deals on prices I think too.

You can't please everyone but if you can please 9 out of 10 you are doing great. First and foremost…read morethe owner is the shop and she is in her shop almost everyday even staying late sometimes, after the store closes, to finish work for people. worried about the price? well who goes to get something done without asking the price first. Anyways. So I was in a pickle and had to get 5 USAF BHG uniforms done for a parade within like 3 days. These uniforms used to take the alterations shop on base about 2 weeks to do from scratch. I sent the specs over to Chrissy along with one of my older uniforms and with a few looks she had it. she knocked out five fully dressed USAF BHG uniforms from nothing to something in 3 days. that include hems, tapers, sew in creases, piping , ranks, waists. no easy task when you virtually have to take the pants apart to do it and then sew them back together again. the prices are more than fair especially if you look at the alternatives on base. she is a master of the trade. Need custom pillows made?she can do it ( I walked in and saw her doing it), need drapes? she can handle that too? need a dress done? bring it in. BY THE WAY-- Name tapes can be done here! why pay the Exchange and have to wait weeks when she can have them done for less and in no time flat. Name tape machine on site! To be a one person shop and provide the service that she does and in the timely manner that she does it makes this shop pretty dang good!

THEIR "REPAIR" RUINED MY SOFA UPHOLSTERY! DON'T GO HERE!…read more The upholstery on my sofa detaches and is machine washable. I tore it while putting it back on. I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. The sofa was custom made in Japan and is a one of a kind piece. Pics of the tear and what they did to it. The pics of the denim repair is an example of what I asked them to do.

Overpriced and very rude…read more The place seemed professional at first, but my experience was not good. I called ahead and misunderstood the price. I thought it would be about $40 to clean two suits, which sounded reasonable. When I arrived and dropped them off, the total came out to $80 for two standard two piece suits. I told the employee that seemed high. She said she would give me a $10 discount per suit, but the total still came out to $70. I stepped outside for about three minutes and called another dry cleaner down the street to check their price. They quoted me $12 per suit. Because of that, I went back inside with my ticket and said I would just take my suits somewhere else. At that point the employee became very rude. She asked where I was taking them. When I told her I had called another place, she said "Fabricare" and started saying they ruin suits and that many of their customers come from there after their clothes get damaged. The tone was very disrespectful. They also charged me a $10 fee even though the suits had only been there a few minutes. I understand that businesses sometimes have a fee policy, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily hostile. I also noticed prices for other customers that were extremely high. Some army dress uniforms were being charged in the hundreds of dollars. For comparison, I ended up taking my suits to Fabric Care and they did a great job for $12 per suit. Based on the pricing and the way I was treated, I would not return.
