Called two months ago to cancel TV and phone and upgrade internet. After I was finally transferred back to the United States (about 45 minutes of being bumped around India) the lady understood what I wanted and said that the changes would take effect immediately. One month later, the bill shows that I am being charged for two separate internet connections and also for TV and phone. I call and explain and the lady in India asks if I have two buildings and that is why I have two internet connections. I explain that it is a two-bedroom home and that I clearly asked for the TV and phone to be disconnected. She responds that she will have to escalate the issue and they will call me on the next business day. The first call took over an hour and the second one took twenty-six minutes. They have a monopoly over internet at Lake Tanglewood but NO ONE should choose these horrible jerks if you have a choice. ... Addendum. Suddenlink may be the worst private sector customer experience out there. As this is written we are days into a move, but still without any TV service. This despite scheduling everything for our move through the sales team. But they use outside tech people, who appear to be rank beginners. ADVICE: if you are a Suddenlink customer and plan to move, that is the day to cut your cord! Don't temp fate and think your Suddenlink move will work out timely, if at all. About 2 weeks ago my husband called to complain about not being able to watch the football on Fox. He was told by one of the customer Representatives that the cable company picks and choose who gets to watch the Fox football. Apparently we are not one of their VSP customer so every time the football comes on Fox we're not allowed to watch it. We will be changing soon. What's funny about the whole thing is it Fox channel will be playing this day until the football comes on then it will mess up and it will go off. When we call all we get is a run around doesn't get fixed until after the football games are over then that channel will go back to normal. read more

Changes service from Suddenlink to satellite cable provider for better deal on data service and cellphone. After paying our bill on time for years, we canceled the service and they were friendly, but they asked us to turn in the hardware at the location several blocks from our house. They were closed and they had an equipment drop off bin. I put the equipment in the onsite bin. Three weeks later after multiple calls of Suddenlink trying to get us back as customers, a computer calls about an important call to call back . I called twice and got stuck into a voice mail loop and hung up. The next step they send us to collections for not paying for our equipment. How poor is their tracking that they have so many customers leaving that they have a huge bin for drop off but never record the number of items dropped off. Thank you suddenlink for taking all our money then wanting more to leave. read more

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with - their "up to" packages are garbage... 1 gig internet will get you about 5-700 tops. That's coming from someone who works nights and is up most certainly during non-rush hours -- and still don't come close to the speeds I'm paying for or they advertise. The solution of downgrading speeds won't help either... because you won't get that "up to" advertised speed either. They tried to tell me it was the modem/WiFi router combo that they provide... I spent over $300 on a top of the line Netgear modem an router... living in a community with brand new fiber lines and still won't come close. I will say it's never been down completely - but being ripped off doesn't make up for it. read more

Horrible customer service!!!! I ordered a boxing match fight they double charged me for it. Then refused to take the charge off. Had phone service with them for many years no problem added cable my phone stopped working!!!!! I had to pay for no service the whole time. Voice record everything they tell you and get names!!!! Your customer service is completely cap I cant get through to anybody any option I shoose it says some cap through the automated system amd hangs up on me. It doesnt matter if i have a problem, a question or trying to pay my bill I cant get your automated system to do anything. I cant stand your service and I have gone from paying under $200 for a phone/tv/internet bundle to over $200 in under a year. Wow. Easily the worst business I've ever dealt with. I saw one of their ads in the mail. I called and ordered Internet and TV. The lady charged me $82.49. The tech was a no-show for the 1st appointment. Second appointment, another no-show. The third time they did come out (my 3rd day of missing work) and informed me they don't service my area. (I lived by River Road High School then). The lady on the phone never told me I couldn't get service when I signed up, she just took my money. The only time you can call and get through is when you're getting service for the first time. After that, good luck. I'm sitting on hold as I type this. I called last week, and someone told me the refund will take 24hrs. A week later I keep calling, when I am able to get someone, they say "your refund will take 24hrs". Or when I reach someone from the Sales dept, they greet you, then hang up in your face. I'm on an office land line, this is no accident. All because someone lied about me being able to get service where I lived. Many of the people on the phone are rude and unapologetic when the company makes mistakes. Or they act like it's your fault and angry you had the audacity to try to get a problem resolved. I get the impression they are short staffed and not treated well by corporate, so the "I'm not getting paid enough to give a damn" attitude surfaces. They are subjects of a lousy, greedy, cheap employer. But I'm going to try my luck with Plains Internet. I hope Suddenlink gets sued for fraud and false advertising. read more

suddenlink is a misleading company with horrible unethical business practices. I'm paying for a 1 gig connection in Amarillo but have never achieved higher than 800mb. A technician involved in upgrading the infrastructure in Amarillo to actually achieve 1 gig said they won't even have the capability to get 1gig for another 6 months and no where in Amarillo currently has a full gig connection. Not to mention lately I only get 12-20 mb, technician came out and did all the things I already did, took 3 hours, then said they'd have to reschedule to another date to find the problem. I called to complain saying I don't want to pay for internet for as long as its not working, and suddenlink supervisor Joy C. says they will not stop billing me while my internet isn't working (when the rep told me just before they would) and MAYBE I can get a refund if the problem ends up being on their end. I had to pay $65 bucks to get a tech out to fix the service I'm PAYING FOR and he didn't even fix it and I still have to pay for non working internet. Not to mention supervisor Joy lied to me and told me there is 1 gig capabilities in Amarillo when I know there isn't. Suddenlink is false advertising a 1gig connection when they don't even have the capability. And they get away with it by saying "up to " 1 gig. This company is a sham and takes advantage of their monopoly in small towns. I'm going to post this everywhere I can until my bill is cut by 20% for only getting 80% of the internet I'm paying for. And I want to be reimbursed for the time that my internet hasn't been working at all. Worst customer service and worst business practices. The only good guys at suddenlink are the hard working technicians who came out and honestly told me Amarillo isn't even capable of 1 gig. I can't believe the supervisor insisted and lied about the connection capabilities. There's a reason they get all 1 star reviews. This relationship with Suddenlink has been the most abusive consumer product relationship I have ever tried repeatedly to leave. I say repeatedly because after they keep you on the phone for 2 hours trying to prevent you from cancelling your service... they finally tell you they will. And then they DON'T CANCEL your service. No one can help you when you call, you are on hold for 15-30 mins at a time while they go to lunch or whatever. Same script, every time you call - "no one here who can help you." After fighting for over a month to get my internet service disconnected, they send me a bill for another month of service! Spent hours on the phone, much of that time on hold, same script... "no one here who can help you." This sorry excuse for a company is hemorrhaging customers, has a 1.6 rating on google, and has received over 5,000 complaints at the BBB in just the last 3 years. No one wonders at all why. read more

One of the best things I ever did was ditch this service. Our cable was consistently out. The internet was so slow, nothing would work if I was online doing homework. Customer service is God awful. I don't have a shadow of a doubt that they intentionally make it difficult. My husband had the account before we got married and I added myself to it. They let me make all kinds of account changes but when I went to cancel, suddenly I didn't have privileges to do so. This was after wasting about 35 minutes of my time trying to convince me not to cancel. Then when my husband called to cancel, they tried to get him to wake me up (Night shift nurse) to talk me out of it. They charged us almost $300 for a month of unreturned equipment and I am currently standing in line to return said equipment. I've been here 30 minutes with my small child and no seats because they are so packed. There are two reps working and some 25 customers waiting. Stay far away. We love our Amarillo Wireless and stream all our TV. It's more cost effective and you don't have to waste your time with poor service read more
