They gave me a quote to replace my 2019 VW Tiguan driver side mirror. Said they need to charge me almost $500 to calibrate the sensors. Got another quote from a body shop that said the mirror didn't need calibrating because the sensors are by my rear bumper, not the mirror. Ultimately choose to go with the another body shop and save myself $500. Always get multiple quotes !! read more

Seriously so disappointed. My manfriend took his car here after a minor accident, based upon location and good Yelp reviews. The work that needed to be done was minor body work on front bumper and back wheel (paint obvi) and some minor suspension. No big deal right? Well THREE AND A HALF months later we're still waiting on the body shop and the insurance to iron out the paperwork while they hold the car hostage. To make matters worse, sudden impact made so many unnecessary claims to the insurance and padded the bill so much that the insurance was only like $3000 away from totaling the car. And he drives an Audi SQ, so that's a ton of charges on some very minor work. AND on top of that they couldn't figure out the suspension issue so they had to take it to Audi dealership. We called and called and called, no one would call us back. Several people who answered the phone didn't know anything about it, but couldn't get us in touch with anyone who knew what was going on. For a job that should have been one month TOPS, looks like it's going to be four months with very little communication. Do yourself a favor Take your car somewhere else. read more

I am giving them 1 star because of how this whole situation ended. I will say they were great at communicating and texting me updates weekly, I thought my car was in great hands.... My car was hit in the front and seemed like minimal damage. They ended up having my car for about a month and ended up fixing 9k worth of it. When I went to pick it up they had told me that my battery was giving off indications it would die soon. I had told the office twice that we had just replaced it with a top tier battery about 2 weeks before this accident. The battery should not be dying within 2 months. I was told that once I start driving it around that it should charge and I should be fine. Not even 24 hours into having my car back, it wouldn't even turn on. The dash lights were going crazy, the RPM dial redlined and fluctuated, check engine light was on and it kept saying sensors were off and it wasn't it park (even though it was). I immediately called and explained what was happening and all I got in return was "your battery should still be in warranty" and basically told they couldn't help me. I was furious, I questioned her as to why I'm having battery problems even though that wasn't a problem when I drove it to them. In my diesel, the battery is under the passenger seat and not easily accessible. I am 5 months pregnant along with having my 1 1/2 year old with me and this Christian company basically said I was SOL. I asked what I was supposed to do with my husband usually working out of town and this was my only means of transportation and the lady said she would have the manager call me back. That was at 830am this morning and no phone call back. My car should have NEVER been returned to me until they figured out what was wrong. It's my assumption that the shop jumped it themselves because the jumper port cap was removed and not replaced when we had to jump the vehicle manually ourselves. Just to think that I could have been across town with my toddler running errands and my car could have given out at any time and this company doesn't have an ounce of regret for giving me my car back this way. It's crazy to me that after an accident I could drive the vehicle to the shop under its own power but a day after having the vehicle back I can't even leave my house. read more

Would get updates every week letting me know what was going on and what problems they had with the insurance of the guy who hit me. Once complete we had a light turn on on the dash, took it back to them. They said they would need to order another part, it would take a week. After this point all updates stoped I would have to call them every week to get an update. My car sat an entire week before I called to get an update. They told me my throttle body was out and needed to get replaced or they would not be able to finish due to my car being inoperable, they said they would provide a proposal for that. Went a week with no update. I called the following week for update. They gave me the same update they gave me the week before, at this point I'm upset and let them know this was old update. They told me that one of the staff was out sick so my car was just set to the side. Next week decided to just stop by. The part had been changed and my car was operable. They gave me no update if I hadn't gone I would've known nothing. Went the next day towards the end of the day. They said my car was ready they just needed the paper work done. If I hadn't stopped by they would have let my car stay the entire weekend without letting me know. My wife needs the car I've had a rental all this time. They don't care about the customer, they don't like to answer phones when you call. Not recommended read more

Our vehicle was taken to them after it was recommended through our insurance company. We had initially told them form the beginning that we just wanted an estimate and asked if we wanted to take it somewhere else after the estimate would we be able to? They said yes so once the estimate was done (4 days later) they said if we wanted to move the truck we would have to pay them almost $1500 just to take the truck to another shop even tho they knew from the beginning we would be just getting an estimate. So we had no choice but to leave it there. They had our truck for 3 months. During this time we finally got the truck back and the front end was still messed up. Bumper was crooked and not even straight. They said they replaced the hood than when we showed them it was the original hood they then changed their story to oh we just used bondo.(when ins authorized a new hood). Than brake lines were hanging under the truck, front tire still completely was hitting the front end when we made a turn,new grill was cracked with horrible paint spots. Also there was paint splatter on window that wasn't there prior. They also told us they had to replace the 5.0 emblems but when we got the truck we pointed out to them they were the original ones on the truck and he came back out and said oh your right we found the new ones and didn't have to change yours after all so they HANDED ME the emblems that they charged the insurance for. We had to take it back to them again because the tire was rubbing showed them how bad the front end wasn't lined up and tried to have them fix their mistakes. After the second time we got the truck back a few weeks later. We showed them that it was still not straight and grill was cracked. His response to me was well they go on so tight they will all crack. I said that's funny because it wasn't cracked before he told me well you show me someone that can put it on without cracking it. all he had to do was say your right let's get that fixed correctly. Instead he left it and didn't do anything about it. Than we noticed our drivers mirror was new when we asked him he said all ford trucks come with mirrors that auto dim I said that's cool but how come that mirror didn't do that prior. He said oh I'm sure it did I said no we drove to Texas in this truck and it never once did this before and yet only driver mirror is doing it. He proceeded to tell us they didn't touch that mirror yet we found a part that belongs inside the mirror in our truck proving they did break that mirror and didn't tell us. We had the truck back for about 3 weeks before we had to take it back again for tire rubbing and horrible vibration that we kept telling them. He tried telling us it was the tires or that's how all trucks are. I said well before the wreck it didn't have this vibration or alignment issues. He told me to take it to United Nissan where they said alignment was fine. We got fed up and said we will not take the truck back to them. Almost a year later we were driving home and several mechanical codes came on so we took it to an auto shop and in 45 minutes they ran a diagnostic and found out that the codes were from issues in front right end they were never fixed. The wheel bearings were bad from the wreck, they hub in tire and steering rack were bent from the impact of the accident. All these issues caused a very unsafe vibration on the truck. Something that should have been fixed the FIRST time they had our truck but no took almost a year later. It's now October and we still have to take it to another body shop to hopefully fix the front end correctly and make it straight so it's not unaligned and rubbing. During the time they had our truck they also sold to kaizen automotive and no one has bothered to help or contact me knowing I have sent several calls and emails to corporate. Worst company in my opinion. They don't care about the vehicles. They just get money from insurance companies and don't bother doing the work right. Funniest part is when they changed the right quarter panel they used bolts from other vehicles to put it back together. Didn't even use the correct size or color. We had red black Grey big and small when our truck and original bolts are white. Worst customer service and worst body shop. We are taking things further with dmv with filing complaints and the district attorney. This needs to be stopped so one else can have this happen to them... below are just a couple pictures of how unaligned the front end was after they supposedly FIXED everything. worst experience we have ever had with a company especially a body shop. insurance companies for work that was never done Worst part is the damage from the hub and steering rack being bent could have caused us to crash or have other issues. read more

The tow company Ewing f@gs towed my truck after I was involved in a fatal accident, stole tools from my truck, then after I reported tools missing they went back and broke my rear passenger rim using there tow truck rear wheel lift boom. You can see the scratches on the other rear wheel and a deep dent in the rear diff cover.. It would of been impossible for myself to have Ewing admit to the damaging of my truck or admitting the tow driver a 7' tall inbreed white dude is a thief with what looked to be 2 rows of teeth.. Chantal at Sudden went to bat for me. She was able to get them to buy me a new rim.. She didn't have to do that. It wasn't really even there problem. But she did and I am grateful. When my car was returned my driver side sun visor had been ripped out (and never replaced), the driver side mirror was replaced with one that didn't include Blind Spot Monitoring (never replaced); and now when I am personally replacing the drivers side mirror with the correct model, I find that the mirror was epoxied to the mounting area rather than tightened properly. I am give me this body shop a 1 start review because from the beginning, they said they were going to have my truck ready by Friday because it was a small dent. Ended up taking them two weeks to get my truck back. Because they said the had to change some panels on the door(it was a small dent) because they have to paint to whole door. That was totally a lie, they left a whole scratch on the door. When I went to pick up my truck they mess up something with the electric running boards. I talk to Chantel! The worst manager!! She said to bring it back if the power steps didn't go up. I went back to the body shops after 2 days, the steps still won't go up. She said that her mechanic went on vacation for 1 week to come back in 1 week. I went back to the body shop after one week I dropped off the truck and she said that her mechanic called out at this point I had it with this place never coming back ever again. Let me start off by saying that the actual work done to our vehicle was fantastic, I will absolutely give credit where credit is due there. I have no complaints about the actual body work. They also fixed some scratches that we didn't think they would be able to fix, so I'm thankful to them for that. However, everything else has been not so great. 1) We picked up our 2018 Atlas two days ago and yesterday morning we discovered we have a giant BOLT in our tire. 2) We also have 4 scratches in our passenger side door that we showed the owner before leaving, which he said they would buff out or do touch up paint on. We got rear ended so this is not something that was from the car accident. 3) I open up my glove box and it smells like something DIED in there and I find an empty pork and cheese snack pack!? My family is vegan so this was NOT from us. 4) They also gave it back to us with "0 miles" of gas and I barely made it to the gas station with my 3 children in the car. Could you at least leave me with an 1/8th of a tank or something since I dropped it off to you with gas in it? Even if they charged me for having to put gas in it, that beats running out of gas while my kids are in the car. 5) We had a chrome bumper protector when we dropped our car off, and there was no chrome bumper protector when we picked our car up. Again, we had to speak to the owner who told us he would order it and we can come back in 3 days to have them put it on. I appreciate them trying to make this right, but it's still a little annoying to have to ask for my vehicle to include the same parts I dropped it off with. I thought that was part of the deal? All in all, I'm thankful that the actual body work done to my vehicle was done very well. They also did a wonderful job detailing the car (aside from leaving empty food wrappers in my glove box). read more

Don't be fooled by the Sudden Impact Signage. This business is a Kaizen Collision Center, not the small locally owned business it used to be. Be prepared to be treated as such. Your car just another job. Communication was great and I have no complaint as to how I personally was treated. My Truck however was a total loss and had no reflection on the shop or the estimator. The estimator did her job and looked out for me as to having a safe and properly repaired vehicle. I just was mislead by the proprietor not informing me that they were under new ownership. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. Everything was fine the first few weeks they had my car and then it switched. After looking at all their reviews and all of them are bad this year it's not only me who had a horrible experience. I had to keep calling to get updates and was told one thing from someone else and another from the next person. It seemed like no one was on the same page about my vehicle. I was told my vehicle would be ready the end of june and kept calling to check on updates since they never called to update me. I would call when they said I could pick it up and was told they had to order more parts and it would be ready next week. That went on for 3 weeks. I finally got my car back and was told everything is done, it was a sloppy job done. Driving on the freeway and my inner fenders came off, there were screws missing, my back passenger window wasn't done right, my headlight wasn't put on right either, and my front fender was sticking out. I have no idea how someone can miss this when they do their "quality check" before you pick your car up. I called to report the issues and asked to speak with the manager Chantal. She told me to bring the car down and they would take a look. When I brought my vehicle in she didn't write anything down when I was telling her what they did wrong to my vehicle. She said they will order the parts and it would take a few hours for them to complete it. That was total BS. I dropped my vehicle off Thursday afternoon and the lady that walked out with me asked what all needs to be fixed. I stated I was just here with the manager and went over all of this, this should have been written down when I explained what they did wrong. Chantel came out and I asked is the back window and the screw missing for the washer fluid and the weather strip on the back window she had no idea what I was talking about. I felt like I had to babysit this "business" and explain multiple times what they screwed up on my vehicle. I called that following monday because they said it would be ready on Monday but I didn't hear from them as usual and was told to call back again tomorrow around 2. Why am I having to call??? As a business they should be the ones reaching out to their costumers to give updates. I call again Tuesday and am told my vehicle will be ready at 4. The manager calls me at 330, 30 minutes before I'm picking my vehicle up that they have the wrong headlight and it wont be ready till tomorrow. They didn't check for the correct parts that they didn't do correctly the first time and call me 30 minutes before i'm supposed to pick my vehicle up. I pick my car up Wednesday afternoon and the lady I dealt with was completely rude when I pointed out scratches on my headlight. They never offered me a rental car for the days they had my vehicle that was supposed to only take a few hours. I would never recommend this place. Save your time and money. read more

So, we had to get it towed to another shop with great reviews that said they would look at it that day. Sounds like these guys might do great work, but who can wait that long for their car to be inspected? Hell, our rental car coverage would be over by the time they even looked at our car. As a woman, taking my car to an auto shop of any kind is always dreaded. It has been my experience, that's the stereotypes are more often than not true; women get taken advantage of. Unfortunately I left here with that very sentiment. After "finishing" my vehicle and getting a significant sum from my insurance and myself with the deductible, after not having my vehicle for more than 3 weeks, when I pick up my car it still had obvious issues. Issues I definitely wouldn't expect to have made it past the "quality control process" they supposedly do which caused further delay to me having access to my vehicle. I had to return for them to fix what should have been done the first time, the mechanic tells me he doesn't THINK the issue I had occurred from the accident, which it did, I didn't ask for his opinion number one but he said he would attach the piece that was still hanging under the car. Uhm after receiving THOUSANDS of dollars I must say ITS THE LEAST YOU SHOULD BE DOING!. A week later the piece is hanging AGAIN and I take it to a different shop they lift it and show me SUDDEN IMPACT glued and zip tied pieces under my car to the brake cables causing tunnel lock. So now I'm having another shop fix it. Do not recommend them nor will I ever bring my car back here. read more

Not long ago, I noticed VERY LARGE black scrapes around the wheel well of my left rear tire. Obviously, some careless jerk who was driving a black vehicle with large tires (probably a truck) swiped my car while pulling in or out of a parking space. I was mad as sin and fretted about how unsightly this damage was to my otherwise spotless car, and feared it would diminish its value. I just wanted it fixed. Contemplating having to submit an insurance claim and pay a deductible, I decided to FIRST have a body shop employee "inspect" the damage and give me their advice on how I might repair it on a DIY basis. So, having heard good things about Sudden Impact Auto Body, I drove in and met Bill. He pointed out a few other damage issues on my car, then asked if I would allow him to help me. Curiously, I asked "Okay, how much?" and he kept throwing around the "F" word. **FREE!** Bill led me to the company office where he offered a bottled water. I chatted with the friendly staff and petted their adorable dog "Axe." Meanwhile, Bill spent about 20 minutes working his magic. Soon after, he presented me with a seemingly "showroom-new" looking car! I couldn't believe it! No scratches, no horrific large paint scrapes were anywhere! Enjoying my surprise and appreciation, Bill handed me my keys, smiled, shook my hand and wished me a good day! As I drove out toward home, all I could think of were: 1) yes, there ARE decent people in the World, and 2) Sudden Impact Auto Body & Collision now has me as a "customer for life." Maybe could've gotten my car back a little faster if I followed up a little more proactively, especially when the car was at the dealer for calibration.
