Dropped by earlier today. Got a private tour of the greenhouse by Pedro on his bday! So lovely to meet Joelibeth Portillo and her team. She and her team took very good care of me and went above and beyond. I got all the Hoyas (16 exactly). They have soo many variety of plants especially Hoyas that you most likely will not see at a plant store unless they're smaller or you buy directly from a greenhouse. Most of her plants are BIG and at great prices. Take your time and visit the greenhouse in the back. Consider dropping in when it's not too busy so you get even more attention. Cannot recommend enough. Best plant store/nursery I've never visited. So happy they ship! read more

Love coming here. There's so much to choose from. Lots of rare plants. From all different price ranges! It's a small business, so definitely better than buying plants from big box stores. The owner is knowledgeable and will answer any questions. If you follow them on social media, occasionally there are promotions posted. I went to this shop a second time... and I am so glad I did. I was traveling from TX and most of the plants are ones impossible to find in TX. This shop is stocked full of everything you would ever want plant wise if you're a collector or just love plants in general! I was so happy to get my frydek but wanted to go again after our vacation to snag another but ended up with 3 more! I saw a beautiful Brandi that I wanted but with the limited space in my car I wouldn't be able to bring it with me. Thankfully the shop owner let me get a few clippings from it!!! It's ok. It has nice plants. Most stuff in there has a code or nothing in the container so you have to constantly ask what the price of things are. After a certain point it gets too frustrating to keep asking. Went in for my third trip in the last 6 months and the selection was way down as the back room was getting redone. Propagating tubes were removed as well. The store doesn't live up to the hype their social media page tries to exude. I don't see myself going back there again. read more

I was in town so I stopped by and purchase two plants. One was in good condition but when I went to repot my second one all the roots including the stem that was in the old sphagnum moss was all rooted. There's still a few good roots so I am hoping it will survive. Service was okay. Workers didn't seem friendly. read more

Beautiful store with the largest selection of both rare and easy to find plants that I have ever seen in one place. With that said..... .......Ouch! Those prices are out of control! I am well aware of the cost of rare plants and these are way over market price. WAY over. You will see plants for $2000. (Yes three 0's). For a Young, Three leave Thai or Albo Monsteras will run you in the $500-600 range. I was really excited about this place but I have gone to the Heavy and Appenberrys nearby and their prices are much more afforable. (No they don't have the rare plants, but even their easy to find plants are much cheaper than this place) The reason why those HTF plants have outrageous prices is because people continue to pay for them. I will happily support a business that offers fair prices. But this place is just toooo muchooooo... If you would like to shop her, I suggest getting a 2nd or 3rd job or don't pay your mortgage for a few months. read more

Walking into the second room from the main area was magically seeing how many plants these guys had! It's run by two sweet ladies who are happy to help with everything:) I ended up picking up one of my dream plants, a Gloriosum. I don't understand why this place hasn't gotten better reviews. I've been meaning to stop there for a while now and today I was in the area I went to check it out. The 1st thing I noticed was 6" pots of Hoya Hindu rope. Only $15 for a full pot. I picked out a nice full pot. I walked through the entire store and I was impressed. I also picked up a huge overflowing pot of monstera adansonii for $35. Gorgeous full plant. I understand that some people in other reviews said that plants were expensive or overpriced, but if you're looking at rare plants they are going to be expensive. I actually looked up some of the items and they were about or less than what people were asking for them online. Even the rare plants were at market value or better. Plus you don't have to have them shipped you can just pick it up today and don't have to worry about your expensive plant arriving dead. It's also much more affordable than another plant shop that's closer to my house down on Orange Avenue. I won't even go in there anymore because it's ridiculous what you get for what she's charging. I enjoyed shopping in the store and I will soon be bringing my mother up there to shop with me. Maybe I can save up enough money to buy one of those beautiful variegated monstera. read more

Super happy with our purchases today. We randomly found this shop on google and it exceeded our expectations. The shop closed early due to heavy rain. We called the owner to ask her if she can come back because we are not from Orlando. She happily drove back and showed us around the shop with enthusiasm and friendliness. I want you guys to be aware of.. I ordered this Epipremnum from them, Joelibeth was first nice to accomodate my order since the one I wanted got sold. So she sold this to me $605 with shipping. I paid Sept 19th and my plant was shipped sept 27, 1 week after I paid which I was surprised took a week long to ship so I ask then she said its being shipped nextday and said "Plant not ready still drying" so okay.. then it arrived october 1st. Everything was limpy.. so i left it alone, did not repot or whatever. It arrived with some yellow leaves already so I thought its just shipping stress. But each day I was wondering why majority of the leaves are turning yellow. So i contacted her asking for advice. She said put in a different spot and cut yellow leaves as itll push out soon. So okay. Then as days went by, I kept cutting leaf after leaf! Which I reached out again, she offered me $300 refund, okay.. but today the last remaining leaves are turning yellow too! (Havent watered still since its still moist!) After asking some advise from other plant groups, I went to check the roots. OH MY GOODNESS! Most roots fell out! Rot on the stem rot on most roots and its almost gone!! Contacted her again and told her! But she insisted the plant was okay and she showed me video of it in their store, yes she did but that was Sept 19th the moment she told me iwhats available, but never showed me the plant prior to shipping! Like clearly, the plant was either shipped toooooo wet or it was already like this before shipping! I asked if I could return in back and said they couldnt since I already manipulated the plant. Geeeez! I just decided to check on the roots today 10/13 as usually I dont touch or repot plants that came from shipping right away! I paid for a rooted Epi!! Not a cutting! I dont usually make reviews or do stuffs like this coz if its just tiny little problem I would always work around myself. But this situation is totally different. I'm so dissapointed. read more

The selection at Succulents Empire is great. There are lots of rare and uncommon plants that are somewhat hard to find in person. The staff is very friendly, though I struggle to communicate depending on who is there due to language barrier. There was a mishap where I purchased a pricy plant under the impression it was one thing. I got it home and showed a friend and it turns out it was not the plant I had been under the impression it was. Succulents Empire let me exchange it the next day no problem, which was awesome. I will say that a good portion of their selection is overpriced... I've seen identical plants go for $100-$300 more here than they do at most other sellers. I don't know if they expect people to haggle the prices, but to me that just makes an unpleasant shopping experience... especially when you don't speak the same language and can't haggle. Also, I have browsed their website before going in person to see what they have. I will see a plant listed on their website with a flawless photo, then I will go in the store and the same plant is significantly damaged and rotting. I know it's the same plant because it will be labeled the same... example "Thai Constellation #3". I would never buy online from them for fear of not getting what was advertised and it being chalked up to shipping damage. I've also brought home three plants from this shop that had root rot upon further inspection, two of which died from the rot. Currently trying to save one. So if you buy from here, shop in person and really really inspect the plant before buying. Maybe try to talk to price down too. read more

OMG! I can't say thank you enough to Joelibeth Portillo and her team from succulentsempire for the amazing experience I had at their location. I love that when I walked in I was met with smiles from them all while allowing me to look around and admire the plants without feeling like someone is hovering over me. She allowed me to walk the nursery and see where they handle all the shipping from. Love that it's family owned and run and even her sweet girls help out (at least the older one). If I have questions she kindly answers them. As any small business, it can get hectic in there but I just keep looking around until they're free and can take care of me. Plants are a personal thing and for me it's therapy, so going into their place of business I feel like I'm transported somewhere else and for the time I'm there I just enjoy it. My plants are living their best life here at home and I can proudly say that not one plant I've gotten from her has died. So if you're ever in that area, stop by and give them a visit. read more

Including those that are not rare or uncommon.
