beware!!! worst experience ever!!! unprofessional unaccountable rude & flat out disorganized the couple has zero customer service skills. you'll have a better experience at a big box store!!! they should be ashamed!!! go to the nursery a couple of minutes away! they were flat out nasty with all the customers that left disappointed!!! read more

I agree with a previous reviewer. Hoa is so knowledgeable! The nursery is incredible. The variety of trees is overwhelming. I could have stayed all day. I would highly recommend a visit if you are looking for amazing plants. I purchased a red lime for my son who lives in Orlando, and I got a Persian lime for myself as I live in zone 8 and will have to bring it inside in the winter. I will be going back on my next visit to Orlando! read more

Hoa is incredibly knowledgeable. The nursery is very well kept with a great variety to choose from. She knows her plants well and is able to provide recommendations based off your individual circumstances. Hoa is warm and inviting, making starting my home harvesting journey way less intimidating. Her prices were more competitive to the online nurseries I browsed, and the trees are in better condition with many actively fruiting upon pickup. Will go again! read more

Mrs Hoa has a treasure trove of knowledge and insight of almost all her plants on property. If you have any questions about planting and care she is more than willing to share her years of experience with you. If you just want to visit her nursery or purchase any variety of her local and exotic plants, it's truely a no stress buying environment. Prices are great compared to other nursery with less selection. read more

After the nursery planted the trees, I was shocked when they asked to be paid $700 in cash for the service. A week later, two of the trees they planted died. I called Pokey's, they told me they will schedule to come by my house to replace the dead trees. It has been well over two months and I still have not heard anything back from them.

I have purchased many, many plants, veggies, herbs, annuals, shrubs and several trees from Tropic Decor over the years. Their market selection is seasonal to our growing climate, offering healthy and popular plants, annuals, herbs, veggies and shrubs from week to week. If you are looking for something in particular, just ask. When I was searching, I was directed to the office number who advised if the plants I wanted would be available at the next market. Happily, they were. When we purchased 2 large magnolias, their staff delivered and installed the large and cumbersome trees for a very reasonable fee. The work was done quickly and the trees looks great years later. Whenever I purchase something I'd like a few tips on, most recently the Red Robin tomatoes, I seek out the advise of one of the 2 older gentleman. They always have a smile and some great growing advice from their years of farming and growing in the Central FL climate. In this case, I'll happily keep those Red Robins in a pot and very well watered. At the market they take cash, or a check for large (tree) purchases.

We wanted to check out some antique or vintage shops/malls in Mount Dora area a little after the…read moreholidays. This was one of the locations that came up - the antique center does have stalls open during the week aside from the outdoor market they have outside the facility on Sundays. Similar to some of the other antique malls or multi-stall stores I've been to, there are different stalls that are rented out by different vendors that sell different items. Depending on when you visit, some may not be open for business and will be roped off or have signs saying when they will be open next. We did go when some folks were still off for the holidays, which resulted in a handful of closed stalls, but a good number of the locations were open to wander and shop. Some of the stalls sell vintage and retro items and others like the large toy/doll stall on one of the ends sell deadstock collectible items. I think there's something there for everyone - I saw booths for books, dolls, collectibles, old wartime items, jewelry, and home decor. Pricing does vary for each of the booths and items. Some may run some deals and they will have signs to call out what is on sale in their booth. I did not purchase anything, but I believe if the owner of the booth is not present, you can go to one of the desks throughout the center and ask the folks working there to assist with purchases or for unlocking locked cabinets to see something. There was a decent amount of parking when I went, but if you do go during the outside market on Sundays, I suspect you'd want to go early to get a spot.

Again I do enjoy the walkabout that antique smell is definitely there and most of the people are very friendly and interesting to talk to.

In my experience, this market is unwelcoming to minorities and operates with a level of hostility and unprofessionalism that has no place in a community space. The attitude I encountered was rude, dismissive, and openly disrespectful. Instead of the warm, inclusive environment you'd expect from a farmers' market, I was met with behavior that felt biased and exclusionary. It was clear that respect was not extended equally, and that alone is enough to ensure I will never return. A farmers' market should represent community, diversity, and mutual respect. This one failed on all fronts. Until the organizers address how minorities are treated and hold vendors and staff to basic standards of professionalism and decency, I strongly advise others to spend their money elsewhere. Hoa's Nursery was well upkept and clean. We were looking for citrus trees after most our trees died from the recent harsh winter. They carry many selections and the trees look healthy, even bearing fruits right after the winter freeze. The kumquat trees were beautiful, with healthy kumquats hanging on each branch. Hoa was friendly and knowledgeable. She let us taste a kumquat straight from the tree and we've never tasted such sweet and meaty kumquat! We immediately bought one not just for the delicious taste but also for the beautiful decor added to our landscape. We ended up getting a tangerine, grapefruit and lemon tree. The price is very reasonable. Ed was nice and helpful. All in all, Great service! I highly recommend Hoa's nursery and would definitely come back whenever we get a chance. read more
