This place smells FANTASTIC! Great deals, helpful staff, and it's fine if you don't wear a shirt there. Ask for the secret menu.

Japadog is one of my favorite places to eat at in Vancouver!…read more I had the Japamiso BLT and it was so delicious! I'm not normally a fan of hot dogs but the hot dog was so good and it was cooked perfectly. The toppings all came together so well and all the flavors were so balanced. I also recommend adding ketchup and jalapeños from the topping bar to enhance it even more! The fries were also amazing! I also recommend getting a japanade, it was so good! The vibes are so good here and the staff were so friendly. The inside is very nice and has cool and cozy vibes. The menu is very easy to understand and the pictures really help! I highly recommend coming here! It's amazing!

They introduce Japanese inspired flavors and even their wieners are made from more Asian inspired sausage flavors than American ones (aka, usually more fatty, juicy and meaty than processed). Because of the amount of ingredients that go into each dog, be prepared to have a full stomach. 1. Kurobuta Terimayo (5/5) Kurobuta Pork sausage with fried onions, teriyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, seaweed. The pork sausage was rich in pork flavor and was very juicy. The teriyaki sauce and Japanese mayo added sweetness to contrast the savory pork. The combination worked well together. We did not feel overly heavy after eating this. 2. Wagyu Beef Bacon Cheese (4/5) This dog contains Wagyu beef sausage, torched Aburi cheese, bacon and Japanese mayo. The hot dog bun was soft and airy, the wagyu beef sausage was fatty, but juicy, and the cheese and bacon gave it almost a "cheeseburger" flavor profile. This burger was a bit too dense for my preference. However, it's still good overall.

Have grabbed a burger here a few times. Full McDonalds menu with limited seating, although I'm not…read moresure you would really want to dine in even if there was. Certainly not in a nice part of town. Normally fairly quick service, even when busy. The staff are sometimes quite short and grumpy, though I can't blame them -- I would be too with the clientele this McD's serves, who are often rude, belligerent junkies. If you're just looking for a quick bite for lunch, this McDonalds is alright. Wouldn't recommend it for families, though.

This Mcdonalds is unique because there are no chairs and tables anywhere near the stand-alone mall…read morerestaurant. There are also no self-serve computer order kiosks. Eating in is not an option. Note that I came around 9pm on a Monday so maybe they took all the tables away earlier. Years ago when I visited this location, they had many chairs and tables just outside and inside the restaurant. Due to the awful area, a lot of homeless people were hanging around just sitting. Not necessarily eating. Now with the chairs and tables gone, there are barely any of them hanging around so I guess it's for the better. It didn't eliminate the problem entirely because as soon as I stepped out of the restaurant area I was asked a couple times by several people for a "rolling paper", extra change, or a lighter. Also, I noticed some of the windows of the restaurant were broken and boarded up with plywood. Yikes. It was VERY hot out (30 degrees!) So I decided to visit this McDonalds for a cheap but delicious frozen treat. I wanted to try their new peach smoothie but they ran out of it. I came later at 9pm so it's not surprising but it's still disappointing because I love peach smoothies. I settled for their strawberry banana smoothie. The smoothie I bought was delicious so I think it is very much worth it. It was refreshing and I could actually taste the strawberries and Banana flavors in it. In my opinion, a medium size is just enough to cool you down on an extremely hot day. Overall, their fruit smoothies are good! Good price too as it was "summer drinks day" time so it was only $2 for a medium one ($2.38 after tax and cup fee). Service could be better. There was a group of homeless looking people in front of me counting every dime, nickel and quarter to pay for their food so it took a really long time to wait to get my order in. There were 4 cash registers. Usually, another staff member would jump in and take another order using the other register but none came. Only one register was available and there were no self-serve kiosks. I had to wait 5-6 minutes to wait and get my order in even though there was only one order in front of me. Once I got my order in, it took a little longer than expected to get my smoothie, maybe 3-4 minutes. Usually it would take 1-2 minutes if it was not busy like this visit. I have a feeling that this Mcdonalds is either understaffed or just slow. Overall, I'd avoid this location if possible. Slower than expected service, and the type of people that are walking around in the area are not very, say, totally normal. Also there's nowhere to eat your food at the restaurant or near it. Kinda inconvenient. It's a decent grab and go place for the kind of stuff where you can walk and enjoy your food such as smoothies. Only giving 2 stars for the reasons stated above. I recommend you go to the slightly better Mcdonald's nearby instead. It's by Main Street - Science World skytrain station but only one short subway stop away from the Chinatown - Stadium Skytrain Station by the mall.

They offer 10+ house-made sausages, plus snacks, pretzels, and their famous monster milkshakes. It's not just for photos. The food tastes as good as it looks. Monster Milkshake - Break Me Off a Piece of That: Not your average milkshake. It came loaded with a chocolate ice cream bar, crushed vanilla waffle cone, and Kit Kat bars blended into a rich chocolate heaven. German Brats - Pete Brat: Texas bison sausage topped with onions and bell peppers, wrapped in gooey gouda, mozzarella, and cheddar. This is my favourite! Summer Special - Maui Beef Brat: Sweet with mango habanero sauce, grilled pineapple, teriyaki mayo, and jalapeños. Super unique combo. Curry Fries: Crispy fries piled high with currywurst slices, curry ketchup, and mayo. Perfect comfort snack. Massive Soft Pretzels: Golden, chewy, and the ultimate Gastown shareable snack (though I wouldn't mind finishing one myself). This spot is a gem in the neighbourhood. Brat Haus really levels up casual food and milkshakes into something fantastic and playful. We'll definitely be back. Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: Eatery Kids: 3/5 Yay! Great flavor, nice snap, and I'm definitely interested in trying more of their menu options next time. The fries, though, were a bit of a miss for me. They were not super fresh, and the seasoning had a funky taste I didn't love. Might just be a personal preference, but I'd probably skip them next time. I first discovered Jollibee when I was working in Hong Kong. There was a Jollibee in Central…read moreDistrict, and when I had the time (and money), I would get a meal there, because I really enjoyed it. Since then, Jollibee has come to Canada. There are now four locations in the Lower Mainland (two in Vancouver and two in Surrey), and a few in the Toronto Area, but, unfortunately, none anywhere near us. As it happened, we were in Vancouver when this Jollibee first opened, and I remember seeing people lined up around the block, in the rain, so clearly, there were plenty of people besides me who understood how good Jollibee is. Now that it's been a while, and there are three other locations in the area, the lineup no longer runs out the door, but there is often a lineup at the ordering kiosks (all of the staff were busy making and serving up the food, so even though there are tills up front, they're not being used), and I saw plenty of people standing with their trays of food, waiting for tables to free up, so unless you have more patience than I do (which, granted, isn't very much), I'd recommend that you take in an insulated bag and get takeout (or have it delivered, if you're within range of a location). This time, I got an aloha burger (which is what attracted my interest in the first place in Hong Kong), a bucket of chicken joy, palabok, a tub each of rice and mashed potatoes with gravy, and a couple of the peach mango pies. (Because if there isn't a rule that you can't leave Jollibee without a peach mango pie, there should be.) As far as I know, Jollibee is the only fast food joint in Canada (besides KFC) that offers mashed potatoes as a side. I don't have anything against fries, and neither does my sweetie, but she loves mashed potatoes with a white-hot passion, so if I can make her happy getting her some, I'm going to take that opportunity. (I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid.) When I got back to our hotel, my sweetie loved everything, so we have no difference of opinion when it comes to Jollibee. If one ever opens in the Niagara Region, I can confidently predict that we will be patronising it.
