We wanted a kid friendly option and came in for the pizza, but ended up being blown away by the massive sandwich menu! Don't be discouraged by the line - it moves FAST!!!! The young people at the register and in the kitchen are efficient and so nice!!! We arrived about half an hour before the sign says pizzas are ready, and the lovely man at the register said "sure!" when we asked if we could order a pizza. The menu has something for everyone - Including plenty of vegetarian options (I think they even had a vegan option). I loved my Griffon, and the meat eaters in our group enjoyed the SS Noronic (a BLT) and the Fitzgerald. Our kids devoured their cheese pizza! They also carry Great Lakes Co Chips, which are some of the best potato chips we've ever had. Our sandwiches were all so inventive with delicious, fresh ingredients, amazing condiments, and the most freshly baked "pretzel rolls" ever. If this place wasn't a vacation stop for us, we'd be back all the time! Our kiddos favorite part, bedsides the pizza, were the tiny plastic swords that came in our sandwiches holding them together. When they each wanted one more sword, we went back inside and the staff inside was so used to kids asking for more tiny swords that their response to "May we have two more swords?" Was "Sure! What colors?!" Very different from what the response would have been where we're from. :) We even came back later in the day for the frozen custard!!! All in all, it was a great experience with great food, great service, plenty of outdoor picnic tables under umbrellas, and something for everyone to eat.

Glen Arbor's secret - a real deal Jewish deli shop with enormous sandwiches and variety of bagels…read more Get there before 10 AM because they do sell out TIp: order the half sandwich or if you and your dining companion like the same sandwich just get one and split it. At about 14 a2 to $15 apiece this is one of the rare exceptions where it is a good value because you will get two meals out of each sandwich. We ordered a Tripoli (ham, turkey, salami, and provolone, lettuce, and tomato) and a Gaza ( curried chicken, lettuce, tomato, shredded carrot, and peas) both on rye bread. Both sandwiches were made with high-quality ingredients and we would definitely recommend either of them. Again, I cannot stress it enough, the sandwiches are enormous, and you really should share. it feels like a grammar school, kind of a cafeteria, it's modern and clean, but not particularly in inviting or appealing or charming in any way. Service was patient with his first time, kind, and very helpful. Recommend!! I'd like to return in the future and try their bagels. I'm disappointed that I came at lunchtime and all they had left with cinnamon raisin and I'm not a fan of raisins so... Next time!

I would love to try to lunchmeat sandwiches on my next visit. Highly recommend this. Don't expect it to be a go, grab and leave. It's a busy place so even if the line isn't long, you'll be waiting for a bit to get your order. I'd say, it's completely worth it, as long as you have the time!

For those of you who pick your restaurants based on pop, they serve Coke and Northwoods. The menu is expansive ranging from appetizers, boasted chicken, a salad bar, Mexican, burgers/sandwiches and pizza. I did not upload pics of the menu bc their entire menu is available on their website. The staff is friendly and attentive. We arrived and every table in the place was full but was still seated within 15 mins. The food came out quickly after ordering. We got the garlic cheese bread as an appetizer, and the Broasted Chicken and a Small Pepperoni Pan Pizza as entrees. Everything was delicious and incredibly reasonably priced for the portions. Ambience inside is a little dated and while the tables/floors are clean, the decor on the walls could use some attention. Otherwise, Rico's is a great local place and I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

We stumbled upon Rico's--one of the few places still open late--and decided to give it a try. We're so glad we did! The food was delicious. My husband and I really enjoyed our meals--everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and satisfying after hours on the road. Some of our family had mixed opinions, but overall, everyone found something they liked. What really stood out was the friendly and welcoming staff. Even though it was late, they were kind, patient, and made us feel right at home. If I'm ever back in Traverse City, I'd definitely order from Rico's again. Great option for late-night dining with good vibes and solid food!
