This Culver's is my favorite. Me and my friends like to come here on Wednesday nights, which we've been doing for years now, and most of the staff knows us as part of the regular crowd. They treat us with patience and kindness and always let us connect a couple tables to accommodate for our larger (and sometimes louder) group... just so long as we put them back at the end. It feels pretty cool that we have a system like this with these random people who have become our local friends... at a fast-food restaurant of all places! In terms of the restaurant itself, it's normally not too busy, the food has always been good and you can cash in Scoopy Tokens for prizes pretty easily here. There's also always a beautiful view of the sunset from the outdoor seating. I'd highly recommend this Culver's. Say hi to Kathy while you're here, too! She's the best! read more

Had issues at the drive thru. Came in Kaydience and other workers were talking crap about what happened in the drive thru to other workers In front of us when we walked in the door. Was very rude when we came in And never appogized about it only manager apologized. We had a miscommunication and came inside to do the order and was met with rude smack talk about us. Very unprofessional and will never spend my money their again. Kaydience also likes to Laugh and smile after being confronted about being rude. Very very unprofessional. read more

I absolutely love the Butter Burgers and I love the Whitefish too. It's a great place to eat! The atmosphere is tops too!!

Best drive thru burgers around! The line can get a bit long, but the food and ice cream are top notch from drive thru.

The food is very good though hold out if your not into to much grass and butter the burgers are goof besides all of the butter 6/10. the cheese curds are really good I sometimes find my self going there just for cheese curds 10/10 they have a nice crunch with a golden cheese center. The custard is also really good due to it being a funner healthier version of ice cream with a very similar texture. The service is fine as you would figure not spectacular but not underneath average. The vibe is really cool with cars custard and butterburgers the lights are nice I also enjoy the themes. read more

Worse experience ever. I ordered a frozen custard, flavor of the day which was vanilla custard with strawberries and cake pieces. I ordered inside and was handed an already melted cone which I watched them scoop up, so it didn't sit out. The custard had two tiny strawberry pieces and two tiny cake pieces. So basically I get melted vanilla custard. There was no A/C inside and apparently the freezers were not working either. If the custard is not hard enough to scoop, I should have been informed of this prior to handing me a melted mess. I could not even enjoy the cone as I needed to "inhale" it so I didn't get it all over myself. I won't be visiting this location again. read more

Having spent a lot of time in places like Wisconsin this chain is no stranger to us. However, with limited numbers of locations in Northern Michigan many people still don't realize this is a large chain. Fortunately, the food is much better here than you would get at Burger King or McDonald's. And while it is still fast food it is a step up from the competition. Therefore, if you're looking to grab lunch or dinner and not spend a lot of money (and are accustomed to eating fast food) you'll love this place and the wonderful service they offer every time you come in. On this trip I ordered the Wisconsin Melt and of course you gotta go with the double patty option. Be prepared for a little bit grease, but I think that's the reason it tastes so good. Another thing to consider is if you want to cut a few calories (since you had that greasy massive burger) then grab a soup instead of those fries. They always have several soups on the menu and it's only a small upcharge. We also ordered a Double Mushroom Swiss Burger and it blew anything you find inside McDonald's and I mean blew away. Having been to several dozen of their locations nationwide I can't say I've ever been disappointed in the fast food experience. I'm sure you feel the same. read more

I worked there and let me just say, it's not worth the money. The only thing I still purchase is concrete mixers. It's not that everything isn't real or whatever, it's the fact that the taste does NOT add up with the pricing. There was always internal issues between staff and really unless you're a regular, you don't get much attention paid to you. read more

This was my first and last stop while entering and exiting Traverse City. First and foremost and the reason for the 5 stars alone is the service is off the charts nice and efficient. Granted I'm a New Yorker (Stranger in a strange land), so anyone who says hi when you walk through the door I automatically think is nice since that doesn't happen too often in the city. But honestly, it is refreshing when someone is so nice at a fast food joint. The first time at Culver's was to grab a sweet treat, and this place was no short of perfection for satiating the craving. It was sensory overload with all the options, so I just went for a Concrete of vanilla with Reese's cups and fudge swirl. Awww yeah! This was awesome!!! On another visit during the week while in Traverse City, stopped in again for dessert another wonderful concrete and happy smiles. On the last trip, I got a butter cheeseburger and an order of fries. The fountain soda came as part of the meal. So many choices, you almost want to mix them all for a Frankensoda of sorts, but I let that idea pass real quick. My wife got the special "Pub" burger with fried onions, bacon, bbq sauce and some cheddar, along with the fried Wisconsin cheese curds. All was right in the world. Ordered dinner inside to go. Took it home to find out they completely missed my sandwich and my husband's burger had everything on it that he asked NOT to put on it. Terrible service. When I drove all the way back to get my sandwich that I paid for. The employee told me that I had to give the cheese curds back. WTF! I was just recently at this Culver's location, which I love the fact that it was clean and they had a mateur staff, But this last time I was there i counted about six teenagers in the kitchen wearing no masks pushing each other goofing around and even throwing food at each othe, Not even carrying that the customers could see all this, It was disgusting. I will just be adding to the praise of this restaurant. The food was hot and cooked fresh, we had a fish sandwich which was yummy and a double meat hamburger that looked just like the pictures and was great. Fries were amazing, I love hot, crisp fries and these did not disappoint. Followed by the frozen custard of the day, Georgia peach ... seemed like canned peaches on top of the custard, it was good but fresh would have been awesome. This was our first visit and we had to go back and buy some of the frozen custard for the road. Staff was very nice and efficient. The restaurant was clean which is always good. read more

My mom and I were about to hit the road to head back south after our two-day excursion around the Traverse City area. We realized that we needed a drink and a bathroom break. Being native Wisconsinites, I saw the Culvers, and pulled right in. Not only could my mom get her favorite raspberry shake (she's addicted, I swear) and I could grab a soda, but we could use the clean restrooms and sit for a moment in the nice clean restaurant. All of the Culvers I've ever been to have been cleaner than the average larger-chain fast food restaurant (which shall remain unnamed). Of course, it helps that many Culvers locations are only a few years old. Anyhow, I'd be remiss not to mention Culvers delicious frozen custard. And some of their other offerings are also great...three words here: fried cheese curds. 'Nuff said. read more

Culvers definitely by far has awesome food especially their burgers! I only have a couple of requests. Too much salt is put on the bugers before cooking and the cooks always smush the buns on the hamburgers where they are so flat!! read more

First time at Culver's, and while I wasn't really expecting anything, I wasn't disappointed. Similar to a Carls, Jr, you order and they give you a number and bring out the food when done. It had that nice personal touch that fit well with up North. The restaurant was clean, the employees were friendly, and the food wasn't horribly priced. I tried the sourdough melt, and it was good enough to make me interested in trying one of their burgers another time. My wife just got onion rings, which weren't that good but weren't terrible at the same time. We did like their fried cheese curds, though. And we got our daughter the grilled cheese kid's meal that included fries and a scoop of ice cream. Obviously, the ice cream was her favorite. I was surprised the fries were good when I first saw them -- I generally don't like those crinkle-cut fries, they end up always tasting like the frozen ones from the store. Grilled cheese you wouldn't think possible to mess up, and they didn't. It was certainly passable for a fast food restaurant. I have been working in the area for 3 weeks. The snack pak meals are affordable, but you have to check if they put ketchup in your pak. Even when they ask you if you want ketchup they don't put it in. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but when you work hard all day... and they ask you if you want ketchup.. and there isn't any in your pack..you get to your room.. Yeah, it is a downer. Eating dry fries as I type this.. should have learned after the 1st and 2nd time this happened. read more

I have always liked Culver's and their burgers are always good. This visit was less than a 5star! We ordered 5 basket meals and were shorted a few orders of fries. I went back up to the counter and explained that I was shorted a few orders of fries and showed them my receipt. First of all, they gathered around the receipt to review the order and began to explain that I didn't pay for 5 basket meals and since I received 5 drinks, I actually owed them additional $, and proceeded to ring up the additional $3.29. First of all, I don't mind paying for what I received, however to stand and take up time was mind blowing. They were actually rude that I didn't pay for my drink. I spent $46 for dinner...should have went somewhere with sit down service e and more respectful employees! I am in management and I would have never had the customer to pay for a drink that in reality cost them 10cents...it was iced tea! Oh, they did give me the missing fries, but in reality they didn't give me anything, I paid for it! Management needs to be visible at this location. read more

just had the worst customer service here ever out of any experience in my life, i work in fast food and am serve safe certified and understand food allergies as i am allergic to shellfish. so at their order speaker we asked addimintly not to mix shrimp with other food then get to the window ask again just to make sure they have it already in the same bag then separate it at window and hand out like we didn't just watch them already have it mixed then say their to busy and short handed and if we want better service put in a application.. omg is this real is what i thought mixing food alleriges then handing it back to customer after watching them unseperating it after already being mixed""""this is real""" then told us if we wanted 2 extra sodas at the window we could pull around after already treating us terrible this managment at culvers in chums corners dont care about foood allergies an treats coustomes terrible... the cash handlers at window was awesome and looked discgusted after watching them seperate the food mixed togather and seemed to agree with us on all of this,,, i wish you were the manager yuoo have great customer service skills... im really unsatisfied with this place as we are loyal customers and will most likley never go there again. lost customers saying we are to short handed to seperate your food alleric order and not able to add 2 sodas to our $30 order.. this place is not trustworthy with food allergies and your safty... read more

Culver's consistently produces great fast food, especially the burgers. They're always hot and always excellent. The service is speedy and efficient. The frozen custard is delicious every time we get it. It's creamier than ice cream and you can get it with all kinds of different toppings. I highly, highly recommend it. This is the best you can get at a fast food restaurant, and this location in particular offers great specials (five burgers and a family-sized fry for $9.99!).
