After about a minute or two, an employee came to unlock the door and apologized, that they were running behind that morning. We used the restrooms before ordering, allowing the other customer to order first. The bathrooms were definitely not cleaned over night. Considering we were the first ones to use the restrooms of the day, that's not a good look. When we came out, the customer was still waiting at the counter. From the time we were waiting for the door to be unlocked to getting our food, we had waited well over 30 minutes and the drive thru had been completely cleared out. I was tempted to just go into the drive thru instead. Service was SLOW inside. The food was hot and good and when we were helped, they were friendly. But man, the wait time really set us back during our roadtrip. Hopefully, we don't come across this Cookout location again.

Our server did a pretty mediocre job, if I'm being real - she took our orders and delivered the food but pretty much didn't check on us for the entire meal, and I ended up having to take my trash to the front counter to get rid of it, since no one was bussing the table. I got the Chicken Power Pita and I was underwhelmed with it. The pita was soggy and cold, and everything inside felt mushy and a bit flavorless. My wife's roast beef sandwich was also extremely lacking, although she did like the bread. Weirdly, she wanted lettuce, tomato, and onion on it, and the server told us that they didn't offer onion. Why does a deli not have sliced onion for its sandwiches? On the positive side, my father-in-law really liked his chili. Because we got there so early, we found parking on the street, but I'm not sure how easy it'd be to find parking if you came during normal lunch hours. Inside the restaurant, it had standard deli vibes. I would definitely not come back here if I was stopping in Statesville for lunch.

Food seems to be decent, ill try another one when I'm in the south.

We stopped here to make a quick stop, but it was definitely not quick. Food was typical Chick-fil-A. Service was not as good as other places. I asked for extra pickles on my sandwich and the girl wanted to charge me ! That's the first time I've ever been told that and I have been to MANY different locations. Our group will not stop here next time. Lesson learned.
