The fantastic bartender, Jerry, shouts out a greeting to everyone who walks in and hustles to make sure everyone is taken care of QUICKLY! The menu was perfect for a delicatessen with standard choices of turkey, pastrami, tuna salad, soups and specialty beef brisket sandwiches. The prices are more than fair with the delicious pastrami sandwich coming with a sufficient amount of meat and quality bread for the great price. You can add additional meat for a small charge. It's nice to have a sandwich that isn't is more than you can eat and twice the price. I had the homemade chicken and wildrice soup which was also delicious filled with chunks of white chicken meat. We topped it off with a slice of Magoons famous cheese cake which did not disappoint! The atmosphere is eclectic with booths that have heard many stories over the years, a great bar with plenty of seating and unique antiques. When they are made right in front of you, 4 feet away on the other side of the glass with class and care with Xavier checking with you " You said well done right? You stated extra black beans - some more?" Then he generously pours the Sweet Asian dressing and bbq sauce on top of that shrimp bowl masterpiece ( video ) Really flavorful and perfect black beans. What is the purpose of having an app that you can order and pick up your order at a specific time?…read moreYesterday 2/26/26 I placed an order on the app and the pick up time was 4:57pm, I arrived at 5:00pm and did not see my order on the pick up shelf. One of the employees asked if I was there for a pick up order and my name, she said it's not ready yet and it will be a few minutes. I waiting for 30 minutes while they assisted walk in customers ordering their sandwiches and picking them up and leaving all while they weren't completing the online orders. Approximately 20 people went through the line and were able to receive their orders at that time. My order did not get completed until I asked a second time when my order would be ready. This was ridiculous, why place an online order when it would be more timely to order in person, this was horrible customer service by the manager in charge. I finally received my order at 5:35pm...... ridiculous!
