On my travels I stopped at this Jimmy John's location aka "No Bread, All Dread" I was expecting a sandwich, because, you know, you're a *sandwich shop*. Imagine my shock when they informed me they were out of bread. But wait, it gets better. They casually mentioned they had "wheat bread" and could still make my footlong. Sold! I thought, naively, that "wheat bread" meant, you know, actual bread. Nope. What I got was my sandwich fixings slapped between two flimsy slices of grocery store-style sliced bread--the kind you'd find in your grandma's pantry. They also had the audacity to charge me for full footlong for this sad, floppy impostor of a sandwich. I paid for a Ferrari and got a tricycle with a flat tire. The best part was the mayonnaise situation. I ordered a sandwich, not a mayo slip-n-slide. When I took my first bite, it was like a mayonnaise geyser erupted. Went there over my lunch break, there were maybe 4 cars in the drive through. It took all of 30 minutes to get through the drive through. After, they took my card and charged it and then never got my food. No one came to the window for another 10 minutes. I had to leave. Kind of an odd experience. Went here for lunch yesterday. My husband ordered first. I ordered second. He went to the restroom as I was ordering and then I paid. When I was checking out, the cashier asked with concern, "did he go to the restroom?" To which I replied "I think so". She said the bathrooms are not available to the public. And I said "really?" To which she responded there are signs on the doors. I had no idea what she expected me to do, finish paying with my credit card, or go chase down my husband and berate him for trying to use the bathroom. So I opted for finishing paying. By that time, he was sitting at a table. I asked him if he was able to get into the restroom and he was able to do so. He said there was an occupied sign, but it wasn't. When we left, I looked all over the front door and the side door. There are no signs reflecting there are no available public restrooms. How does a sandwich place expect you to wash your hands before you eat a sandwich? Thankfully I brought hand sanitizer. I can understand not having a bathroom for anyone off the street, but a paying customer should be able to use the facilities. Their condiments were sparse. No napkins, one Mayo, no black pepper. But they had mustard and salt thankfully. The sandwiches were ok. It was just an extremely odd experience. Went in with a large order for a touring crew, with a couple of guys who wanted vinegar and oil on the side rather than directly on their sandwiches. The store wouldn't do it because it's "against corporate policy" to do so. They also refused to write the names/numbers of the orders on the sandwiches because it was also "against corporate policy". I don't know if being accommodating to customer needs is truly against Jimmy John's corporate policy, but if it is, I've got a message for the regional manager: grow a pair. Looking out for the bottom line includes accommodating customer needs like this. No one wants to play white elephant party with people's food and just start unwrapping and grabbing other people's food/someone else grabbing your food without gloves until it's all in the proper hands. And if the corporate policy is to tell customers, "You take it like this, or you can go somewhere else" - then maybe your store doesn't deserve to stay open. If you're an employee who preaches the corporate policy byline, I've got a message for you too: the company doesn't care about you. The people who are eating there are workers like you. They work long days for crappy pay and for maybe a sliver of a moment every day they can indulge in some food they like to eat, only to be told the way they will best be able to enjoy such indulgence just cannot be done because VP of Northwestern MO Sales says you can't just provide a small cup of oil. Not the first time, but the last time. I just deleted the app. Ordered at 12:14 Order arrived at 2.01. Order went out for delivery at 12.30, per the app. At 1:15 I called the store to ask. Spoke to two different people. They both ask the same series of questions: First on said "Hang on a minute" and put me on hold each time. Second asked all the same questions. Both said they could not find the order. After 10 minutes on the phone the second told me I was rude and there was nothing he could do. I would have to talk to the GM who was out at the bank depositing all the money they made. GM returned my call when he got back. He cant make people come to work, he cant hire help. Told me I was yelling at his staff. I asked him if I was yelling at him now? He said no, and I told him "same tone of voice I used on them. Not Yelling" He told me I was being an asshole. I agreed. His advertising is fast. 2 hours isn't fast. Not knowing that the drivers were still out is not acceptable. Just tell me that. Dont insult me and tell me your story. My problem is I didn't get lunch. Question: If he is so short staffed that he cant deliver meals, why is he going to the bank? Wouldn't his time be better served delivering to his customers? Jimmy Johns is not your typical "Sub-Way" style sub shop. Instead of choosing your bread, meat, cheese, and fixings, you choose from a diverse menu of interestingly delicious sub ensembles, like the "Italian Night Club". I, for some reason, always seem to order the same thing. The Turkey Tom is just so darn good. How they are able to make something so basic, with NO cheese, taste good, blows my mind. I do have this love/hate relationship with the bread, though. It's not as soft as most sub shops, which is fine since it's still tasty. It's just firm enough to cause the insides to slowly squeeze out the back as I'm eating it. This requires a special way of eating the sub and a lot of finger licking. Another reason why I like Jimmy John's, is they don't mess around when it comes to pickles. I'm so sick of getting these pathetic excuses for pickles at most other restaurants. At Jimmy John's, the pickle is nearly the size of a small sub. I could get full off of that alone. Looking for something gluten-free or extra healthy? They also can make any sub an "unwich," where the bread is replaced with lettuce. It's still yummy. Love the food but ......its been 35 minutes and I'm still waiting. I'm less than 3 miles from the store- dry weather and yes, bitter cold. So, don't ride a bike .....drive my food to me. This has to be the worst sub I have ever had. For thirteen dollars I thought I was getting a great sub. No mayo two tomatoes a ton of meat but it was so salty that's all you could taste. Very very limited on topping and sides. I will say the driver was very polite. read more

World's smallest delivery area. I called for delivery and they said I was 10 blocks too far. That means they have a delivery radius of 8 blocks. This was also my first experience with them. If you don't live right off the belt, don't even bother trying to order Jimmy John's. Might as just order some Pizza at least they deliver all across the city. read more

My first experience at a Jimmy John's was in Colorado, and I loved it. Then I tried the one here and realized I was very wrong about what how I felt about the business. I recieved a gift card so I thought "ok, it's free, why not?" I ordered a vito and didnt know that Vito meant "Mostly bread, with one slice of meat and 10 onions". Jimmy John's is my favorite restaurant and I've gone to different locations all across the state and this location SUCKS. My order is messed up almost every single time. The manager is nice and has been helpful, but it's still very disappointing that they get my order wrong every time. The drive thru seems to mess up most often, but I've also had bad experiences in the store. I never write reviews or complain about service but this is getting ridiculous.
