Same new management as the Lilac location. Looks like a husband and wife team. Cheap on the veggies, old bread and the old staff is gone. Owners don't care. read more

Not sure why they ever have a shift with only one person... seems like poor management to me... Still a subway sub so at least it taste good even if you have to wait. read more

The person was rude. The portion are small. Subway is not like they use to be. Will never go back

Extremely rude, had me wait 20 minutes, totally ignoring me, then told me they are only taking online orders today, then just said BYE!, this is not the first time they have been rude and unprofessional, not going in there again. read more

I won't ever go to a Subway again. Tbh it's been probably 2yrs since I've had their food. I don't eat subs much so I went today and ordered a 6" veggie on wheat w oil. What I got was, a multi grain roll, can't eat seeds. It had some kind of salad dressing which tasted somewhat like Italian dressing, def not oil. Then the pickles were garlic. Worst sub I've ever tasted. I took one bite, threw it out. Wondered why they're dead at lunch, now I know why. read more

Alyssa (the manager) threw my order away in front of me over cheese. She didn't ask what we wanted on our turkey and CHEESE and our italian. When I kindly asked for american on it, she snapped that I didn't tell her I wanted cheese. I said you didn't ask, and she said yanno what I'm not helping you and threw it away. A couple of months ago, when I was 32 or so weeks pregnant with twins, I brought my 3 year old son in with me because he needed to pee. I asked if I could bring him to the bathroom, and the same awful manager, Alyssa, told me no. That it was for customers only. I even offered to pay for the sandwiches before she made them, and she told me me no and threw my sandwich that she was making out in front of me. She refused to let my son use the bathroom. I don't know how someone could treat others so poorly and not have any repercussions. Every review here is about her being awful to customers. I asked her name today, and she said I don't have to tell you that. I immediately called another store and found out that it's Alyssa. She's a terrible human being. I hope Subway does something about her horrible behavior. There's no way this is the best they could do for a manager. read more

RUDE beyond belief! They had bread for 4 small sandwiches when we ordered. They turned away a bunch of groups of people, at least 20 total, while we were there eating. No bread at a sandwich shop at 11:00 a.m.? Really? Food was ok. Service was terrible! Two girls, especially the one who said she was the manager, were awful. Why do companies hire people who go out of their way to be so rude for no reason? Asked for bathroom key, nicely, and she yelled at me. You're going to have to wait. Then threw it on the counter. I wasn't disrespectful to her. She should be FIRED! read more

Paid for my order on-line and when i got their to pick it up they were out of steak so i asked them to make me a different sandwich and they said they couldn't because i ordered on-line. they wouldn't reimburse me. this was on Thursday i was told corporate had to. which they still haven't as of Monday. if i was getting these sandwiches to feed my children and i had no money they would of gone to bed hungry. what a shit show the Lilac Mall location is read more

We use this subway for sandwiches at least once a month. Very rare the place isn't busy when I get there and the staff is stressed. Maybe I'm lucky in that I get good service but that doesn't help when they run out of key ingredients like ham or lettuce. There have been times the one down town has sent big orders up to this location which you only hope you get there before the person with 20 subs does! read more

Bathrooms locked and u must order and pay before that awful girl will give u a key. She had an attitude right from the get go ,mainly because she was in her car smoking when I pulled up to the store. She was extremely rude, and Subway should hire people that actually know how to deal with the public. Manners are really important and this lady had NONE. read more

I am a regular at this Subway, go in maybe 2-3 times a week at lunchtime, and can honestly say they made a mistake getting rid of the tall kid who worked there during lunch. The manager has some serious problems with customer service and needs to be replaced immediately. I don't know the gentleman's name but he always greeted me and treated me with respect whereas the woman there now is either sitting in the back or has an attitude toward everyone in line... read more

I always find the Main St. Rochester Subway location staff to by unfriendly and seemingly put out taking your order. They also put very little meat on their subs. It's been a bit since my last visit, but for sake of convenience only I stopped there again today. Sure enough, no change. Snippy attitude taking my order and they put on very little meat on the sub. So I asked for double meat which I know costs extra, but nope, they snipped back I couldn't have double meat today because they're low on meat. So I said I don't want the sub. The lady immediately threw the sub she started with the skimpy meat in the trash and told me not to come back. Ok Subway, I will comply! read more

This was the worst Subway experience I've ever had. They were out of numerous items and the manager (at least she said she was) was incredibly rude. I've just read other reviews that mentioned how rude she was as well. Apparently the owner of this location doesn't care at all. The place was dirty and the soda machine didn't work. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

I got pick up here tonight and these idiots didn't even heat up any of the subs. Cold steak and cheese. None of the cheese melted. Gave me the wrong cheese too and half the banana peppers were stems. read more

First time ever experience a really bad service by that ladies she was so rude. She pretty much destroyed my subway when she gave it to me !be aware of the lady with the bone she should never work with public. read more

terrible girl working the counter today (short dark hair) . I needed to use the restroom and she said I needed to buy something, I said "even if I really need to pee" she said "that sounds like a personal problem" rude!!!! Yes, I was upset and called her a curse word and walked out the door, could have been polite about it maybe " I'm sorry we don't have restroom for the public use" ect... I would have bought a drink / chips after but I refuse to eat there, I've had multiple hairs in my food read more

8:30 pm no steak, rude waitres, they really need to look at how they handle their food to make sure they have everything on the menu until closing. The woman that was working tonight was very rude. And should be fired. For the way she acted she drove away a couple that was standing behind us they went somewhere else. I hope management deals with this as I go there every Saturday but I will stop now and go back to Dunkins for my breakfast. read more

This place won't be open for long if they keep the manager named "ALYSSA" who is so nasty. I walked in with my son, we were like 10 feet from counter looking at menu. Out of nowhere this nasty angry voice came out and said no service for 2 hours, She went on to tell us " I got a big order", "and I'm not stopping this order I'm working on." I asked her if she could stop to make us 'ONE' sub. She became like a rabid dog shouting at me and calling me a bitch. When I asked to speak to her manager she just kept yelling over me saying she was going to call the police on me. When I asked her her name she stated it was Cindy. There is a girl named Cindy that works there and Alyssa is being rude to customers and then using another employees name for the complaint dept. I saw her turn 3 other people away. Maybe they should close shop if the order is that big instead of abusing the customers. ALYSSA should not be working with the public (SHE IS SICK IN HER HEAD ). I am reading these reviews and she has not just done this to me. She is always rude to customers. Read the reviews. All about ALYSSA being rude. read more

i went to order two steak and cheese subs , i picked them up and everything was good. i open them when i get home. ITS LITERALLY A BUN WITH BACON ON IT. that's all it was like how do you mess that up? read more

I don't scare easily, but holy cow! A visit to this Subway was terrifying. It was a dark and stormy night when the kid and I decided we would use one of those stupid coupons that we bought for some neighborhood kid's fundraiser. Sure, I never expected to actually use one of the "Buy one sub- Get one free" coupons as I forked over my ten bucks to little Suzie, but there I was, doing the unthinkable. The kid stayed at home, having written up his sub order for me. Yes, I am too clueless to remember all the intricacies of his order with some weird kind of bread and a plethora of bizarre condiments, so I drove into the night with his Post-It note in hand. I didn't know where Subway was located in Rochester, but I vaguely recalled passing it on my way to Home Depot one day. The roads were slick with rain as I spotted their yellow sign on North Main Street... sorta near Lafayette Street.... if you catch my drift.... I pulled into the parking lot and tried to figure out which way to park my car, since there were no lines marking the spaces. The lot was empty, except for a man bedecked in a dark hoodie and jeans who was pacing back and forth in the parking lot while talking to himself. I should have taken this as a cue to never buy those fundraising coupons from the neighborhood kids, but eventually the mumbling man soon wandered off and I left my car to enter the building. No sooner did I step inside the Subway, did the mumbling man follow me inside. "Can you do something?" the mumbling man asked the young woman, a Subway employee, at the counter. "He's calling the manager right now," the woman replied nervously before disappearing through the doorway and into the room on the right. The hooded man resumed his pacing and began muttering to himself about how hungry he was and how he needed food. As the only person in the restaurant, and the only person in the part of the restaurant with the mumbling man, I was a bit nervous. After speaking with a male employee, who was in the other room, the woman reappeared. "He's calling the manager right now," she reiterated. Then, the woman took my order for a my Chicken Bacon Ranch, and my son's Spicy Italian on multi-grain bread, toasted, with 2 slices of tomatoes, a handful of black olives, one slice of provolone, three-quarters of a slice of American cheese, a half a leaf of spinach, a sprinkle of red onions, thousand island dressing.... well, you get what I mean.... All the while, the mumbling man increased the volume of his mumbling so that he was better understood, although he was speaking to no one in particular. From what I heard: 1. he was homeless. 2. his girlfriend is pregnant. 3. they are living in the woods. 4. they had been kicked out of the shelter. 5. they wanted food. The rest of his rant was indecipherable. I was never so happy when the female handed me my subs. I paid for my order with a credit card. She swiped my card, and took care of the transaction. As soon as she handed me my receipt, she was gone! She immediately ducked into the room on the right and resumed communication with the unseen male employee, who was presumably still 'trying to call the manager.' As a result of this, I was left alone with the irate mumbling man, whose rants had escalated. At this point, I have to ask you gentle readers, restaurant managers, fast food employees, fathers of middle-aged women, husbands of middle-aged women, boyfriends of middle-aged women, teenagers with middle-aged women for mothers: Would you ever have left me alone in the empty restaurant with this lunatic? I would hope not. I felt bad for the homeless man. Maybe I would have slipped him a $20 if I had any assurance from the Subway staff's presence that he wouldn't knock me down, steal my purse, and drive off in my car. It is a sad day when a business such as Subway has to initiate some sort of mandate for dealing with a situation like this. I would hope that the common sense to never leave a customer, particularly a middle-aged female customer, alone in the restaurant's public area with a mumbling irate homeless man would be part of the procedure . read more

Bad attitude by the cashier. Very snippy. As I looked at the new menu board, I got a phone call from my medical doctor. I stepped away to take care the call. When I approached her again, She said "Are you finally ready to order?" I told her that I had to take a call from my doctor. When I finished my sandwich, I asked for a napkins, rather than hand me a napkin, she again responded snippy "It's in your bag" and I had to tell her No, it's not in my bag Avoid this place. read more

I don't go into Subway very often this trip will be my last. The bread was so stale you could break a porcelain plate. Really really lousy

Just was refused service. Was told that she's going to have to close early because her computer is down.

I am a 54 year old and have never seen such a dirty restaurant. My husband and i went in to grab something quick. The kid behind the counter must have been new, it took at least 15min before he got to us with only one person in front of us. I also asked to use the bathroom key, he handed it to me, gloves on, and continued making the man ahead of us subs, same gloves. The store was disgustingly dirty, rugs full of dirt, trash overflowing, tables and benches with crumbs all over, floors filthy. I will never go to that subway ever again. My husband wanted to go to another sub place but I said "how about Subway" I'll never do that again. how about a little time for cleaning up, and less time standing in the back room chatting it up. This store needs quite a bit of improvement. Grossed Out!!!!!! read more

Went in to buy some cookies for after dinner tonight.. After being patronized about having to buy something before using the restrooms, the young man at the register looked rather perturbed as he had just learned that he burned a whole batch of bread. He then proceeded to check out all of the people getting sandwiches that were behind me. It took him 5 minutes to check out each person. Meanwhile I am still waiting to buy my cookies and use the restroom after telling him I am only there to buy cookies. The worst has yet to come, as I finally get to the register, and I see the young man left up his sweaty tshirt from his stomach to whipe the sweat off of his forehead..AND not washing his hands afterward.. He then proceeded to ignore the cookie tongs that you use to pick up the cookies with, (that was literally sitting right next to the cookies) DOES NOT put gloves on and grabs the cookies with a NAPKIN and bare-sweat-hands.... No gloves, no tongs, sweaty hands, disgusting. If I could give this place a zero star I would. Gordon Ramsey couldn't even turn this subway around. read more

The entire place is filthy. Worst subway I've ever seen.only one slow person was working

One of the worst fast food experiences i have ever had! I was ordering a normal Tuna sub and one of the employees who i believe name was Jonah was absolutely terrible. He gave me an attitude for no reason and blamed it on is hours saying "Sorry i have been working all day and i'd appreciate it if you would hurry up!" He gave me this response after i took a certain amount of time to select if i wanted cheese or not. Then he gave me this look of disgust as i gave him the money for the sandwich. I was not happy with the costumer service at all! However the sandwiches are pretty good but use to be much better. Just wish we could have better and NICER people working the fast food spots nowadays... what an absolute bafoon read more

Went in around lunch time 12:15 pm. There was no one in line, and it took the guy at least 3 minutes to acknowledge that I was there. He said he would be with me as soon as he could. Then I noticed he was working on an order that had been faxed/called in and no one was there to pick it up yet. Stood there for another few minutes before I decided that I didn't have time to wait and left without ordering. Don't you think that you should wait on the people in front of you before people that aren't even there. Don't you think that you should have more than ONE person on when it's going to be the busiest time of the day? Most people only get 30-60 minutes for lunch and don't have the time to wait for 20 minutes for one sandwich. Don't usually go to this subway and don't think I'll be back. read more

My husband and I went for lunch on Monday April 3 we both got salads the girl must of been in training because she was clueless as to how to make one. My husband wanted the new Italian hero in a salad but they were out of the ingredients to make it. When we finally decided what they had and what we wanted they were out of olives for our salads also. Finally got our lunches and they were out of forks to eat our salads with so we had to eat with spoons. My husband spoke to the manager on the phone and was not impressed by his response of "well it was busy over the weekend". The worst subway experience I have every had will never go back. read more

They always did a great job with the subs, and all the employees were cool and personable. Especially the manager, I think his name is Jay. Something about the location itself is also really... inviting. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I loved going in there. The reason I don't still go to this one is because I recently moved halfway across the country. I think they were sad to see me go, I'm pretty sure I was their best customer. :) This one's not far from the lilac mall. Go to this one instead. read more

Made the mistake of stopping in at this subway. I order 3 sub's one was a turkey and black forest ham, a cold cut combo and lastly a cheasy bread Italian all with the fixings. When I got home to my surprise the Italian had no meat. So I called them and talked to one one the young ladies that worked there and to my surprise she remembered me. I asked her why I didn't have any meat on the Italian she replied " we have many kinds of Italians". Now at this point I knew the conversation wasn't gonna go anywhere and hung up. I guess I learned something today that Italians don't come with meat any more. Avoid this store at all cost unless you fancy a French Italian. read more
