Showed up at 12:08am, sat in the drive thru fro over ten minutes before even placing the order and didn't get to the window until 12:28am. The vehicle in front of me had ordered and paid and five minutes in just drove away with out food if that tells you anything. When I got to the window expecting to pay they hadn't even started my order, I believe the owner came to the window and didn't even know how to punch in my order on his own computer system. There were two employees I could see thru the window whom were sneaking around in the back because they didn't want to be seen. Both were also coughing and cleaning their hands/nails with no gloves on and then handling food - pretty damn pathetic, I didn't plan on eating the food anymore at that point but for the sake of this review I figured I would stick around and see how long it took to get my order. I'm honestly beyond words about my experience, thankfully my meal was only ten bucks and a valuable lesson for my time. I got home contemplated whether to open my order before throwing it out and rest assured the food quality and preparation is beyond words/lacking - how do you let something go out like that, as an owner you should be ashamed of your yourself and your employees business practices pride of ownership is everything. I'm glad that I took the chance and got my drinks at a different McDonald's. During my stay in Steinbach, I did visit this restaurant twice. Both times were through the drive-thru. I first got a medium iced oat coffee through the McDonald's app. It was $1. I liked changing things up, as I'm not a regular coffee drinker. However, I do enjoy iced coffee, especially when I can get oat beverage in it. I fetched my drink in the morning before heading into Winnipeg. I got a nice woman at the drive-thru. I provided my order code. She found it and said that I could proceed to the next window. She was cheerful. She gave me my drink. I thanked her and continued westbound. I loved my iced coffee. It was cold. It's wasn't too sweet. It was enjoyable to sip during my drive. On my second visit, I got a large Diet Coke. I also ordered it through the app, but was heading back to the hotel after a nice day in Winnipeg. I got a different female staffer. She was nice. It was the same drill. I gave her my order code. She took our order, then it took over 20 minutes to get our food AND our drinks, and drinks were forgotten and we weren't given straws. When our food arrived, we weren't given silverware, and only then could we ask for the things that were forgotten. We watched her go to other tables around ours and check on them and clear their tables as well. I'm not sure if this part is normal-- but when we got our checks, we weren't given any sort of writing utensil to fill out the merchant copy of the receipts.
