There was a table of eight ladies in the back playing Pinochle and a group of locals at the bar enjoying fresh-made pizza. Our server was very attentive and the owner checked in on each table. The inside is decorated very cute, and the views of the countryside are beautiful. The menu is small and diner-like, but it offers a nice variety. I had the roast beef sandwich -- simple, but the meat was very good. I also had a side of coleslaw that tasted freshly made with no preservatives. The only downside for me was that they did not have fresh brewed iced tea, so I stuck with the water I brought in. If you are ever passing through, I would definitely recommend stopping in for a meal.

Decent rest rooms but my 12-pack was $3 more here than Sheetz. That's what you call paying for the convenience and minus one star for overpriced beer. Hit and miss, just like some guys at the urinals. ;) If we need to pee and grab a beverage or two, this is the spot. Otherwise, the Dorrance rest area is just a little farther north on 81-N.

The food is always fresh, tasty, and ideally packaged for carryout. We especially like your guacamole and always order a side or two of it. The combo meals are always a bargain and good for sharing. Tonight I ordered the Mexican pizza combo. Delicious Mexican pizza! Crispy tortilla shells filled (stuffed full) and topped just right. We shared a root beer--fountain beverages always add to our meal! And we had 2 crunchy beef tacos. You lost a star for having sour cream on the 2 tacos. I specifically stated no sour cream when ordering, and I asked for it on the side only. One of us eats sour cream and the other doesn't. I could not eat an entire taco because of the abundance of sour cream. Please pay close attention to special requests. I tried it is when it first opened... When the lines were ridiculous (shows how much we need more decent restaurants here)... and was unimpressed. I was starving after a late night workout and, it being one of the very few places open so late, I'd give it another shot. I didn't want them to cool off so within 2 minutes of being handed the box (they handed me just a freaking Styrofoam box... no bag), I opened it... Saw 3 small and unimpressive looking chicken fingers... Not particularly hot... Not at all crispy. Dipped one in the pittifully bland (greasy feeling) sauce and ... "WTH.... this tastes like... NOTHING." Bland as hell. I took the others home and put so much seasoning on them I swear the seasoning weighed more than the chicken itself. Why can't we have a Dave's Hot Chicken around here? That chicken is a flavor explosion! KFC puts Cane's to shame and is consistently crispy and flavorful. Chik Fil a is also superior. Canes? Nursing Homes have a competitor in Trexlertown.
