I'm going to be honest. I've never really been a fan of Subway, but here's a review. The turkey sandwich was very bland, but the vegetables and mayonnaise saved the completely stale bread and tasteless Safeway. The car broke down, so I walked there as an emergency because I couldn't communicate with anything delivery-wise. Service was fine. It was really fast, which was so good this survives with 3 stars. I was super hungry and hadn't eaten all day, so I was glad the sandwiches were served in a timely manner. Ambiance...it's a Subway. I don't have too many words for this, other than there were some slight "mystery stains" on the floors. In any case other than an emergency, I don't see myself coming back. Very disappointed! Ordered two sandwiches online. Same BMT sandwich with different add-ons for each. We got two of the very same sandwich. We asked for the sauces to be put on the side for each sandwich. The problem: one of the eaters is VERY VERY allergic to bell peppers. They cannot eat ANYTHING that has been touched by a bell pepper. So the picnic at the lake turns out that this person has NOTHING TO EAT!! To add to the misery, we got no sauces at all! We have eaten here several times and never noticed it being as dirty as we did today. The drink station was beyond gross, so you can imagine what the restroom looked like. Several tables that had not been wiped off. It was not busy at the time, so they could have cleaned up. I will have to think twice about stopping here again. read more

Subway is good when you can use the BOGO coupons. Really pricey if not but that last 3 times I've ordered online from this Subway and left a tip, when I went in to pick my order up there was no "hello" or any other type of greeting let alone a thank you for the tip so going forward I will never be tipping here again. read more

Went in, place is clean, little busy since it's about lunch time. Our turn came up after a very short wait. No problem waiting ever. However, the 1 guy working there was so slow, it took over 20 min to get 2 sandwiches and 2 pizzas made, when it was our turn. He even had to remake one because he put the wrong meat on. Still, if he's new OK not a problem. We get that. But the manager that came out a couple times and saw the line forming behind us and seeing dude needing help should have actually helped. This Subway is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST one we've ever been to. The manager says he came from a "very large store in Sierra Vista" and he "enjoyed a larger, busier store" than this one! He can't manage this one the size it is. Chip rack is out of most chips, soda out, rest room filthy and yet employees are standing around with their thumbs you know where! There aren't a lot of options in Heber/Overgaard, AZ and this place should be killing it but never will under this guys management and I use that term lightly. Bright side is it will be quicker meeting my weight loss goals. Recommend waiting till you get to either Payson or Showlow, depending on which way you are traveling! read more

It's rare to give a Subway a bad review, but I received such poor service that I felt obligated to review this location. There were two workers there at the time and the girl proceeded to boss the young man around and let him do all the work. I asked his if it was his manager, and he said no, so there was really no reason for it. I don't need to get into the details, but I won't be back. The same male employee who I had problems with about a year ago (Ethan) , who was rude, ignorant and overcharged me, was working there today. I guess he's manager. He is terrible at his job. I stood right there and explained to his female employee making my sandwich, that she needs to dispose of the brown and red iceberg lettuce. She made excuses. I stated I hold a county health dept. Kitchen Mgr. Card and I am telling you it is spoiled and will make people sick. She ignored me, continued to wrap one of my sandwiches with that bad lettuce and failed to listen. I called the store after leaving and asked for the owner's contact info. She refused and said she would call him right away to have him call me. 20 minutes later, I called second time and now Ethan answered. I asked for the owner's contact info, he refused, then spoke to the female employee saying, "It's the same guy again" then hung up the phone on me. I had to contact the owner Nolan at his place of employment and now am awaiting his return call. Mean time, how many people will be sickened by these idiots who are reckless and careless? Yes, I have the health dept card, but it's expired and from another county. It's still not right they ignored me. I have as much right as any paying customer without having to pull college documentation of education in serv safe and restaurant management. This is pathetic! These employees are sinking the ship and seem really eager to do so, like ignorant individuals who brag about how uneducated they are, but laughing when confronted by someone with actual degree in food service and sanitary operations as myself. I despise ignorant and arrogant people who are the ruin of otherwise successful operations. In the Navy, we called them shit birds and they did not last a long time, but either got discharged or got their ass in line very quickly. It's memorial weekend, Sunday evening and I called the Subway in Heber-Overgaard to check their hours, the automated message on their phone gives the hours for each day of operation, it states that these are winter hours ( memorial weekend is in winter, wow I didn't realize that) It clearly states they close at 8:00 pm on Sunday. I arrived at the store at 7:12 pm and the door was locked, the hours listed on the door stated they close at 7:00 pm on Sunday! If you are going to use an automated message instead of a live person to answer your business phone the LEAST you could do is keep it updated with the correct information, especially your days and hours of operation! read more

2 employees behind the counter, order my sandwich, only to find that the bread I wanted was just taken out of the oven. I was informed it was to hot to slice. I told them I would wait. 15 minutes and 4 customers later I walk back up to the counter to check. They told me it still wasn't cool enough but they would try. The sandwich was made to my satisfaction,and the bread was firm and cold. The coke machine was out of syrup for Diet Coke, my wife informed them and nothing was done the whole time we where there. I tried to order the spicy Italian foot long sandwich which the website says is 4.99 but the guy at the counter said it was 6.99 that is their price and they are not moving. I tried again the week after bringing in the add and he said no it was 6.99. Never mind, I will make my own sandwich for that price. Subway you need to speak with your franchisee. read more

This subway had terrible service. Went in with a crowd and asked if they could mark our sandwiches to avoid confusion and if they could be placed in separate bags but the older man shoved all our sandwiches in 1 bag and did not mark any. When I was going to pay he quickly pulled the tip jar towards him as if I was going to take their chump change. Very rude customer service, and would not accept my $100 bill when my bill came to over $50 with the excuse that my bill could be fake without checking it. This was the only semi fast food place open late. I came in here, there was only one worker who was very quiet, not friendly, and was fast. The meat on one of the sandwiches was a very Small portion.
