After every high school football and basketball game, this place was packed. They were one of the first pizza places to open up for lunch. It's not just the nostalgia, it's really good pizza. Since moving away, I've introduced Pizza Post to several friends on trips back or when they've traveled thru Norwalk or when I've brought an unbaked pizza home to Cleveland and made it for a gathering. Everyone has LOVED it. If there is such a thing as a "Norwalk Style" pizza this is it. It's a thinner crusted pizza with ample delicious sauce and perfectly melted cheese. The largest size is cut into the familiar square pieces of childhood. Served hot, it's one of the greatest food joys in life. The spaghetti sauce is from the recipes of another Norwalk favorite, Joseppi's, a now defunct Italian restaurant from the 70's. And, make sure to get an order of garlic bread either with or without cheese and you'll be thrilled. I've tried A LOT of pizza and Pizza Post pepperoni pizza is still my favorite. Other pizzas I've had were good and even great, but if I could only have one kind of pizza for the rest of my life, it would be Pizza Post.

The pulled pork was stringy, crispy, and dry. The brisket was cut into pieces that reminds me of burnt ends. Was also very dry. I used a ton of sauce on the pork and brisket to make up for the dryness in the meat. When I ordered smoked chicken I didn't know it was going to be pulled chicken. That should be spelled out on the menu. The chicken was cooked perfect. Tender, moist and well seasoned. The smoke on all the meat has a burnt smoke taste. In a bad way.
