I skip the nacho cheese. The taco is what it is. Mostly lettuce and cheese, little ground beef again. A good selection of sodas.... I come from the land of Taco Bell headquarter, Irvine, CA. Their foods are the same everywhere. The headquarter is moving out of California. The cost of living is simply too high in SoCal. The housing and salaries are too high. Taco Bell is not simply the only one leaving, so is In N Out, which does a great business. However, no sense in paying the cost of being in SoCal. In N Out is going to Tennessee. They are building a new food and meat processing center there. Expect to see In N Out in the Mid-West soon. Ray out.

When I showed up some…read moreof the staff were outside having a smoke break and it felt like I was intruding on their time. It definitely hit home when I walked inside to order and eat due to the fact that they were in the middle of a scrub down of the floor. Half the floor was basically off limits as it was covered with soapy water and tossed about floormats. I didn't let that stop me. I went to the counter and ordered what I usually get. The lady who waited on me had great customer service. She was very upbeat and a bit chatty. Once my order was in I went to get my drink. By the time I got my drink and some napkins my food was ready for me. The food was the norm. Filling and ready to kick me in the gut later. I'm so confused as to why if I am eating in house I didn't get my food on a tray. Instead it was in a bag like they were trying to give me a hint to take my show on the road. Once I did finish, and the place was empty, I went out to my car. The place felt devoid of people. That was because it was time for another smoke break.

That being said, my husband and I were on the road for hours, skipped breakfast, and needed gas. We thought, "Might as well stop here and get gas and lunch." Jesus. This place was a clusterf***. Lines filled with the elderly trying to make sense of the self-serve kiosk. Workers moving at half the speed of smell. When we finally got our order we were #36. A lady yells, "Number 20!" And my husband and I exchange a glance knowing we fudged up by being here. 20-25 minutes later, our number is called. The burger was fresh and hot seeing as they were probably butchering the cow as we waited. The onion rings were lukewarm and tasted like middle school depression. We left, vowing never to come to this location again.

The building itself has been spruced up a bit on the outside to give it that up-to-date look and a new paint job. But what is unique about this place is that they didn't do a total tear down like other locations. Instead they did an update on the inside, but kept the play area, which is a rarity now. My most recent trip I did not partake in dining in. I used the drive thru and took my food to go. I do my usual order for one of these places. The staff were polite and upbeat. The ordering process was swift. Surprisingly my order was correct. I am always worried about this when I go through the drive thru. But this time I was given exactly what I ordered and didn't have to scowl as I ate what I was given. For a piece of updated nostalgia, this place has remained consistent.
