I go inside and the girl behind the counter (not the one making the sandwiches) is on her phone talking to someone about what streaming service she was going to pay for or something like that. When I went to order she kept being rude and cutting me off. I went and got a drink from the machine and it tasted like the carbonation had run out. I would have brought it up to the girl but her conversation was apparently the most important thing in the world at the time. I got my sandwich shortly after and before I could walk away with it the girl making the sandwich needed it back because she "forgot something". Apparently what she forgot was to drown my sandwich in bbq sauce making it completely inedible. I can only assume this stems from a problem a lot of businesses are having where they hire young workers and then proceed to not hold them accountable for basic rules of business like customer service. I'll just go to one of the many other sandwich places from now on. It's a shame how bad this place has gone.

Today was my second time going to this location (third time EVER going to any Jersey Mike's), and I again had a good experience that I think is worth noting. Yes, Jersey Mike's is a little pricey, but the food is amazing with even better service. I walked in there wanting to get something different from what I got last week, and the girl who took my order was so helpful and offered a specific sandwich that fit my mood. While they were making my sandwich, the staff was eager to answer questions and was prepared to give suggestions concerning, in this case, the pepper relish (which was great!). "Oh yeah that's really good and would go well with mayonnaise." She was right! Again, I don't know if Jersey Mike's is new to Starkville, but this place is amazing and my new favorite place to get a sandwich (former fave was Jimmy John's). Their customer service is impressive and the reason for this review. I'll be stopping by consistently this semester in hopes that they maintain their high standards.

It lacks greasyness offering a proportionate amount of toppings and condiments, hot, cooked & seasoned. This would be the most flavorful drive thru burger enjoyed to date. Jumping jack fries, are the most unique flavor combination yet in addition to ranch I've ever seen offered. When it comes to dessert I would recommend the apple pies over their next door competitors as Bumpers has additional cinnamon to them & are more moist. Their ice cream machine works which would make customers migrate to Bumpers next door for their sweet tooth fix. The dessert menu offers a better variety compared to their competitors. Future visits are anticipated on my next road trips.
