I have no idea how he did that. The coffee at Panera Bread is outstanding; always hot, bold, flavorful, and with the right accompaniments, including Skim Milk. Unfortunately, the pastry at Panera Bread is not good. I don't remember how long Panera has been serving Par-Baked pastry, but the Par-Baked pastry are bad; they look good, but their taste and texture are terrible. Most decent bakeries put Panera's pastry to shame; Panera's bagels are awful, in the same league as Dunkin's hockey puck bagels, just awful. The salads and sandwiches at Panera are pretty good, but, expensive.
