During the day, everything is fine -- friendly staff, decent quality, and what you expect from DQ. But once night falls, it's a completely different story. The service slows to a crawl, the staff jokes around while the drive-through line piles up, and it feels like no one cares as closing time gets closer. My most recent visit was the last straw. I stopped by for something simple -- a Misty Slush -- because I didn't have time to get to the other location. How hard can that be, right? Wrong. It came out as mostly liquid with barely any ice. When I politely asked if they could fix it, the guy at the window told me "that's how they're made." I mentioned that when I get them during the day, they're perfectly slushy, and he said I must be confused. He took it back to "remake" it, but I watched him just walk behind the wall and come right back with the same cup -- same watery mess -- saying, "See, that's how it comes out. Sorry." That pretty much sums up the nighttime crew's attitude: sorry, not sorry. Such a shame because this DQ could be great if the night shift cared half as much as the day crew. Do better, DQ.
