In fact, he keeps talking about the full English breakfast and wants it again lol Full Veggie 10/10 with scrambled eggs veggie meat 2 pieces of toast This was sooo yummy! I ate the veggie meal with eggs, toast, hash browns, backed beans, veggie sausage, and avocado. It was so good! I loved the hash browns and baked beans. Baked beans sound so weird to me to have for breakfast! But it was delightful. Very berry smoothie to go (had to catch our flight, so I took this to go!) My smoothie was delicious! Since it was made with raspberries, it has little seeds in it. Which I didn't care for, but it's unavoidable with the raspberries.

I arrived at Gatwick Airport at dinner time and thought I would try Giraffe. It is a cute…read morerestaurant on the second floor of the main terminal entryway among a few other restaurants and shops. The hostess and my server were both very friendly and kind, especially given my jetlag-fogged brain. I had to laugh at myself that we were all speaking English, but with the hostess' heavy Scottish accent and the server's Irish one, I actually had trouble understanding at first until I re-tuned my ears! Haha. I ordered the Japanese Katsu Curry Chicken bowl. The chicken and other ingredients were tossed in the wok along with noodles and the noodles had a pleasant almost "grilled" like taste. It was very tasty (not spicy at all) and a perfect-sized portion to satisfy my hunger before I crashed for the evening.

Arriving to Gatwick recently to take my flight back, the wife and i decided to grab breakfast somewhere in the airport before heading back to Los Angeles. I happened to see a few restaurants out of the corner of my eye just before security and glad we walked into Giraffe. It's hard to miss. Very colorful and bright. We were so hungry that they could have served stale bread and old pot roast and we would have probably chosen the restaurant. Fortunately, the menu was fairly expansive and included my fave breakfast food: pancakes. We were served our tea pretty quickly which we needed as we probably looked like a couple of zombies. I ordered the Strawberry pancakes. The wife took the recommendation of the server for the hash. Apparently not spicy according to the server. Apparently spicy according to the wife. Service was faster than two shakes of a lamb's tail. It gave us time to really relax after we ate before heading to security. For airport food, it was pretty good. Especially for breakfast!

Ordering is digital (QR code) and fairly simple. Service was fast but not friendly. Food is good quality and they have a good offering of non-soda soft drinks (eg Kombucha).

Finally, before a 10+ hour flight to LA, I needed a big meal so Nando's was perfect. I like that they are very sensitive to allergies by asking if we have any as they seat you. Even though it was breakfast time, I really wanted to try what they are known for so I ordered a half chicken with medium spice and chose regular rice for my side. I also ordered a side of Halloumi (fried cheese) which I recently discovered while in London. I had a Galao (a hot drink from Portugal made by adding foamed milk to espresso coffee. Similar to caffè latte or café au lait) to finish it all off. I really enjoyed the chicken as it was very tender and fell right off the bone with little effort. I love that they have all their sauce varieties at a sauce bar so you can sample multiple flavors. The medium spice level was perfect for me with just a bit of heat. The rice was a nice complement to tame the spiciness and the Halloumi cheese was a great side. Overall, I really like Nando's and will keep an eye out for one in the Seattle area to try. Thanks!

I also asked for lebnah on the platter and they were nice enough to let me try some too. The baba ghannouj was outstanding, such a nice smoky flavor. The hummus is smooth, simple tasting, and is a reminder how much superior hummus can be compared to store bought. Very balanced tabbouleh salad which is hard to do! Falafel was great too... Can't believe anyone would rate this anything other than 5. Also very nice waitstaff. I may "miss" my flight so I can have dinner here too.

First tip is to make sure you leave plenty of time to get here - for my 7pm flight I had to leave Farringdon at 4 (train at 415pm) and still only got through security at 550pm... So a quick decision was to be made and I chose CL. First off I went here when they first opened in Manchester last year and it was ok but a bit meh. Saying that this time I thought I'd give it another crack as I really fancied some tasty Middle Eastern food and something healthy. And yeah - 4 stars - a good choice! Highlights were the Baba Ganush, the Lamb Kofta and the iced rose mint tea (perfect to refresh after dashing across town all afternoon) - very friendly staff and good service - I'd happily visit again (and their Manchester branch now)
