A large and very busy branch of the eponymous sandwich chain, serving the familiar range of sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups, and beverages.
It's unusually spacious for Pret: the single large room has a seating area to the left, and two queuing areas to the right (the counter has eight tills). Service is usually pretty good, despite the fact it's often very busy indeed at lunchtime.
It loses a star for me as it's not really a place to linger - and the outside seating is particularly unpleasant as the pavement is narrow, very busy - and it's on a very busy road. Who wants to eat a sandwich while being jostled by passers by and breathing traffic fumes? They'd be better off not bothering. read more
