I didn't get any coffee or tea at this location, but grabbed a hot falafel and tomato wrap as well as a muesli cup. It was a good quick meal, as I was short on time. Though service was fine, there were a few cons. 1. The seating area could've been cleaner, it wasn't busy or crowded inside. 2. No bathrooms inside. A customer in front of me asked for the bathroom code and the cashier said there are no bathrooms. What? There is definitely seating for at least 40 people inside and there isn't a bathroom? This location had plenty of seating and quick service but no restrooms. It's located right next to a Cafe Nero though! We tried the Italian-Style Chicken and Basil Hot Wrap, a toastie (like a grilled cheese), and a Kale and Cauliflower Mac N Cheese. Absolutely rude staff who don't know how to accommodate to customers with different needs

Pret A Mangers are a godsend! This location particularly is awesome! The staff was super courteous to me and gave me a rundown of the area when I asked (lame tourist here). The view from outside is amazing as well since you can see all of Trafalgar Square while enjoying a meal or coffee/tea. It's a great place to stop for a meal. I had the sushi and it was quite decent! Not something that will blow you away, but they certainly got the flavors and mix of veggies right. The ginger was on point and the salmon was light and nicely salted with an awesome fresh lemon. The rice balls were surprisingly good! If you're nearby, definitely grab a bite here. It's a must stop in my opinion since it has a great view of Trafalgar Square. read more

Okay, while this is a chain store, it is one of those chain stores that you only find in England, which is why I am reviewing it (I generally don't bother with Hungry Jacks or McDonalds). As the name implies, it is a place where you purchase pre-packaged food, namely for lunch. I personally can't think of an equivalent in Australia - I could say 7-11, but 7-11 is a takeaway store, and from what I can remember you can sit in here and eat. Staying in a hotel just off Trafalgar Sq. we hit up this location several times while in town. As others have stated I wish we had something like this in the states. Well, we kind of do if you count 9 day old prepackaged ham and cheese sandwiches at a gas station but Pret A Manger is none of that. Delicious, fresh, convenient, quick, and for this town, cheap is how I would describe them. We popped in to get breakfast, picked up a few items before hopping on the tube for a long ride north of town and even got some take-away items for dinner when eating out got old. Pret A Manger is a cutesy little place that has coffee, sandwiches, and other little snacks for busy Londoners on the go. The prices are very reasonable (for London standards that is) and it's great for something quick. I stopped in to get some change and picked up a snack bar to try. I was only planning on getting one but since I had trouble deciding, the cashier gave me one on the house! Whatta nice guy. I've also had a hot cup of coffee and it was great since it was pouring rain outside. 5 stars just for the gorgeous view of Trafalgar Square from here!!! We had lunch here before going to The National Gallery across the street. Luckily we got a window seat with a good view of the full square, the Gallery and Nelson's Column. Tried some salmon sandwiches and a vegetarian sandwich, some juice, tea etc. The sandwiches were unbelievably cheap and healthy. There's like 3 or 4 of these Pret A Manger sandwich shops in Trafalgar Square alone. Lots of fresh and healthy selections for pretty decent pricing. A Ham cheese toasted sandwich for about £3 was good enough for me to hold me over for a couple of hours. And since it's right across from the Trafalgar square, just get a seat by the window or in the patio to see all the other tourists do their thing. What a pleasant surprise! My sister and I were having a hard time finding a good/ relatively priced restaurant to eat while on our visit to London. We opted for McDonald's and Burger King but was pleasantly surprised to find how affordable and tasty pret a manger was! Too bad we found this out the last night of our stay in London!
