Pret A Manger is a sandwich shop that was first opened in London in the 1980s. It has additional locations in the United States as well as Belgium, Canada, France, Dubai, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, South Africa and Switzerland. This particular location is great because it is across the street from the Gloucester Road tube station and it was in walking distance of our hotel. They serve coffee and offer really good pastries. Went in yesterday for a latte... as always it was perfect and delicious. I did notice some Gluten free to go food as well. This morning i went and got a Roasted mushroom bean and egg protein bowl which was so tasty and super affordable. I took 2 matcha latte which left me quite disappointed... as much as i love the coffee at pret, the matcha latte looks underwhelming green water with a bit of milk to not make it trans lucid. Nice service and pretty quick. I didnt stay long, but the vibe of the shop was good and seemed busy but not overwhelming. My food, a satay wrap i believe, was alright, pretty fresh and good. I got a matcha latte however that wasn't the best. Seemed like it was made in a rush, but i still drank it so it wasn't that bad lol read more

They say first impressions last. I certainly was impressed. The staff here was terrific. I popped in here to get something to eat, and one of the employees asked me if I wanted a complimentary latte. He said they had made an extra one, but when he turned around to see if it was still available. The girl behind the counter said it was gone. The guy apologized, but I said it was okay. However, the barista said it wasn't okay since it was already offered it to me. She made me one anyway on the house! Now that's excellent customer service! As far as the food goes, the Kale and Cauliflower Mac & Cheese were super fantastic, and so was the soup! The only thing I find strange is there were two prices. One for dine in, and take away, but I guess that's how they do it in some places in Europe. read more

yes, i'm a fan! i'm finally reacquainted with my wild crayfish and rocket sandwich! (they dont have this in NYC!) the other sandwich that is not avail in NYC is the roast beef sandwich. but i did not see it in the shop this morning. maybe it's out later in the day. the delectable morsels of fresh wild crayfish was lightly moistened with mayo and tempered by fresh green slightly bitter tasting rocket leaves between malted wholegrain bread! yums. i also had the baguette with free range eggs and roasted tomatoes. the combination of texture, colour and taste here was simple but good. the double latte is as good as it gets. bitter, milky and low in acidity. small area for seating with free wifi. opens weekdays 07:30 - 18:00 and weekends 09:00 - 17:00 this outlet is very crowded. traffic going in and out all the time. i guess the location is good. near the tube and hotels around. read more

This Pret A Manger near the Glouchester Tube was a handy stop during our London vacation. We would come by in the morning, grab a couple of take away sandwiches, and be set for food during a busy day of doing our tourist thing. The sandwiches were of good quality and quite reasonable, no more than 3 or 4 pounds. My wife enjoyed their vegetarian sandwiches, especially the chutney mango spread they used. Prey is one of the best places in London. They have a variety of delicious options to choose from and everything is freshly prepared daily! My favorite item to get is the classic chicken club. It tastes so fresh and is a great sandwich to enjoy for lunch. I have also had the yogurt berry bowl which is a great starter for breakfast. There are so many options at Pret and it is convenient to those in a rush to work or school. My favorite drink is the ginger shot! I love Pret. I've been a fan since the early days. This is a very nice branch. Nicely set out for calm easy eating. The staff are professional and friendly. The food is mostly very good. I would like some more hot options and the soups are rather dull and seem to repeat themselves everywhere. But it's so trouble free and the standards are very high. For someone who comes so often, more new options would be welcome...but I still give it five stars. UPDATE: Pret A Manger now choose to play the most horrible 'Chart' pop music at all its branches at high volume, making what was a pleasant place to visit a truly wretched one. I'm taking away two stars until this is rectified. It's literally INTOLERABLE. read more

I've been here a few times and never had a bad meal, regardless if it was for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their food is always packaged well but fresh tasting. They have a wide variety of sandwiches both on sliced bread and rolls. Their pastries are delicious in the morning. The only challenge at most Prets is getting seating because it's limited. But they're popular and they tend to have small seating areas. My family and I went to Pret locations while in London in 1999 and it's great to see nothing has changed with them but the food variety. And it was also exciting to see they've migrated to New York City. I wish they were in L.A. but if I could go whenever I wanted (like Starbucks), that might take away the thrill. read more

This is London's version of Starbucks, except way better. Picture the convenience of grabbing your own cup of coffee to-go along with many different varieties of healthy food options ranging from sandwiches to bagels to salads and more. This chain is amazing. The avocado and lettuce on their sandwiches is so fresh you'd think they had just cut it for you. Not only is it tasty, but you feel great after eating it (more energized especially with the coffee). When I was in NY, this chain was poppin' as well with businessmen and women coming in here to either grab their breakfast coffee or lunch. If this was near where I work, I'd come here frequently. They have tables and chairs in the London locations for you to sit at or you can grab it and go. In the NY locations, there are only a few seats here and there and most visitors just grab and leave. 10/10 would recommend!! Please bring this to Texas. read more

I had my doubts about a premade sandwich place but was delightfully surprised by the freshness and tastiness of the sandwiches. Everyone is on the go in London, so it was perfect to grab and go before hoping in the Tube. All the sandwiches were really inexpensive, around £4. Very disappointed with the staff this morning at Pret at South Kenningston. I kindly asked if there was any sugar in the soya milk, she said no. I told her I wasn't allowed any sugar and would need to be a sugar free soya... After telling her I can't have sugar, she put chocolate on top of my coffee without asking and also found out your soya milk is FULL of sugar. Two strikes against Pret. They didn't have any sandwiches without mayo or some kind of sauce (we found this at most locations), so my friend had a hard time finding something to eat. Bummer! Then, we sat down to use the internet and for some reason neither of us could get connected. After getting our computers out and finding a place to plug in we were super bugged that we couldn't get internet to work. The one plus was that the guys working behind the counter were nice and offered to bring our drinks to our table and then offered to take our cups for us as soon as we stood up. I went to your store opposite the Gloucester Road underground station on Nov 29, 2019 at 8:15 am and ordered food and drinks to take away. One of your employees was very rude to me and literally yelled at me. I couldn't get his name as he wasn't wearing a name tag unlike other employees. A tall ( tallest among other ) African man with grey shirt. The lady serving me asked if I wanted a bag. I thought she said a box. Both of us had accents. So I politely asked if she meant a box. This guy wasn't even serving me but started yelling "A BAG !!". It made me feel very uncomfortable and this is totally unacceptable behavior. He also kept mumbling "not today, not today". And I observed him treating other customers rudely also. If he is having a bad day, that is his problem. He should not be yelling at customers. I hope you talk to them. You just lost a customer forever and might be losing more because of him. read more
