    Full English Breakfast
    Tiffany D.

This place is really pretty in terms of decor but also pretty pricey, but thanks to priority pass, I got credit for £15 per person, otherwise I'm not so sure if the food is worth it. We got the Fish and Chips and the Full English Breakfast. The food was pretty decent. Nothing too remarkable (the sausages from the english breakfast were provably my favorite thing from either dish). The portion sizes for both dishes were perfect though - not too much but also not too little. If you have priority pass, I would definitely come here because it's a lot quieter here to relax and have some coffee/tea compared to sitting out in the hectic terminal, so definitely grateful for that.

Grain Store Cafe & Bar is an upgrade from the usual airport grub. Prices are very reasonable especially for airport food . There is plenty of seating inside and cute home-y decor. I feel like I'm in a kitchen of a food network show instead of a cramped knock off taqueria. My dining/travel buddy and I split the Goat Cheese Salad and Spaghetti Broccoli Aglio E Olio. The Goat Cheese tasted and looked like Brie but it was still delicious. It was a large slice of cheese on a buttered toast surrounded with a refreshing arugula and pomegranate salad. The spaghetti was definitely a heavier dish but balanced well with the salad. Each bite of spaghetti was filled with broccoli and garlic. If only there was red pepper flakes! I'll definitely stop back in on my travels home. I'm eyeing those truffle Parmesan fries!

Stopped by waiting for our flight since it is part of the priority pass lounges where you get 15£ for you and 15£ for a guest. Was craving our last English breakfast. Food was good, not as amazing as other brunches I had during the trip but not bad for airport food. It was quick and my meal and the kids meal was more than covered by the priority pass credit. If you have time and priority pass, definitely recommend. Staff was very friendly.

Price is a bit much. Probably doubt the cost as what a dish would cost you outside of the airport. But then what doesn't cost more at the airport. $5 water anyone? Luckily for me on my discount thanks to priority pass, I had my pre lounge lunch here. If you missed out on fish and chip in the UK, this is a good final spot to try before you board. The fish is fresh and decent. Chip is a bit tiny like they are from the bottom of the fryer. Service is on point. They talk to me after I put my menu down and ready for some estella time and order a decent meal. The drive to gatwich is hell with all the construction. I was 2 minutes away from late car rental return. Price is probably my only complaint. How does a few piece of fries and a fillet of fried fish cost me $20. They better pay their staff well enough.

We are on our way to Bergen and we have a long layover In Gatwick. I was searching for some breakfast places and found this one. The ambience and music is pretty good. This cafe offers 30£ credit for 2 if you have priority pass. Coming to the food, I had avacado egg toast. It's very fresh and tasty. You can definitely visit this place. They have lot of options.

Probably one of the best airport meals I've ever had and it was still only about average. If you have the Priority Pass card, definitely use it here because you will get good food and $15 off your meal (and same for your guest as well) which essentially translates to a free meal. This place is also very eco-conscious which is super cool. I ordered the Mushroom Benedict with sourdough bread and a Pain Au Chocolat. The Benedict was decent. The mushrooms didn't feel completely cooked (little too waxy) and well seasoned and a had a weird aftertaste. They were also not very juicy at all. The poached eggs really had me disappointed. Although the hollandaise sauce was decent the eggs felt more hard-boiled than poached which is not the way it should be for Eggs Benedict dishes. This, plus the waxiness of the mushrooms, made the texture of each bite feel really weird. The best part of the dish was definitely the sourdough bread. It was extremely crispy and sour and was a great based for the eggs, hollandaise, and mushrooms. The Pain Au Chocolat was also not great - had very little chocolate in it and felt way too buttery. I don't know if it's worth it to eat here if you don't have the Priority Pass card, but you should definitely still check it out.

This restaurant was a little hard to find in the airport, but it is part of the Priority Pass network. I think it's only worth stopping by if you've got the membership. The lighting and ambience of the restaurant feels chic, a welcome escape from the crowded South terminal. I ordered the Eggs Royale. My main experience of the dish was that it was dry, even given the hollandaise sauce, which felt more like a thick cream than anything else. The salmon tasted hardly "smoked", and the English muffin felt like it had been grabbed and heated from the supermarket frozen aisle. It had a nice presentation to it, but then again, so does anything with salmon.

Came here because priority pass. My priority pass gave me and one guest the GF £15/per person to spend each. Since the lounges were all full at Gatwick had to come to this restaurant like a plebe. The decorations in here are pretty hyper modern and sleek. Of course with the this place being in an airport food prices were pretty expensive. We ended up getting a burger, fries, and an ice cream. Overall this was an average experience. I left feeling satisfied. The food here is average though, and I probably wouldn't have dined here were it not for the Priority Pass.

Freebie moment- my Priority Pass card gave me £15 allowance to spend. I got the carrot and ginger juice and mushroom Benedict. The dish was savor, hollandaise creamy, and the egg cooked well. It was filling and overall a great meal. Would come back for their other options.

I have wanted to go to the Grain Store at Granary Square Kings Cross for a while now but as I was at Gatwick Airport and looking for somewhere for a proper sit down breakfast and cocktails, as it was my birthday, we decided to check it out. It was such a painful experience and not a great start to the day. The service was terribly slow, it took us about 20 minutes to be served after receiving the menu which is not what you need in an airport, especially when they had more staff on than customers in the restaurant. I ordered an egg dish with a side of hash browns, a flat white and a champagne cocktail. The coffees came first and the lady put down a cappuccino in front of me. I explained that I had ordered a flat white (it was the same lady that took the order) and it wasn't a problem but can she bring over a flat white please. She actually said no, I was gobsmacked and she proceeded to tell me that I had definitely ordered a cappuccino. I hadn't. So I persisted, asked her to show me what she had written down (it said flat white!) and she huffed and went away returning with a flat white 15 minutes later without an apology. The food arrived extremely quickly. In what felt like 2 minutes actually! Which made me a little suspicious. The hash browns were definitely not browned....they had barely been cooked and were cold still?? The baked egg dish was actually quite tasty and was hot but just really tiny for what you pay. The champagne cocktail was really odd tasting but that serves me right for trying to order something different (a bread and mushroom cocktail!) it was done badly though. We then had to wait a good 20 minutes for the bill even after asking 3 different members of staff. I really don't know how they can get away with it in an airport restaurant. Luckily we had a few hours to kill before we had to get on our plane. Sadly it's really put me off going to the Kings Cross one now even though I've heard great things about it but if its anything like the Gatwick location I'd rather give my money to Caravan or Dishoom in the local area instead.

    Beetroot carpaccio

Gorgeous, flavourful beetroot carpaccio and gracious staff. Plus lots of USB ports for the hapless traveller! The menu is inventive, sustainable and has plenty of choice for healthy and not-too-healthy moods. I've not been to their big sister in Kings Cross but more likely to try it out now! In sum, a lovely and surpringly large oasis of calm at Gatwick :)

Don't be fooled by the long queue. This is a seemingly nice airport offshoot of the main restaurant in Kings Cross London, with entrees, a bakery, and alcoholic drinks and coffee, but my breakfast meal was very mediocre and the ones around me didn't look any better. The food here is delivered suspiciously fast (~2-5 minutes per dish). I ordered the avocado toast with poached egg from the "our specials" menu. The toast was barely toasted, the poached egg was very bad, and the "fresh" avocado wasn't tasty at all. I'd hope the main branch of this restaurant serves better food. I wouldn't bother wasting money on breakfast at this airport version, although my espresso was fine so I don't believe this to be a bad coffee/bakery option.

Grain Store Croque Madame - delicious.

Grain Store Café + Bar is now perhaps your best option for a snack at Gatwick airport. Tasty sandwiches, delicious sweet baked goods, Allpress coffee and fresh juices. This is all I need to get ready for a flight in the early morning. After stormy weather conditions threatened to delay my journey to the airport, I managed to get on an earlier train than planned and arrived well on time - just to find out my flight would be delayed. Delayed or not, I wanted to sit down somewhere, have breakfast with a decent coffee and a juice to properly wake up at this ungodly time in the morning. Wandering around the departure lounge, I saw that Grain Store opened a restaurant at Gatwick Airport and it clearly looked like the best option. They run a take-away counter and also a proper restaurant, which can be a bit confusing. Admittedly, I was a bit grumpy when the lovely French girl explained to me that I would have to order the juice at a different counter. After I sat down, before I bothered to walk over and order my grapefruit juice, she approached me and offered to get it for me. This level of service thoroughly impressed me. I had a very tasty Grain Store Croque Madame. Beautifully toasted, soft bread, fried egg, spinach and cheese. It looked nice and it tasted excellent. And was probably not more expensive than any average sandwich you get at the other airport restaurants. I was delighted to find out they serve Allpress coffee. Because I was stupid and ordered at the take-away counter, I got a take-away paper cup. My impression was that with Allpress beans you could and should do a better flat white. It was not perfect, but to be honest, I am pretty convinced that it was the best coffee I could get anywhere at the airport, so I was very happy with what I got. When I arrived ther were still free tables, but by 8:00 this place already was incredibly busy. As I had to wait a little longer at the airport anyway, I decided to start my day with something sweet as well. The strawberry muffin was moist and a real treat. As much as I dislike Gatwick Airport, stopping at Grain Store helps making this airport a little bit more enjoyable.

I got the Pesto, Mozzarella and Tomato Sandwich with Fries and a side of garlic bread. The sandwich was pretty bland - the pesto didn't have much taste and the cheese was also pretty subpar. I saw that my friend got very crispy fries so I was excited but mine ended up being pretty soggy and got cold pretty quickly. The best part of the meal was the side of garlic bread - it was crispy and easy to chew but full of flavor. Unfortunately, though, it did not come with any marinara sauce on the side so I had to make do with a spontaneous mix of ketchup and mayonnaise.
