I mean, it's a generous portion, but you'd practically have to unhinge your jaw to take a single bite! Thompson's also works as a sort of butcher shop and small grocery store, with fresh cuts of beef displayed in a cooler counter, along with some prepared dishes ready to take-and-bake at home. I was also delighted to see some products from KC Canning Company in their small grocery section. I feel like they may be trying too hard to be all things to everyone, which lessens their ability to do things really, really well. We will likely give them another try next time we visit. I hope they get their own sign up - as one side still displays the former restaurant's name. I'd advise ordering your steak medium rare. They also have a full bar featuring craft beer, wine and cocktails. Maybe a nice cocktail menu would help to draw folks in.
