I'd never been before, but the setup is kind of like Subway where you choose what you want in your sub, which I liked. I ordered a tuna sub and it was delicious, really fresh and super satisfying. Definitely hit the spot. The service was great, friendly vibes, and a couple of the staff even cracked some jokes while we were ordering, which was a nice touch. You can eat inside, but we grabbed ours to go. Only heads-up: they carry Pepsi products (I'm more of a Coke fan), but not a dealbreaker for me. While I was waiting, I watched them make a version of a steak and cheese sub and now I have to go back and try it. All in all, really glad I gave it a shot, and I'll definitely be back!

They use almost half a dozen fresh cold cuts plus cheese. I recommend asking for the Rosemary Parmesan rolls (though the Wheat is not bad either). You can get whatever toppings you want. The staff is very fast--it's amazing how quickly they can assemble a sub with all the different cold cuts they must use. It's quite labor-intensive it seems. I've visited a number of times and the staff is always nice and professional. There's been some staff turnover but the new folks are just as good as the previous ones. They all work hard and are never grumpy. The store is is big, airy and always perfectly clean. I don't remember ever seeing papers or crumbs left on any of the table when I walked in. The prices are high, but when you consider the excellent quality, the always fresh bread, and the large portions, I think it's a pretty good value. Just take home what you cannot eat there. Parking is a little tight in this strip mall, but keep in mind that you can also park on the south side.

This modern space offers a full service bar with seating on 3 sides & flatscreen TVs above, booths and table seating to the left and right of the bar and an open pizza kitchen with woodfired pizza oven in the dining area. The food menu offers a selection of starters, salads, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, meat dishes, seafood dishes, and desserts. They also offer special limited time offerings including an Oktoberfest menu. The pricing is moderate. At the time of this posting, their liquor license was still pending, so no beer, wine, and cocktails yet, but soon. I've always enjoyed the food at NYAJ for over two decades at various locations in MA and NH, which have opened and closed (or relocated) throughout the years including the former Framingham and Methuen locations. I usually go to the Nashua NH location whenever I feel like NYAJ. I stopped by NYAJ in Bedford for dinner recently on a weeknight. I decided to sit up at the bar to catch the MLB playoffs on the TVs, even though there was no alcoholic drinks being served. I was given menus to look at and offered an ice water. I decided since it was October, I would order from the special Oktoberfest menu. I ordered The Best Wurst ($17 plus tax) and the Pork Schnitzel ($24 plus tax) and was given complementary focaccia bread with oil, parmesan cheese & spices for dipping. I was given more bread after finishing my first two pieces of soft bread. Both entrees came out together in 12 minutes after ordering and the bartender said, "I hope you're hungry." There was plenty of food on each plate. The Pork Schnitzel had two large fried breaded pork cutlets pounded thin and very tender, smothered in a creamy mustard sauce, served over braised red cabbage, topped with German potato pancake. The Best Wurst had sliced grilled beer bratwurst topped with a bacon brussel sprout kraut in a thick soft toasted roll, served with a creamy potato salad and creamy mustard for dipping. The food was nicely prepared and had good flavors and was very filling. I ended up getting a to-go box and passed on dessert. The check with a 15 percent off discount (NYAJ e-coupon) with tax and before tip was $37.29. Overall, a solid good Oktoberfest dinner with leftovers and I stayed a bit to watch a few more innings of baseball.

Keep it simple, Double up, and I think you have a really great burger. Great Fries…read more I ordered the patty melts, and here, my comments: Staff: was very friendly, although some of the cooks/staff behind the counter didn't understand my English when I asked that the burger package wrapping be marked to know who's got what (one burger with jalapeños, one with green peppers, etc.) that should not have been a difficult conversation. They pointed to the receipt on the outside of the brown bag, "that's what's in your bag." Which works until you open the back and start handing out burgers. The place was clean and bright. Hamburger Meat: the quality of the hamburger meat is very good, but hard to find its taste in the Burger itself with all the cheese, toppings, etc.. The burger patties are kind of like smashed, and thin. So you're not gonna get a medium rare burger here that's thick and juicy. And that's OK cause it's a different style. Speaking of....Cheese: I would think a gourmet burger place would have more selections of cheese versus orange plastic-food-product American cheese. And they put way too much on it versus the size and thickness of the patty: and it dominates the flavor. I actually bought three Patty melts for our group and everyone complained that was hard to taste the meat behind the cheese especially. So one) provide of a larger selection of. REAL Cheese: baby swiss, provolone, cheddar, pepper jack, and not just American cheese and two) a lot less the thick and orange stuff, because the patties are pretty thin and get lost behind it (a grilled cheese sandwich with a little hambugrr meat). Topping: they advertise " grilled mushrooms" but I didn't see any grilling on them. It's like they just opened up a can of sliced mushrooms stored in water and took them out. Same for the onions: they said "grilled onions" but they were diced and only about maybe 3/8 of an inch square and wet, like they similarly just came out of a bag of chopped onions: nothing grilled there. So I would definitely skip those two next time, since they're extra cost. I thought the quantity of green peppers wasn't sufficient to warrant the price, nor the jalapeños. Buns: good fresh and nicely toasted on the grill itself.. Fries: I got the Cajun fries. And there was lots of it. And that was perfection! I think they had the seasoning just right--to be just a little spicy, but not overpowering. I really liked those. It was hard to stop eating them! Onion rings: No, they don't have rings. And for a upper class hamburger place: they really should. I mean, they got shakes too after all. Price: not the worst for a custom burger place. Summary: I think the best experience here would be a double patty with just some lettuce and tomato and pickles if you choose. And get rid of all the other stuff and definitely no thick orange cheese food product. Two of the three people in my group said they would not go back because they couldn't taste the hamburger patty because it was so thin, and even finding their minimal amount of toppings--and cheese-- distracting. One was constantly saying that their own burgers they make are better than this. OK. I personally liked mine, but again the good hamburger meat got lost in all the orange stuff and topping that weren't "grilled." So I'm gonna go back and keep it simple next time. RECOMMENDATION: give it a try and see what you think.
