Very good for a Subway. The chef spoke English and the bread was fresh. The town is small, so no crowds here.

Location: In the village. You're best off walking…read more The place: Small, casual restaurant with a handful of tables. I'd say this is more of a take-out place. We stopped in at a random hour and were able to get a table. The goods: Very basic food. We ordered the shrimp guédille and while fresh, it lacked flavour. There was no seasoning whatsoever. The hot dog bun was toasted but I don't think anything was added to it. The fries were frozen. The meal was OK but honestly, there are better places to go to. Portions were small. Service: Very friendly. Price point: STEEP. It cost $30 for two people. Very overpriced for what you get.

This place gets 3.5 stars…read more Cod Cakes Gaspasie style were basically bacalao croquettes. They were great & came with a yummy courgette relish. They were denser than Spanish croquettes (which have a bechamel filling). Club sandwich with lobster was good. There was quite a lot of lobster & it was fresh. The fries were decent: a touch undersalted but there was salt at the table (not all restaurants with undersalted fries have that). Bouillabaisse was stronger than the French version. It came with cheese, spicy mayo & buttered toast. The toast was a bit old but otherwise everything was good. The scallops were huge & there was tons of shrimp. Maple syrup tart was a tart with maple syrup on top. It was microwaved so it was too hot. That said, it tasted good. The crumb good - short - on the edges but the centre was a bit soft.

Very busy place and yet multiple staff acknowledged our waiting by the entrance and apologized…read more Once we got seated ( there were 4 of us ) we got our orders taken and served very quickly. Three of us had the sandwich that came with a couscous salad and I had the smoked salmon pasta. There were all delicious and all had their own signature uniqueness. The server had to switch between French and English with different table and they were superb!

The food though is meh, especially at those prices. Went here for breakfast and got: - Grilled Cheese: They used brie which I guess complemented the glazed pecans, but I personally would have wanted a sharper cheese. Also couldn't really taste the chopped apples which, if sweeter, would've definitely made this better. - Smoked Salmon Bagel: Good quality salmon with a generous enough serving. Yowza though at that price. If you're willing to pay up for the view, the vibe and the great service, this is a good spot. If all you care about is how good the food tastes and how much it costs, well, hopefully you see things differently than I do.

This boulangerie is a hidden gem. They get 4.5 stars…read more Broccoli Cauliflower salad was pretty good. The vegetables were firm & the dressing was decently zesty. Bostock was brioche with almonds. It was good: moist with a rich, good almond flavour. Triple chocolate cookie was good too: crisp with a rich crumb. Surprisingly for a boulangerie in a small town, they had bahn mi & tempeh.

The grilled steak sandwich was very good as was the latte. Unfortunately, despite it being a bakery, the chocolate croissant tasted like a day old one which was unfortunate. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a small parking lot next to the shop. Prices are pretty reasonable for what you get (sandwich wise), but the lattes were a bit expensive considering the size (paid for large which is $4 but it seemed more like a medium). All in all though I would recommend it and would go back if I was ever in the area.
