Not sure why this place has a low Yelp rating. Stopped here for lunch, and my wife declared her lobster club sandwich one of the best meals on our trip. I had the fish and chips, also very good. Fish seemed very fresh. Both served with small salad and fries. She had a Quebec white wine, also declared a winner. Friendly service. Ate outside on lovely.

Been on a road trip in the Gaspe region and this was a welcome stop. Arrived at 5:30pm for an early dinner and was quickly seated. Service was friendly and efficient, even if we can't speak French. Looked at the menu and were happy to see non-fried dishes. Hooray! We got: - Bouillabaisse Gaspesienne: Gaspe historically is know for its cod, so was happy to have a lot of huge chunks of it (along with lots of shrimp and salmon) in the stew. There was so much seafood in the stew that it was almost worth the steep $40 price tag. Almost. Guess that's the privilege of being one of the few restaurants in the area. Oof. - Coquille Aux Fruits De Mer: Yep, these Quebecois know how to use cheese in their dishes. The scalloped potatoes were firm yet tender, the shrimps were well cooked though would have wanted a bit more. But the cheese was the easy standout - creamy, melted-stringy, tasty. Oh, and the side salad was good too, with the tomatoes being fresh and plump. Not that there's a lot of competition, but even if there were, I really enjoyed Brise-Bise and would recommend it if you were in the area.

Deer tartare

I was told this was the best restaurant in gaspe. The line to get in reflects this. Expect a wait in every aspect of your visit. The place has nice loud ambience. A window seat gives you great river views. The food is decent. I had the table du hote menu which was a set 3 course meal. My deer tartare was fabulous. Generous portion and fresh. It could of used 1 more peice of bread so I didnt have to slather so much on 1 peice. The shrimp poutine is famous here. But I ended up getting the lobster sandwich instead. The lobster was fresh and generous but the mediocre plain bread ruined the sandwich for me. The key lime pie was great and was so refreshing! It is an experience that I'm pretty sure every tourist does in the gaspe. Expect to be with all the tourists in town and not many locals if that's you're vibe. The food was decent but hardly memorable. The bar staff was great, friendly and totally fun!

Brise-Bise has an excellent location and view inside. I was just glad that it is still opened during COVID-19, and they do a great job on protection! Plus I was really amazed by the club sandwich, I would absolutely go again for it.

We ended up going to Brise Bise twice during our three days in Gaspe. The first was just for a coffee and dessert and the second time was for dinner. FOOD I have to say I enjoyed the food I tried. For dinner, we split the 'shrimp' poutine as an appetizer though I can't remember the main dish I ordered. I do remember portions being small for the price. The beer was also pretty good. SERVICE The service during both our visits was slow but comparable to service elsewhere is Gaspesie. VALUE Due to the portion sizes, I have to say Brise Bise is pretty pricey. A split appetizer, two main dishes and two beers was over $80 with tip. For 'pub' food, that's a little much. OTHER - RESERVATIONS? During summer, this seems to be quite the popular spot as both nights we were there the place was pretty packed. Even arriving early for dinner, we couldn't get a seat in the restaurant and had to go to the lower level patio to grab a spot. As such, be prepared to eat early or late if you want to try it out. --- All in all, I would go back if I were in town but just be prepared for a wait and to spend a bit more money than you might think.

After 9 hours drive from Quebec City, we finally arrived in Gaspe, and this was the first restaurant we visited. The waiting line was long (around 30 mins), but the mussels were fantastic! I recommend this place to all the seafood lovers

Wow! THE BEST meal of my life! Make reservations well ahead of your visit! We booked about a week…read moreahead on a Wednesday and could only get in at 9:15pm. We had the cod tongues (which are actually throat meat) deep fried with sea urchin butter. Delicious, tender and rich with flavour. I had the Trident: maple grilled salmon, whiskey & raisin seared scallops and lobster in Noroi orange liqueur and a cream sauce with lobster risotto and veggies. Everything was so tasty! Highly recommended! The restaurant was busy and full of life. Our server was very attentive and helpful. If you're in Percé you need to check it out.

This is probably one of the best restaurant with its service, location, scenery and seafood in the…read moreregion. I was disappointed by the food in the region which were very overpriced, small portion and taste being bad. Yet this restaurant is the exception, exceptionally good. The place was busy, we are walk in customer at the time it opens for the day. Reserved tables already have a line up, and the walk in customers also lined up. Eventually, we couldn't get a table, but was arranged with a reservation 1 hour later. The town has lot of gift shops which the time flew and we got in before we got hungry. The service was awesome and attentive. Very friendly staffs and always being helpful. We ordered appetizers and our main meals. We were excited as the reviews and photos all looked great. The fish soup was full of fresh seafood ingredients, a bit too salty and it reminded me of some Asian styled fish soup. But overall not too bad a way to try the local seafood and fishes. The octopus and hummus was not a supreme appetizer as well. As I compared to the octopus I had in Portugal which cooked tender and tasty. Even compared to the octopus I used to get from Costco was more tender as well. However, the mix of hummus to the dish was good, and the hummus was really good! What shine was the main dishes. The lobster was fresh and the lobster risotto was tasty. I wished there were more risotto. The seafood pasta however outshine everything. The pasta cooked Al dente, the sauce was full of seafood flavor and mixed perfectly together. The tiramisu as a finish was too sweet and a bit soggy. But overall a very good experience and probably the best seafood restaurant in the region considering the ingredients, taste, service, restaurant ambiance and price.
