We had the cod tongues (which are actually throat meat) deep fried with sea urchin butter. Delicious, tender and rich with flavour. I had the Trident: maple grilled salmon, whiskey & raisin seared scallops and lobster in Noroi orange liqueur and a cream sauce with lobster risotto and veggies. Everything was so tasty! This is probably one of the best restaurant with its service, location, scenery and seafood in the region. I was disappointed by the food in the region which were very overpriced, small portion and taste being bad. Yet this restaurant is the exception, exceptionally good. The place was busy, we are walk in customer at the time it opens for the day. Reserved tables already have a line up, and the walk in customers also lined up. Eventually, we couldn't get a table, but was arranged with a reservation 1 hour later. The town has lot of gift shops which the time flew and we got in before we got hungry. The service was awesome and attentive. Very friendly staffs and always being helpful. We ordered appetizers and our main meals. We were excited as the reviews and photos all looked great. The fish soup was full of fresh seafood ingredients, a bit too salty and it reminded me of some Asian styled fish soup. But overall not too bad a way to try the local seafood and fishes. The octopus and hummus was not a supreme appetizer as well. As I compared to the octopus I had in Portugal which cooked tender and tasty. Even compared to the octopus I used to get from Costco was more tender as well. However, the mix of hummus to the dish was good, and the hummus was really good! What shine was the main dishes. The lobster was fresh and the lobster risotto was tasty. I wished there were more risotto. The seafood pasta however outshine everything. The pasta cooked Al dente, the sauce was full of seafood flavor and mixed perfectly together. The tiramisu as a finish was too sweet and a bit soggy. But overall a very good experience and probably the best seafood restaurant in the region considering the ingredients, taste, service, restaurant ambiance and price. read more

Location: In the heart of Percé - right by the boardwalk. If you're staying in the area then odds are you're within walking distance. The place: It's quite spacious with ample seating indoors and a large veranda/terrace. The vibe is cozy and casual. The goods: I started with the most delicious cocktail (L'or Percéene) and went with the pan-seared scallops, whisky, raisins and walnuts, served with lobster risotto and vegetables. It was delicious - the scallops were seared to perfection and the dish was flavourful on all fronts. My mom had the fish of the day (rainbow trout) and loved it. We enjoyed dinner so much that we went back the next evening. Obviously, I couldn't pass up the cocktail, but this time, I decided to try the lobster meat with maple svrup and seaweed, served with risotto and vegetables. The dish was excellent. My mom, on the other hand, was less impressed with the seafood au gratin, which largely consisted of mashed potatoes vs seafood. It was a bit of a disappointment. I also don't think the side salad should be an extra charge. We also tried the lime pie, and it was awesome. Service: On our first night, it was excellent - very attentive wait staff. Outstanding fresh seafood. Great views. Best location in gaspe. Free wifi. This place is well known as the best restaurant in perce. The seafood is so fresh and delicious. It was my best meal in the entire gaspe region. The cod tongue with sea urchin foam was a perfect greasy appetizer after a long hike. The lobster was so fresh, it tasted like the sea. The cheesecake was phenomenal. The only downside was the service. My server basically plopped the food on my table but never refilled my water, or removed my plates in a timely manner. It also took too long in between courses and forever to get her attention to actually order. I ordered over $100 worth of food for 1 person and she hardly deserved $5 for the 1 minute she spent in total throwing my plate on the table before running away. It was worse service than a typical asian restaurant in s big city. Luckily free wifi helped with this issue. I'll be back for the food if I ever come back to the gaspe. If you're touring around town, plan to make this your lunch or dinner stop. This is the absolute best place to eat and you will not regret it! Get there early for lunch for the best seats in the glass house area with views of the sea. Tables are limited so there and no large groups accommodated for that seating. You can see the Percé rock from your seat in this section. You can get the obvious, fish and chips which comes in a little boat dish (cute!), but Pizza Gaspésienne is well worth a try. The Fisherman's soup was beyond amazing but I don't think there's anything on the menu you won't like. Service was friendly and food came out quick. While this place does look huge, it fills up really fast so you may need a reservation for supper. Access is from the side and the patio is open depending on the weather. Parking is off the main road but you can't get into the restaurant there; employee entrance only. If you like seafood, this is the only place you need to go to! read more

We are doing a road trip in the Gaspesie peninsula and by far this was our best meal! Everything was top notch! The view is unbeatable , the lovely decor, nice professional service and the food. Firstly, this restaurant is the draw of the town. Very busy main street location with limited parking in front of restaurant. Second, The wait at the door can be long even with a reservation (witch is essential). Everyone lines up, with or without a reservation. Once inside, the service can be spotty if they are busy (and they usually are). The variety of drinks is interesting and the menu if somewhat limited (if we remove the large pizza choices) is intriguing but definitely on the expensive side. Not sure that we will be back, but if you fancy seafood and large hungry crowds by all means go. read more

We made reservations two days in advance, at 7pm. When We entered we saw other people waiting for table. We sit at the foot of the stairs and beside the service stand. It was not a comfortable table. We ordered seafood pizza and the trident (three kind of seafood in one plate). The waitress suggested a fries with the pizza. However, we didn't get it but still got charged. Pizza was good but we couldn't finish it. Sharing is a good idea for ladies. My plate had risotto, salmon, scallops and lobster claws. Very good of timing to cook. Good food, breathtaking view of the rock ( make sure you sit on the terrace), friendly staff. I have the snail's entrée which counts as a full dish I say. This was the first time I had some and I enjoyed it! Atlantic Cod fish is a species peculiar to this coast and Percé is known to be the hot spot for it. Then I have the cod fish fillet. A very different texture indeed. The portion is too big and I shared mine with my wife. The restaurant is clean, well decorated and cozy. This might be the best fish restaurant I have ever been to in my life!!! Totally understand why it's booked up weeks in advance. Came to celebrate a birthday and it was fantastic - quick and courteous service, delicious food and super well priced for what you get. Dinner on a Friday night in this restaurant was a head-banging nightmare. Right off the mark I must say the food was beautifully prepared & presented and also delicious. I had halibut w lemon & capers. Hubs had whiskey seared scallops. Both were delectable. He also had the seafood chowder that was very good. I had ordered a green salad as well, but it never showed up. The bread with the meal was served fresh & warm with an herbed butter which was soft enough to spread on the bread w/o tearing it to pieces (ok, it's the little things). Our problem was the service. Our server was very friendly and quick to help us with our poor French by being an above average English speaker & being very gracious about it. Then the table next to us vacated & they seated a table of 10 next to ours. Four adults & SIX children under 7. That occurred as the Hubs was having his soup & I was waiting for my errant salad. It was also effectively the end of any attention from our server. While I certainly understand that the seating arrangement was not in the purview of the waitstaff, it only increased our displeasure. They were not even all seated before they had to rearrange the tables, one child was running from one end of the table to the other, colliding with chairs & tables all the way. Another was squalling about something. Two others were fighting over some imagined slight. Next minute three of them were under the table. Seriously? We paid a premium for this situation? The server made repeated stops at this table and another 2-top next to ours to fill water glasses, bring extra plates, serve wine, deliver food & check on the clients while we languished in the corner hemmed in by the horde of feral children. Just the normal amount of attention from our server would have gone a long way toward giving us some reason to feel at least the tiniest bit positive about this completely horrific situation created by a foursome of rude, thoughtless, ego-centric, oblivious, asshole adults who paid zero attention to the effect the out of control actions of their offspring were having on other diners. We had to remind the server of requests we had made more than once and at the end of our meal sat staring at empty plates so long it was ludicrous. When our server came to the table to ask if we wanted dessert, we had to remind her that the Hubs had ordered the Table d'Hote which included dessert her response was "Oh, yes. I'll get the menu." Then waited 10-15 minutes for the dessert menu to arrive, waited another 7 or 8 minutes for her to come back to take his order and yet another 10-15 for the dessert (which we ordered to-go in order to escape as quickly as we were able) to arrive. As I said earlier, each of these waiting periods was made interminable by the fact that the server was at the other tables seeing to niceties that should have waited a minute while she saw to our essentials. She frequently looked at us, saw we had put the menu down & were ready to order, but found it more pressing to fill glasses at the large table & clear plates from the other 2-top while we festered. Again, just the normal amount of attention would have spread oil on the choppy waters of our displeasure. A simple smile indicating she could see we were tired of the children bumping our chairs to get us to move out of their way and slapping their grubby little paws (which so recently had been on the floor under the table) on our table. I had overpriced Fish & Chips think at this price they had to be at least fresh. What I got was basically a couple of large totally tasteless fish sticks. We loved this restaurant so much, my friend say as he had the best meal he's ever had! We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality service, atmosphere and food. We shared a seafood platter which hat lobster, salmon, scallops, mussels, risotto, vegetables and more. Then we topped off the meal with the most amazing cheesecake...made by pastry chef who has been there for over 33 years. This was definitely our worst experience on our Gaspesian tour. The staff was either rude or clueless (or both) and the chef never even learned to cook! I order a grilled fish and made a comment to the waiter when the fish I was given was fried (grossly at that with disgusting batter). The waiter came back from the kitchen saying that the chef said that's how it's cooked and it's panned! First, the menu says grilled not panned. Second, the fish was neither grilled nor panned it was fried! I know it's Percé thus touristy thus less care can be given but hey thinking your customers are idiots and you can just serve them anything...?! read more
