Food is ordinary. Seafood bisque which cost $14 was like minestrone out of a can with some chunks of seafood thrown in.

We had the cod tongues (which are actually throat meat) deep fried with sea urchin butter. Delicious, tender and rich with flavour. I had the Trident: maple grilled salmon, whiskey & raisin seared scallops and lobster in Noroi orange liqueur and a cream sauce with lobster risotto and veggies. Everything was so tasty! Highly recommended! The restaurant was busy and full of life. Our server was very attentive and helpful. If you're in Percé you need to check it out.

I was disappointed by the food in the region which were very overpriced, small portion and taste being bad. Yet this restaurant is the exception, exceptionally good. The place was busy, we are walk in customer at the time it opens for the day. Reserved tables already have a line up, and the walk in customers also lined up. Eventually, we couldn't get a table, but was arranged with a reservation 1 hour later. The town has lot of gift shops which the time flew and we got in before we got hungry. The service was awesome and attentive. Very friendly staffs and always being helpful. We ordered appetizers and our main meals. We were excited as the reviews and photos all looked great. The fish soup was full of fresh seafood ingredients, a bit too salty and it reminded me of some Asian styled fish soup. But overall not too bad a way to try the local seafood and fishes. The octopus and hummus was not a supreme appetizer as well. As I compared to the octopus I had in Portugal which cooked tender and tasty. Even compared to the octopus I used to get from Costco was more tender as well. However, the mix of hummus to the dish was good, and the hummus was really good! What shine was the main dishes. The lobster was fresh and the lobster risotto was tasty. I wished there were more risotto. The seafood pasta however outshine everything. The pasta cooked Al dente, the sauce was full of seafood flavor and mixed perfectly together. The tiramisu as a finish was too sweet and a bit soggy. But overall a very good experience and probably the best seafood restaurant in the region considering the ingredients, taste, service, restaurant ambiance and price.

It was quite unassuming - a quiet-looking building lit with an "open" sign & with a small sign by road but otherwise unannounced (we wouldn't have found it if not for Google). Beef cheek was pretty soft & quite tasty. The beef taste was quite strong. Seafood Poutine was decent. The fries were pretty crispy. The sauce was mild even for seafood poutine. There was quite a lot of seafood. The curds were OK.

The first evening was great. We were seated promptly, our orders were taken fairly quickly and our dishes arrived soon afterwards. On our second evening, we kind of had the opposite experience. We had made reservations for 7pm, but when we arrived, we were made to wait outside in line... in the rain. 13min later, we were let in. When we made reservations earlier that day, we had asked for seats at the bar. Instead, we were seated at a small table next to the bar, as the bar was full. I had ordered a beer and when the waitress came back for our food orders, she bumped into the table and spilled some of my drink. No apologies given. Just an awkward "oops!" on her part. Overall, it seemed like the staff seemed overwhelmed that evening and service suffered as a result. All of that said, the place has a lot of potential and I'm more than willing to give them another try.

The place: Fantastic space that's located inside a house. The design and decor are phenomenal and their terrace is amazing. Also, great music. The goods: We started with the burrata, tomato, basil and balsamic vinegar. We were served the full ball of burrata, though it wasn't at room temperature therefore it was firm (not a huge deal - I just like when burrata is soft and creamy). As far as the tomatoes go, there was literally the equivalent of two cherry tomatoes cut in two, on the plate... For our main, we both ordered the seafood cassoulet, which was sinfully delicious and quite filling. There was a lot of seafood in there, and the rich, creamy sauce was just incredible. Considering how hearty the dish is, I would have preferred a salad or more vegetables instead of a side of mashed potatoes (there were a few veggies served with the dish). My mom wanted to order the chicken however it wasn't ready... Since we were full, we skipped dessert and ordered coffee - I don't know what kind of coffee these guys purchase but it was one of the best coffees I've had in a restaurant. For. Real. Service: OK. Price point: I personally found the prices to be a little on the high end considering what you get.

Let me tell you we were not disappointed! My friend and I are vegetarian and their menu is limited when it comes to meatless dishes, but the dishes are freshly made on the spot so they accomodated us (we had a pasta and instead of pancetta, they put veggies). Food was so good we went back the next two mornings for breakfast where we ordered the caramel apple crêpe, an omelet, a breakfast plate, and eggs benedict where they again replaced the bacon for tomatoes. Super friendly staff as well, very accommodating!

When we first got to Perce we stopped at Resto Bar. It has an amazing location. Very hard to…read morebeat!!! Absolutely amazing view of the rock and the water and the island ile Bonaventure. Beyond that its not worth checking out. If you are willing to pay for an amazing view then you will. You will pay for cheap food and drinks at outrageous prices so that you can sit there and enjoy the view. I ordered the lobster roll which came out on 2 hot dog buns. How much did I pay? $20 dollars! $20 dollars for something I could have made for myself for half the price (at least) and could have then gone and sat at one of the free park benches that were a few hundred yards away. That didn't upset me though because even though they came on hot dog buns they still tasted pretty good. $20 dollars good? No. But I was paying for the view right? Then my margarita came. I can honesty say I have never spent more for a magarita ($13) and I have never had a more disgusting margarita in my life. Again I thought to myself "You are paying for the view". Then I went to pay. Between my Wife and I we bought the lobster roll, a personal pizza, a margarita, and an iced tea. Grand total with tip came to $75. I was so happy to be on vacation and in Perce that the price didn't phase me. Then the waiter told me that they didn't have a credit card machine. In other words I had to pay outrageous prices for my food and my wifes food, get the worst margarita I have ever tasted (which was also less then an shot of tequila from my recollection) and then I couldn't even pay for my $75 dollar bill with a credit or debit card but had to pay in cash. My final verdict. Save your money. Is the view amazing? Yes! But you can get the same view for free if you walk down the beach for 2 minutes. The food tasted good but I wouldn't have paid half the price I did anywhere else for the same food. To top it off I had to pay in cash which is something I don't like to do if i don't have to. I give this place 2 stars for the view seulement. There is no reason why any person should ever agree to eat here just for the price alone. Learn from my misfortune and steer clear. The rest of my experience on the mainland of perce was not much different but my time taking a cruise around the rock and the Island of Ile Bonaventure were quite the exception. My final verdict is don't eat or stay in Perce. Stay and eat elsewhere and you will not feel like you just got screwed out of your money. The sites and tours are really cool but the restaurants and cabins/hotels (especially this one) are not worth even a second of your time. Disgruntled traveler
