It is about 10 minutes north of Bathurst in a wooded area that overlooks the ocean. The setting is absolutely beautiful. My colleague and I split a lobster bisque which was an abomination. It tasted like rotting fish. We both had one bite and then didn't eat another bit. We told the server that we didn't enjoy it and he said sorry but then left the stinky, disgusting soup on the table for the rest of the meal and never even comped it. Next came the halibut which was overcooked and over-seasoned and just prior to our table being served, we heard the microwave going in the kitchen. For somewhere that charges well over $20 a plate, I expect more than microwaved food. The scalloped potatoes I have to say, were divine. Some of the best I've ever had but that alone cannot make up for the worst bisque ever and an overpriced meal.

It's an absolutely beautiful setting, down a gravel driveway with wild flowers that spits out on to a cliff that over looks the Bay of Chaleur. Service is always delightful and we love the lodge-like setting. They even provide a set of binoculars to use to look through the big windows at the fishermen and birds. They offer delicious seafood and pate. The chef came out and asked about our meals and we all loved them. What a special place this is!

Unexpected Gem Wanted to try this place as the reviews were good and we were not disappointed. They take no reservations so we showed up just after 5:35 pm on a Thursday & took the last table for 3 by the window. The building is unassuming but don't let this fool you. Our meal was fantastic. Down-to-earth dishes, with fresh ingredients and well balanced flavours and textures. Amazing creations with rose jelly, elderberry & kiwi. Mostly local ingredients There was only one person serving/hosting but she was so friendly and a total dynamo so don't expect to have a quick meal here as the point is to relax, enjoy the moment and savor every bite. Presenration was simple but elegant and every dish was so incredibly satisfying in every sense. We have eaten in great restaurants in France and Québec; and Le Saint-Honoré ranks high up there without any pretense, just by doing what they love using the best ingrédients they can source & combining classic with new nuances! Will definitely come back next time we are in the Gaspésie!

We had the cod tongues (which are actually throat meat) deep fried with sea urchin butter. Delicious, tender and rich with flavour. I had the Trident: maple grilled salmon, whiskey & raisin seared scallops and lobster in Noroi orange liqueur and a cream sauce with lobster risotto and veggies. Everything was so tasty! Highly recommended! The restaurant was busy and full of life. Our server was very attentive and helpful. If you're in Percé you need to check it out.

I was disappointed by the food in the region which were very overpriced, small portion and taste being bad. Yet this restaurant is the exception, exceptionally good. The place was busy, we are walk in customer at the time it opens for the day. Reserved tables already have a line up, and the walk in customers also lined up. Eventually, we couldn't get a table, but was arranged with a reservation 1 hour later. The town has lot of gift shops which the time flew and we got in before we got hungry. The service was awesome and attentive. Very friendly staffs and always being helpful. We ordered appetizers and our main meals. We were excited as the reviews and photos all looked great. The fish soup was full of fresh seafood ingredients, a bit too salty and it reminded me of some Asian styled fish soup. But overall not too bad a way to try the local seafood and fishes. The octopus and hummus was not a supreme appetizer as well. As I compared to the octopus I had in Portugal which cooked tender and tasty. Even compared to the octopus I used to get from Costco was more tender as well. However, the mix of hummus to the dish was good, and the hummus was really good! What shine was the main dishes. The lobster was fresh and the lobster risotto was tasty. I wished there were more risotto. The seafood pasta however outshine everything. The pasta cooked Al dente, the sauce was full of seafood flavor and mixed perfectly together. The tiramisu as a finish was too sweet and a bit soggy. But overall a very good experience and probably the best seafood restaurant in the region considering the ingredients, taste, service, restaurant ambiance and price.

It got a little spotty as they got busier. We were first to arrive at the restaurant. The food was very good. The sides of vegetables and 1/2 a potato were the same for all the seafood dishes. Three different fish dish were ordered and all were done just right (I sampled the salmon and halibut in addition to my plate of cod). We were just a little disappointed by the small serving of sides. We all had desserts which were very good.

We had a hard time getting hotels never mind figuring out where and when we'd eat. We spent two nights in Carleton, drinking in the Atlantic Ocean. And we quickly figured out that the key to success was reservations and ask the locals. We spotted this restaurant on a walk along the boardwalk. I called and we were able to score a reservation for 730. A wonderful dining experience. We had a view of the ocean and the interior was cozy, warm and inviting. My husband loves his beer and had discovered the local microbrew, petit caribou. He had a few pints while I worked my way through a few glasses of the house white. I had a mixed salad as an appetizer. The dressing was light and tangy. My husband ordered the lamb abs was in heaven. I had the salmon in a cream sauce. Delightful and such flavour. And to our delight we were given a pint glass as a souvenir. Highly recommend if you happen to be in the neighbourhood.

The place: Fantastic space that's located inside a house. The design and decor are phenomenal and their terrace is amazing. Also, great music. The goods: We started with the burrata, tomato, basil and balsamic vinegar. We were served the full ball of burrata, though it wasn't at room temperature therefore it was firm (not a huge deal - I just like when burrata is soft and creamy). As far as the tomatoes go, there was literally the equivalent of two cherry tomatoes cut in two, on the plate... For our main, we both ordered the seafood cassoulet, which was sinfully delicious and quite filling. There was a lot of seafood in there, and the rich, creamy sauce was just incredible. Considering how hearty the dish is, I would have preferred a salad or more vegetables instead of a side of mashed potatoes (there were a few veggies served with the dish). My mom wanted to order the chicken however it wasn't ready... Since we were full, we skipped dessert and ordered coffee - I don't know what kind of coffee these guys purchase but it was one of the best coffees I've had in a restaurant. For. Real. Service: OK. Price point: I personally found the prices to be a little on the high end considering what you get.

Let me tell you we were not disappointed! My friend and I are vegetarian and their menu is limited when it comes to meatless dishes, but the dishes are freshly made on the spot so they accomodated us (we had a pasta and instead of pancetta, they put veggies). Food was so good we went back the next two mornings for breakfast where we ordered the caramel apple crêpe, an omelet, a breakfast plate, and eggs benedict where they again replaced the bacon for tomatoes. Super friendly staff as well, very accommodating!
