All of the employees are very friendly and the subs are always fresh. I would recommend this location to everyone.

Nice staff, very clean, quality is the same as all subways but definitely the best subway in Branford.

This subway is definitely better than most. Nice spot in the summer to get a quick sub before going out on the boat. I would recommend it

The Feeling boogie cheddar grits were cooked perfectly the langoustine was cooked perfectly. I was worried the mushroom toast wouldn't be sufficient but it was a large portion with two thick pieces of toast. Eggs perfectly cooked. Will certainly return, perhaps for dinner.

I'd seen this place recommended on Yelp a few times but had never made it over until today. When we walked in, we honestly thought they were closed because there was only one four-top occupied and one person sitting at the bar. We grabbed a table for two, and I started with a mimosa while my sister ordered a coffee before eventually joining me with a mimosa. She had the OG breakfast sandwich, a classic that really hit the spot. I ordered the Madame Monsieur with fries, and everything was cooked perfectly. The food tasted fresh and made to order, which is always appreciated. Our server, Angelina, also made an excellent mimosa the orange juice to Prosecco ratio was just right (a small detail that makes a big difference!). Service was on the slower side, but from what we could tell, Angelina was the only server working, so it was understandable. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and has the charm of a little café, making it a nice place to enjoy a relaxed brunch. Overall, a very enjoyable first visit. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

Came here around 11 AM on a Saturday as I've been looking for a place to get a good sandwich near…read moreme. There was easy to find free street parking right outside the restaurant. The place had a few people in, but I was quickly helped! I placed an order initially for the chicken, broccoli, rabe, but they were out of some ingredients (which makes sense, looks like they were processing some large orders) so I instead opted for a chicken bomb, one of their hot sandwiches. I went for a sub (over a roll) and got a drink, my total came out to around $22. I grabbed my drink from the side fridge, and was told it would take a few minutes. There are a few tables and a TV playing, so a nice place to wait, and eat if you're in a hurry. There are also several tables outside which would be nice to eat at in the warmer months. Quickly, my sandwich was ready and warm! The person working gave me a bag which she had added napkins to. The sandwich was significantly bigger than expected. Honestly for me, two meals but easily could have been three. Generous with portions of everything too. I will definitely be back to try more of their sandwiches and their pizzas!

The market carries a variety of products including olive oils, canned tomatoes, antipasto specialties, pasta, and various Italian imports. However, they really shine when it comes to their prepared foods. The market makes a number of dishes in house which include fresh bread, deli sandwiches, hot Italian sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, pasta dishes, stuffed breads, calzones, and even New Haven-style pizza! Del Monaco's also offers catering services. I recently stopped at Del Monaco's for lunch. I had been there once before and I remember that their sandwiches were pretty good. I haven't been back in a while because they have VERY limited hours: only Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 am until 3 pm. I happened to have a day off from work, so I was able to get to the market in the early afternoon. I ordered their "Chicken Cutlet & Broccoli Rabe" sub on fresh Italian bread with melted mozzarella. It was phenomenal! I decided to make the most of my visit and ordered a large "Mozzarella Pizza" to bring home for my family for dinner. Not long after ordering the pizza, I overheard a staff member yell out, "No more pizza orders." They had run out of dough for the day, and I got my pizza order in just in time. My family and I were also planning on going to the beach the following day, so I decided to order a couple of more deli sandwiches to bring along. I ordered an "Italian Dream" (prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted pepper, Stella table cheese) for myself and an "Italian Combo" (ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone) for my wife. My family and I all enjoyed the pizza later that day for dinner, and my wife and I loved the sandwiches at our beach trip the following day. There aren't too many Italian markets like this left. Del Monaco's is a real gem and I highly recommend stopping by for one of their delicious Italian sandwiches or a tasty pizza pie.

My friends will tell you. I almost never use the phrase "Hidden Gem"to describe a restaurant. Most…read moreplaces aren't hidden enough, or gem-y enough. But I'm calling a New Haven Cafe a Hidden Gem -- The Farm Belly. The Farm Belly ("FB") is a farm-to-table cafe in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven. I was recently researching New Haven breakfast spots, and FB came up with a 4.6 Star rating in Yelp, and a 4.8 Star rating on Google. Strong ratings! My sausage, egg and cheese biscuit was delicious. FB posts its Farm Partners right on the wall. My eggs were from @thefarmerscow and the chives were from @beckettfarm . The space is cute and the atmosphere is inviting. FB is adjacent to the Quinnipiac River and some tables have river views. Service was terrific. I spoke with the owners. Love them. For all these reasons, I'm calling The Farm Belly a gem. Since I spend a lot of time on the New Haven restaurant scene, I was surprised the FB name didn't ring a bell at first. There are two primary reasons for that. One, this section of Fair Haven is tucked away in one of the more quiet areas of New Haven, and out-of-towners are more focused on other busier areas of NH. Two, FB's signs don't stand out as you drive by. FB is located in a historical building called "King's Block", and that name still appears out front. There are a couple of small "Farm Belly" signs, but you might miss them if you're driving. Since "King's Block" has served as a hotel, church, fish store, etc. since it was constructed in 1816, you might not even notice that it's a cafe. For these reasons, I think "Hidden" applies as well. The Farm Belly is a Hidden Gem in my book. It's open for breakfast, lunch, coffee and treats 6 days a week.

The drinks are always delicious, I tried the banana latte today, a seasonal item, and it was a 5/5. I highly recommend the chorizo breakfast burrito, even the small was the perfect size for me.
