They have 4 kiosks that you could order from except they're not turned on. The menu that's lit up on the boards behind the girl at the counter isn't the complete menu, you really need the kiosk. So I'm waiting in line to ask the girl if they have a complete menu I can look at or maybe they could turn on the kiosk machines, and as I find myself next in line... Somebody from the back tells the girl at the counter to stop taking orders and come help and out food. So there I stand for another 5 minutes not even ready to order yet as I still don't have a complete menu. All that's on the boards in front of me are the meal deals. So I left. I tried to get their attention before leaving just to alert them that the machines were turned off and all they did was wave back and say we'll be with you as soon as we can. Including the girl they pulled from the front counter it appeared to me like there was four people working there. I don't own a Wendy's I've never managed a Wendy's so I don't know how many people it requires to Ronnie Wendy's but I'm guessing they were one person short.

The owners of XCrispy spent a year transforming a run-down former Pizza Hut from an eyesore into a nicely remodeled, open space, blending halal traditions with American comfort staples like smashburgers, chopped cheese, and chicken over rice. X Crispy is near my job, so I was excited to try them. I saw they had breakfast options, and they had a steak, egg and cheese sandwich, which oddly enough isn't offered in many places in CNY, so that was the first thing I tried. You're able to customize, so I got it on a roll with "mixed cheese" & their house sauce. I ordered online, and their online ordering option is easy to use and allows substitutions. It was ready as soon as I got there, which was around 10AM on a Saturday. It was delicious, still hot and fresh even though it was already ready when I got there. My only complaint was there wasn't enough house sauce on it for my taste, but it was still delicious, piled high with steak. My second time, my wife wanted to give it a try, and we got some dinner items. We ordered online again, a smash burger and one of their crispy chicken sandwiches. We asked for several things on the side, as we were taking it to go and had about a 35 minute drive with it. We got it home and unfortunately were disappointed. Both items were dry, the chicken sandwich almost seemed like it was frozen, and all items that were asked for on the side were simply removed and left out from our order. I didn't think we would return after that, but I just kept seeing good review after good review and thought...this has to have been an off day, or the food simply doesn't travel well. So I gave them another try over the weekend when I was craving a cheese burger and knew I had time to eat it there. I, again, ordered online and got the smash hit burger with fries, and left out tomato and lettuce as I'm not a fan on smash burgers. And they definitely redeemed themselves. Again, food was ready as soon as I got there, was fresh, the burger was moist, juicy, seasoned well, and not only did it have the sauce on it, I was also given extra on the sides, so I have to chalk the one time up to a bad day, and everyone's allowed that. I will continue to go back, but more than likely, only when I'm able to eat right there.

Definitely a spot where you could linger for a while. Food-wise, we ordered the fried rice with crispy chicken (breaded in crushed Cheerios--yes, Cheerios, and yes, surprisingly delicious!), the bánh mì, and the crispy chicken sandwich, which ended up being the star of the show. Every bite of that sandwich was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and satisfying. We upgraded our side to the greens, which came topped with some mysterious orange ingredient--maybe a grated carrot dressing? Whatever it was, it was scrumptious. We also ordered a side of pickles, which were surprisingly affordable and so flavorful that they disappeared fast. We didn't try any drinks, but the menu had plenty of interesting options to choose from. One of my favorite parts of the experience was how family-friendly the place felt: while we waited, the kids grabbed a new-to-us game (The Enchanted Forest) from the board game shelves, which made the time fly by. Service was attentive and friendly without hovering, and overall we had a fantastic experience. If we lived closer, this would be a regular lunch spot for sure!
