The mat when you first walk in did slide a little. But the place looked really clean and very 50's themed. We got fried mushrooms, chili cheese fries, bacon cheese burgers. It was all pretty good. No complaints about the food. My wife said it was a really good chili on the fries. Some places don't have a good chili and this place does. I got a chocolate shake with malt. It was a good malt flavor in the shake. We will probably try it again.

"Sonny & Cher" took our orders at the counter while "Ritchie Valens" was singing "La Bamba" as he tended to the the grilling. My "Pretty Woman" ordered a 1/4 pound hamburger with American cheese while I, "The Big Bopper", decided to do it "My Way" by ordering a 1/2 pound blue cheeseburger. Each included fresh lettuce, slices of both tomato and red onion, and an abundance of potato chips because they and "You Know What I Like". I understand there is a "Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On" at this restaurant, but we settled on diet Cokes with hers included and mine extra, now "Ain't That A Shame"? Definitely a spot where you could linger for a while. Food-wise, we ordered the fried rice with crispy chicken (breaded in crushed Cheerios--yes, Cheerios, and yes, surprisingly delicious!), the bánh mì, and the crispy chicken sandwich, which ended up being the star of the show. Every bite of that sandwich was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and satisfying. We upgraded our side to the greens, which came topped with some mysterious orange ingredient--maybe a grated carrot dressing? Whatever it was, it was scrumptious. We also ordered a side of pickles, which were surprisingly affordable and so flavorful that they disappeared fast. We didn't try any drinks, but the menu had plenty of interesting options to choose from. One of my favorite parts of the experience was how family-friendly the place felt: while we waited, the kids grabbed a new-to-us game (The Enchanted Forest) from the board game shelves, which made the time fly by. Service was attentive and friendly without hovering, and overall we had a fantastic experience. If we lived closer, this would be a regular lunch spot for sure!

The ambiance is dim and quiet, but they were happy to have us. My 4 year old used colored pencils on coloring sheets we brought with us. For babies and small kids, they have ingelisa chairs that clip on the high tables and I was concerned about the high chairs for our 4 year old but it was fine. She devoured her entire meal(chicken tenders) and a half of our 1 year olds' (they have a kids menu with chicken tenders, grilled peanut butter and fluff, noodles with butter, hot dog..). The service was fast and great. While I am vegetarian and my spouse is gluten free, we are always pleasantly surprised when we both find delicious food. I loved the general tso's poboy with cauliflower and tofu. I wish there was more cauliflower since my 1 year old took many of those pieces. My spouse got something with "pulled pork and quinoa" and he said it was very good too.
