We purchase a sandwich at this establishment and was greeted by a kind and patient young lady. We were given really great service.

Friendly staff and fairy quick service. Food was good except my sub had too much mustard on it.

We frequent this Jimmy Johns in Alamosa. Typically, the whole experience is average and the food is…read moredecent. We always stop here when passing through, maybe twice a month. We always order inside and never the drive through. The Cuban is (*WAS - keep reading) my all-time favorite and hubby switches up his order. I can certainly handle missing items on a sandwich straight off the menu - as in nothing added, nothing taken away. I can manage a longer-than-necessary wait time even when there's no other customers. What I *detest is an agreeable, pleasant person that couldn't muster enough thoughtfulness to follow through. How difficult is it to cut a sandwich, while standing in front of her? Our last visit went like this. Hubby went inside as usual to order, two sandwiches, nothing else. He knows I like my sandwich cut into thirds, especially when we eat while driving. Placing the order - a Big John and a Jimmy Cubano - he asked politely to have the Cubano cut into thirds. The gal graciously agreed. My husband noticed there were only two people working, no name tags, and the gentleman was busy doing other tasks. Sandwiches were made, paid for, my husband left. Simple, right? When he got to the truck, I opened mine, and seeing it wasn't cut, I asked. Hubby said she was behind some sort of cover while making the sandwiches. Of course I called. Little did I know at that moment that I was speaking to the order taker / sandwich maker, Nataly. The offender answered the phone, without offering her name. I thought to myself, why don't they share their name? Unprofessional. I told her we were just there to get lunch and may I ask some questions. Sure! Do you have sharp knives - she says yes. Are you allowed to use them, she says Um, yes. I was thinking that maybe the bread is made elsewhere and arrives pre-cut. She asks why? I patiently explained that my husband asked for my sandwich to be cut. Get this: Nataly said verbatim, "It has to be on the receipt for us to know to cut it." Really? I'm not even kidding. When someone is placing the order face to face, eye contact, and you agree? On the receipt? So, you charge for this? I hung up, infuriated. To the owner, IF you read this. Doesn't matter if young Nataly is terminated for immaturity, lack of training, lack of understanding, lack of common sense, etc. We certainly won't ever be back to see if you've made any improvements. Look at the pic. The receipt showed her name, this particular location by address, date and time. This was the absolute last time we darken your doorway. Order type

Any trip to a restaurant that starts with, "We've been written up by the health department more…read moretimes than I can count" is probably not going to be successful in any way. This was quite possibly the strangest visit to Subway. I walked in, asked for a 6 inch chicken breast sandwich. The gal working behind the counter put it in the microwave. I thought that was a little odd, and asked about it. She proceeded to tell me it was frozen solid. That didn't sound right, and as she then told me about issues with the health department, I lost confidence in my choice to eat there. I switched my order to ham. A moment later, when I asked for spinach, I was told that it was for salads only. Seriously? I was not allowed to have any. Then, when I asked for cucumbers, I noticed that they were very stiff. I asked if they were, by chance, frozen. Indeed, the worker told me that everything on the line was frozen solid and again told me about how many times they have been written up for various things. I said, "See ya!" and left. What else could I do?

Our server was too frazzled to serve everyone in the restaurant efficiently. There were two 5-top tables, and three booths with 2 to 3 people each. It took about 10 min after we were seated before the server came to take our order. I asked for water with lemon, but she forgot the lemon. She brought lemons 10 min later when she brought the food to the 5-top next to us. Our food took another 15 min after we ordered. After food was served to everyone in the restaurant, our server came by to check on us...we were 3/4 done with our meal. FOOD. We were provided chips and salsa (enough for 1-1/2 people only) after we were seated. Since food was slow coming, we asked for more and was told it would cost us $1.99 for another round. Huh?! We agreed to the charge because we were starving! I loved the chips though because it was not store-bought. For our meal, I had a combination meal of chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada and crispy relleno with green chile. Taste wise, the food lacked the UMPH to make the food taste really good although the crispy relleno was REALLY CRISPY! My husband had a beef burrito meal. Like mine, he said it was nothing to write home about. Not sure why this restaurant was given the title of best Mexican restaurant in the SLV. No way! We are not returning.
